Christmas Lights in WHITBY | Night Time Street Gimbal Walk | 4K

We stopped in Whitby for a couple of nights and decided to take a walk around on a cold, wet , winters night to see the Christmas lights.
We had a bit of an issue with the Angel Hotel (Whetherspoons) where our room was cold, so whilst they tried to sort that out, we decided we would be warmer going for a walk.
The idea of the gimbal walk was to film a short walk around the streets of Whitby at night time from the new side to the old side, but as we approached the cobbled town roads, things just got more and more magical with the Christmas lights.

Whitby is a seaside town, port and civil parish in North Yorkshire, England. The town is on the Yorkshire Coast at the mouth of the River Esk. It has a maritime, mineral and tourist economy. The fishing port emerged during the Middle Ages, supporting important herring and whaling fleets, and was where Captain Cook learned seamanship and, coincidentally, where his first vessel to explore the southern ocean, HMS Endeavour was built. Jet and alum were mined locally, and Whitby jet, which was mined by the Romans and Victorians, became fashionable during the 19th century.

You would think that with all the money the council makes from charging tourists to use public toilets and parking they could have put a bit more effort into it or does that money go towards their Christmas party.

To be fair, they've done a better job than our council (Derby), but I know where you're coming from, more could be done. It's still a very pleasant walk around, especially the old side.
