I fully believe in my heart that Griffin will be the singer for Slipknot one day. That band is eternal.
I think it's better for slipknot to become a great legend. Their journey of more than 20 years may soon be nearing their destination. If the singer was replaced by Corey's son, perhaps it would have fail.

Imagine being handed the reigns to one of the most legendary and iconic bands of all time. Is he supposed to turn that offer down if it came along, or not want to do something like that just because Corey is his dad? Think of it this way. If the positions are handed down to hand selected replacements, the band could go on forever. In 30 or 40 years your grandchild could be listening to new Slipknot songs.

Without a doubt, Griffin is the only one who can be the new vocalist of Slipknot.

Seriously. Like, we really didn't need a play by play of the meaning of "eh-b-b-b-b-b-b", like he personally knows the goings-on between Corey and Griffin. Corey has invited Griff on stage countless times, sometimes for an entire song or two... with Slipknot AND Stone Sour. This man clearly loves his boy and I don't think he's worried one little bit about Griff "stealing" the spotlight. If anything, Corey has stepped back to allow Griff to have these experiences to make him comfortable in his own musical endeavors.
It all comes down to this.. Griffin is a huge talent of his own making. Has it helped that his daddy is the lead of one of the biggest metal bands in the world? Sure. But it's Griff's talent (passed on to him by the power of naturally beautiful guttural growling genetics) that is gonna take Vended to unimaginable places. It wouldn't matter if his daddy was the Slipknot and SS front man - if Griffin didn't have the talent, we wouldn't be having this discussion right now. And this video wouldn't exist.
Griffin is undoubtedly another force to be reckoned with, just like his daddy. And daddy is rightfully proud beyond words.
