A big time YES for anyone looking for a Mopar on a budget. Nothing wrong with the pentastar six cylinders, but the 5.7 is where the magic begins, and in my opinion the RT’s and Scats have the best sound since they’re naturally aspirated. To me they sound like a “modern day muscle car” in simpler terms, just pure raw exhaust and motor sounds 😎💪

I wouldn't even trust a used V8 Mercedes or BMW to last very long anyways, I'd still take a 5.7L hemi Charger over either one. Besides, most of those cars aren't even full size sedans, which is what the Charger really is competing with. Besides complaining that the 5.7L (or any Charger/Challenger V8) isnt the fastest is completely missing the point of the car. They are true muscle cars designed to be gigantic and heavy, not track cars. They ride excellently and have a presence that most other cars in their category do not have as a result. That's why they are cool. I don't really give a shit about a clapped out BMW.
14' Mustang Gt/Brembo guy here but I grew up with Mopars and always considered the Charger to be the best-looking sedan on the road. Have seen many really cool colors/configs. Nice color here and sounds great!
Your traction control was still active even though it says it was off. There’s a 2nd stage of traction off that requires pressing and holding the button
I've owned the Scat Pack and it was overpowered, if not pointless for 99% of drivers. I now own the GT because it looks almost exactly like the higher trims and has the same features for less money. The R/T is a good compromise between the two and will only cost you $100/month over the GT, if you just have to have the V8. The main downside is that car thieves love the Hemis and most of them can tell the difference. In my area, with incentives, you can get the R/T for less than 42K.
I've owned a Scat Pack for awhile. Anyone that says these cars are slow, you'll get gapped by *insert other car name here*, etc. are straight clowns. 99% of the time, I can't even come close to utilizing all the power this engine puts out on normal city streets. Cool engine. Sounds awesome. Awesome amount of power. Borderline useless at times? Definitely.

You can mod a 57 better than a 392. 392 can’t handle boost as well as the 57. Mods for the 57 would be intake, cam, long tube heads, exhaust, 392 ported manifold. Easy mods to make 420 to the wheel and keep up with 392s

The 5.7 hemi has been making the same horsepower since 2009. Its a damn shame. Hell, the 6.4 hemi got a 15 horsepower bump after 4 years of existence. It's an absolute crime that the 5.7 isn't making 400 horsepower. Especially with the huge price increases.
Love my 2021 charger RT/daytona. If I had a scat or Cat, I'd just lose my license and the car would be impounded. It's hard enough staying decent in the daytona. My RT sounds much better than this one in the video.
I recently imported one from the US to Germany. They dont sell them here. Jaw dropping car here in Germany and my daily trip to work includes 3 long tunnels. Agree that the 5.7 has the better sound🌩
I have a 2014 pursuit with a couple of small mods like a tuner chip. These things are really fast for what they are. they will actually get away from you from a dead stop launch. and dont punch it around a fairly tight corner at 30 mph lol Mine has the cop exhaust (just a delete of the resonators far as I can tell) It sounds really good but is quite in the car till you punch it. 0-50 varies by surface from say 4.9-5.2 The slight mods I did maybe make it a tenth faster? they did make a difference as second gear shifts will light up the tires a bit now. My other car is an Ls converted 74 chevy c10 truck and seems that both cars run about the same but the charger seems a tad faster 80-120 One thing tho the charger has the old Br9 brakes which are the biggest dodge put on chargers This thing STOPS Soooo it was fun from the start and I haven't spent a bunch on it It was a $5500 car at auction LOL
I still want one but I have a feeling it’ll get stolen after a while lol, I’d do everything I can to prevent it of course, 2 days out of the week the car will sit on the street (I live in a townhouse/apartments)
Went to the dealer and test drive both the RT Challenger and Charger. $36K was confirmed. They have a lot of them on the lot! Also talking about 0% finance coming very soon.

I have a 2021 Charger R/T. The car is stock. It has the bigger tires and Brenbo brakes. It will run mid 13s all day on street tires if driven right. My best is 13.48. It's no 392 but these times are very good for a car that weighs 4300 lbs. It will also run over 150mph on top. The brake and tire option gets rid of the 130mph limiter. A V-6 Camry won't touch this car. Plus you don't have to buy the 93 octane gas. My car also gets 27 to 28 miles per gallon on trips. They also have a great sound. The 392 can be too loud.

The hp is measured to the crank to wheel, it has around 300-330 whp depending on the year, dodge measures EVERYTHING to the crank and not wheel. Even the demon 170 is measured to the crank not wheel. They lie about there horsepower ratings been a known thing

yeah.... my police puursuit still has the spotlamps (hey.. they turn night into day) and a white roof.... My daughter followed me in it one time and it is cop evil looking! The other thing I like is the column shifter instead of the center one. I did have to buy a center console as all the cop stuff was stripped out. I like the rubber floor instead of carpet also.I am going to program the Diablo tuner tho to get the scat pac screens.. Not sure how that will work tho with the smaller display.
I mean I always say it’s a personal preference but for the price it isn’t worth it to me, my old 92 vette would beat the stock r/t all day long and it only cost like 9k but my c6 used cost 29k and with just a Diablo 91 tune it runs a 12.485 quarter mile. So for me the price isn’t worth what I’m getting out of it performance wise. But like I said it’s a personal preference and just depends on people’s situations.
I had an R/T and it’s fine for daily driving. It sucks if you’re trying to get real performance. Next time I’m getting a 392. The power is even close. It’s worth the extra 10 thousand..

R/T is not 150 lbs less than ScatPack. The 150 lbs is supercharger, intercooler and pump weight. So RT and SP are 150 lbs less than Supercharged Hellcats and Demons.
$50k? I'd take a BMW M340 all day over this for that money. Faster , nicer, better handling and very boost friendly for higher boost levels and bigger turbos
It goes more into that 70 hp, you get basically a good second quicker than a V6, alot more torque, better sound and they're still pretty good on gas in normal mode. I would say it's worth it over a V6 GT definitely but ay fit what's best for you.

Idk about 400hp but I’ve seen stock 5.7s dyno like 345-355 which is around 390 crank hp. Throw a new intake on and get a tune and ur easily at 400+hp

Paid $32k for my 21, $45K for a year newer is crazy. Really great & fun car with enough power as a daily.

replace the headers and get a 85mm throttle body along with a tune, and try it again = bigger smile on your face.

I'll be taking mine on the Autobahn on a regular basis. We'll see how well it holds up to going over 100MPH for long distances.
