- Today the Election Commission took cognisance of the model code violation against the Prime Minister’s speech in Rajasthan and issued a notice to BJP president JP Nadda. The poll panel also issued a similarly worded notice to Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge about complaints filed by the BJP. But beyond notices, how can the Election Commission ensure the Model Code of Conduct is enforced?

Thanks very much Fay for explaining about the Election Commission and its workings. Helps the lay people who know nothing much besides casting your votes. Goa has seen the ink wash away from the marked finger at several.places. is there any recourse on this. Several EVMs were not working and had to be replaced. Names of several voters were deleted from the Electrol List. Is anything likely to be done???
it's possible to complain to the police and the EC but scroll has a story on how the complaint mechanism to the EC is not working
The Model Code of conduct should be in place forever. Especially for leaders of various parties.
At present nothing but to take action only against opposition
EC has announced re-poll in Santrampur, please talk about this issue, no national media covering this news

The less said about the ECI's monitoring implementation and violations of the MCC, the better. It's so soft on the ruling party's top leaders. It looks like a biased umpire in a cricket match who doesn't declare Sachin out LBW on a strong appeal. Karnataka action was almost post facto n had no meaning.

Deep rooted wrought in the system even EC has forgotten that our country’s success depends in ethical and fare enforcement of rules instead of selfishness to their commitments/ oath for non partisan political leanings 🇮🇳☮️

In 2014 election s all the election commissioners were appointed by Congress government. And Congress score went down to half century mark, which Congress maintained in 2019.please say,if all the E Cs in 2014 ensured massive defeat.
Election commission should be selected from the retired chief justices of India as chief Election commissioner and other Election commissioners from chief justices of states 😂..!?
Why? So that they can make favourable decisions before retiring?
