18 years ago I lost my best friend to a horrible hit and run in Mumbai where again the accused was a 16 year old drunk driver. Today, that driver is living a full life, showing off on social media after barely receiving a slap on the wrist.
and even though it’s been close to two decades we have not gotten over the fact that my best friend is not here.
There is barely any value for life of the non ultra rich in this country and then people wonder why when given a choice, no one would like to live here.

You already know that the rich have a different world and different laws. Pune is a saffron district, builders, leaders, and cops have strong bonds, and money removes friction, making it efficient.
For people wondering its a Porsche taycan. Its an ev that comes with different motors from 407 hp upto 938hp. Idk which specific model this was. But these cars dont even belong on our indian roads let alone an under age driver. Should be tried as an adult for murder, no excuses on this one.

All talk of the accused being a juvenile is hogwash. Underage drunk driving of an unregistered car, without a license, and killing two innocent youngsters in the process makes this an open and shut case. Rewarding such behaviour with frivolous bail conditions within 15 hours is simply obscene.
It's hard to believe that a judge would do that, amazingly disgusting. That judge should go or at very least, be investigated

A similar case has happened in nagpur few months ago. Rich affluent ladies full drunk driving car recklessly rammed two youngsters going on a activa. Both youngsters got spot dead. Rich roaming in the city freely now. In this case those Ladies got bail in few hours and nothing happened. Even Media is not publishing any article on it. Can you look into it

It’s complete failure of parenting and they should be accountable. We need strict laws against parents in cases where minors are committing crimes with such devastating consequences. I feel for two 24 year olds losing their lives to such callousness. It’s devastating to me as a parent. I can never forgive this as a parent.
Yes, in minor cases the parents should be held accountable for such heinous crimes. Now a days parents just handover the mobiles when the kids are just 3 months and think their responsibility is over. They don't correct their kids, nor do they discipline them. Such kind of kids grow up to harass and mess up others lives. Parents should be held responsible.

Hi Faye, can you please also report on the extremely underreported car accident case of Aashraya Sidana in Jaipur? He crashed his car while driving drunk right into a person on a two wheeler. The injured person is in critical condition and the perpetrator's family has paid off the cops.
This has happened in India Pakistan all the time, since ages and will continue. The law is made to protect the rich.
