I remember years ago my first time on that park. They didn't have the van to take you to the areas (at least, not that I remember) I went solo, and it was a hoot. Knackering having to make my way back up to the top though.
Great video. Refreshing to see a more realistic riding video, not always one at an impossibly fast (for me)speed . I don't have superhuman strength, skill and reflexes. Dyfi looks like a great place to learn jumps. Casing a jump isn't catastrophic. Great design by Dan and siblings. If you want to go big you can. If you don't you can still try without killing yourself. It looks like so much fun to ride.
Everything is beautifully built, you can can roll almost every obstacle if you leave your front brake alone and commit. You'll leave with new found confidence in both your bike and your own abilities. Start slow, build on it quietly and you'll start to see the big boy lines on that "rollable" trail.
That feeling of dread is normally replaced with joy. It's the ones where you don't think about it that get you 😱 great edit, looks quite the roller coaster. 👍
Having watched some of the pro riders here I disgarded this park as too much for my ability. However watching this has made me rethink that and as soon as we can I think I'll be booking a trip! Great vid! Thanks
I'm watching this in Oregon & as soon as we can travel again I will be there. That bike park looks awesome. The Athertons did an amazing job building place👍🏾
Jumps look big and gnarly but good thing is you can get away with casing them all as no gaps etc by the looks of things so most people should be okay I’d of thought
Awesome video mate! I’ve just bought a full face to go here when restrictions lift. The place looks tons of fun but scary in equal measures 🤣. Will you be going back ?
The Slash is a 160/160mm enduro and it was fine, sure a 200mm downhill bike would handle the rougher sections better, but one of our group has ridden it on a 130mm trail bike on multiple occasions and still had a blast
This is really helpful actually, I've always been nervous of bike parks that I've seen the pros absolutely shredding, it's good to see what it's like to a medium-skilled normy like me.
Well we went to gisburn forest few weeks ago to see people doing hope line on carreras and Voodoo 🤷🏻♂️ Gisburn is rather difficult place for average rider
personally, after my last accident i havent been able to jump... but me thinks once i have moved to england and get my bike, ill be headed here :D p.s. techy stuff is where im good
Enjoying the video? I’d really appreciate a sub!
38 cases, 1 cleared... Quality video.. 👏👏 and what it's all about a bit of fun. 👍
Niiiice, great video! Its changed a bit since then! Well done on first bike park, got some gnarly stuff here!

Awesome true video mate , well done 👍, it can only get better mate . Keep up the good video work . The video pop up as a suggestion from YT which is 🔥
Thanks so much! Big fan of your vids :)
@@MTBRoyale legend thank you
I liked the video, the music and the accent. Keep it up!

Thanks for the video. Really useful to see someone riding there that isn't go HUUGE! It's made me want to go there now.
Great video, enjoyed watching it. You've convinced me to go, beforehand I was gonna give it a miss.
this is just the video I needed to see before committing to going there! (when we're allowed again) Good stuff.

Sick vid 🤘That place looks nuts, some of those jumps are huge!
The GoPro effect is real, there were a couple I felt like I'd never reach the top
that bike wash at the end was quite satisfying ha ha!

Yes! You caught scotty sliding back down the ramp! I should have come. Nice video mate
Great honest video mate I think you may have swung this for us riders that may worry about going to parks like this. Top work 👏 👌

Thanks for the comment! If you're coming all this way make sure you check out Revolution Bike Park too :)
That clamped top tube is giving me more of a panic attack than Dyfi! ;)
Another great vid, loving your content
Glad you enjoyed it - thanks so much for the comment
Lol classic case cam! Good vid mate .
That looks sick! Great video, if you’re having fun that’s all that matters 👏🏼
Gz. Nice video. Guess it could be more fun in dry conditions. Well done
what song is that at like 7:28

Exactly right

Im so bad at jumps, i like tech and drops and i was a bit scared of going here but after this video im gonna go beg my dad to take me after lockdown.
Shame the uplift looks so crowded. Would've hoped Dyfi could do better than that 😞
It's reduced numbers in the land rovers and all the windows have been removed. To say it's well ventilated is something of an understatement.

Thanks for the comment, I really appreciate it. I can't wait to go back now I know what I'm in for :) Will probably be booking for the new year soon.
@@MTBRoyale we’ve all booked on tonight. Had to come back and watch this again. Shitting my self 🙈
@@CyclingwithRuss just booked myself for June! You'll love it mate
@@MTBRoyale got 11 days left and had to come back and watch again. excited and nervous
you are going home safe and sound with a big smile. that's what it's about.
How was your trail bike at this park? Would an enduro or DH been more fun/capable? Looks like a great place!
The Slash is a 160/160mm enduro and it was fine, sure a 200mm downhill bike would handle the rougher sections better, but one of our group has ridden it on a 130mm trail bike on multiple occasions and still had a blast
@@MTBRoyale oh thanks! Didn't realise it was a Slash. I'm thinking of trading up my dh for something with 140-160mm in the future!
The clear/case counter was legendary. I’d beat you in cases anyway 💪💪
great video pal
This is really helpful actually, I've always been nervous of bike parks that I've seen the pros absolutely shredding, it's good to see what it's like to a medium-skilled normy like me.
Also, can't case 'em if you just roll 'em.
Some top advice for you there.
As a less-than-medium-skilled normy you'll do better than me ;)
Aslong as you have a smile on your face who cares if you clear or case
Fair play, reminds me of myself; less pump and more roll! 👍
No crashes?
a couple of small offs onto the knees but nothing significant! Thanks for the comment, I appreciate it
Good efforts mate!
that place looks amazing!
can you camp there or nearby ?
Well we went to gisburn forest few weeks ago to see people doing hope line on carreras and Voodoo 🤷🏻♂️

Never been to Gisburn but it's on the list! Thanks for the comment
Looks like you killed it mate
Super nice vid dude
The music is a tad intense like.
I want to go there tooo
You've got it iv been there
Would be easier to watch without the music man. We want the trail sounds! Nice one anyway glad you had a good one
Mabe keep your Reg and where you store the bike out of your vids, asking for trouble 👍🏻
personally, after my last accident i havent been able to jump... but me thinks once i have moved to england and get my bike, ill be headed here :D
p.s. techy stuff is where im good
If you like tech you'll love riding in the uk!
A very good bike park for all 👌
Nothing wrong with treating jumps as bumps but I think if you rode with better riders you'd progress pretty quickly.
couldn't carry on watching due to the horrific stressful music lol
At least you didn’t get lost😅
Good vid but why the awful backing music? No need.
Errr you can’t jump whatsoever. No need for the case/clear counter
Cheesy music puts me right off watching this video
Me too
