Bill and Kaitlin, thanks for your video. Its good to mark a center position on the upper edge of the windshield about1/2" to 3/4" in from the edge so that it can be seen when the windshield is in its slots. Then mark a center position on the aircraft cabin roof skin just at the edge of the skin. When fit checking the windshield ensure that both center marks, (the one on the windshield and the one on the aircraft skin) are adjacent to each other. This will verify that the windshield is centered in the aircraft each time you do fit checking if the windshield needs trimming. For the final installation it will also mean that the windshield will be centered.
Hey Bill, I thought I knew that voice on UTube. Great video on Cessna 120 windscreen. Still have my 120. Flying to Tex will stop in Harratage creek. Hope to see ya if still there. Hope to see more videos on this same plane.... Jamie 1888N
G,day Bill and Katelyn from Sydney Australia. Very interesting process of sticking the neoprene rubber weather seal on the edge and rivotting the aluminium. I'm still amazed by the panel screen printing. That was magic WWII stuff. Now CNC machining and Lazer etching or stickers? 🧐🖌️🛩️ 🌏🇦🇺

Good tip! We did that but it may have ended up on the cutting room floor. Thanks for watching!
Nice blend of talk and work-thanks!
Thanks! We're getting better. Slowwwwwly....
Doing the front window install on my 172 this week. Great video! Curious…why did you trim the felt from the sides of the windows?

Great to hear from you! Stop in when you’re in town!
@@HangaRatz will do !!
I would like to know more about the sealant you spoke of at the bottom . What is the product name?
Pro Seal - MIL-S-8802 P/S 890 B2 or PR-1422B2
Did you have to sand the sides as well or just the bottom
Sides were ok. Mostly bottom and top
Super interesting!! Thank you.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Super job guys👌
Thanks much!
This looks VERY familiar…. like we did this before 😉
It’s deja vu all over again…
Distinctly remember the stress of trimming the canopy OMG!
You were just the one buying the windshield! 🤣 Yup, gets a little edgy when you introduce the window to a saw or sander...
