    Yep....light jigs on the reef is super fun. I find it incredible that the "deep" jig works from 25g to 400g. Great design.

    Great video guys! Fantastic idea to get the wives and kids interested in SPJ! Once they get into a good bite especially on the light gear, they will see what a blast it is! I got some of your 25g and 50g jigs, ( as well as 100, 200, 300g for ‘normal’ deeper jigging ),and in the shallower areas the various reef species just go crazy on them! ( W. Central Fla. Gulf ) I’m trying a lot of experimental jigging from bridges and piers using the micro jigs, and the inshore species like flounder, mangrove snapper, trout and snook LOVE them too!

    Great vid thanks! Quick question, can you use a snap link for quickly changing the slow jigs? Will that effect the action negatively? Thanks

    • @jygprofishing
      @jygprofishing  Год назад +1

      You won’t have any negative effects on the action, just make sure your snap can hold up big fish

      @@jygprofishing brilliant thanks will make it easier to change jigs and remove them when travelling between spots.

    You guys ever fish freshwater species with these? Like Stipes or other deep bass or cats?

      I have relatives that live on a big impoundment lake in Alabama, 300’+ depth with lots of Stripers, that I can’t wait to visit and try exactly that! I think it would work great. Try it and good luck!

    Would you recommend the diawa lexa as opposed to a conventional reel for slow pitch micro jigging?

    • @raleighthomas3079
      @raleighthomas3079 2 года назад

      The Daiwa Lexa saltwater baitcaster’s are a GREAT reel for lighter SPJ fishing, especially for beginners with no line leveling issues, very simple. It’s on my ‘next reel’ short list for micro jigging, with 10 or 15 lb braid.

    not a blue runner, but rather some type of amber jack family. maybe a banded rudder fish, but definitely not a blue runner

    Those were not bluerunners, I believe those were banded rodderfish

    Awesome video man I have a question is your wife using a Shimano thorium?

    • @Senor-Misterioso
      @Senor-Misterioso Год назад

      George used that set up in another video. I thought it was a Torium but they said it was a Shimano Ocean Jigger.
