What if I told you you've been fighting Headless the hard way? Haha
Use Divine Confetti, that'll chunk their health and dispel the black mist around them (with consecutive attacks). The purple juju paper is good for creepy ghosts and ghouls like them. For some reason you don't need the confetti when you're under water.

I have no doubts that I decided to fight em the hard way haha and now that you mention it… I’m pretty sure that you mentioned divine confetti for them and I just forgot.
Regardless thank you for the help and yes I am very happy with the quality boost it’s like a night and day difference.
