I wanted to see if anyone else makes the same style of tuna salad that a lovely lady taught me to make years ago. We had a wonderful lunch together even though I spoke no Spanish and she spoke no English :)
She didn't add mayo to the mix and I don't either. At least on the first day but the leftovers the next day (after all the flavors have melded overnight) have a dollop of mayo added to them for a more creamy salad that I serve on toasted bread. These are just as delicious as the mayo-less tostadas.
I like to spread a base of guac on my tostada, a generous heap of tuna, a bit of sour cream and a bit of salsa on top.
