Alexander Dityatin had 8 medals at 1980 Olympic.

@boy boy Japan was the best in team competition from 1960 to 1976. USSR from 1952 to 1956 and from 1980 to 1992. 5 gold medals each to Japan and former USSR. Relating to most medals, USSR was the most medaled men's team from 1952 to 1960, Japan from 1964 to 1976 and USSR from 1980 to 1992. 1972 Japanese team and 1956 and 1988 USSR teams were the best in olympic history. Chinese team from 2008 was very strong too.
