Took me and hubby 2 years , with trying medical treatment and 1 round of ivf (which resulted in this pregnancy) I’m 29 weeks with our daughter from that ivf cycle! Don’t give up hope!
My husband and I tried for a few years too. Unbeknownst to me I had endometriosis and ovarian cysts which affected my hormones/ovulation. I had surgery to remove cysts and endometriosis. We got pregnant 4 months after the surgery. That pregnancy unfortunately ended in a miscarriage. I was devastated but we got pregnant again within 6 months. He is now 3 years old.
My friend’s wife had PCOS. They did IVF and they had a boy in July 2019. Then she got pregnant again and had a girl nov 2020. Now she’s pregnant again with boy/girl twins and due in Jan 2022.
Just wanted to share some success stories. Praying you will tell your success story soon too. You’ll make a great mom!
Love the transformation! You were so right about the windows, Peace and Quiet!! Probably warmer in Winter too. Willy thinks he inspired the room colors! That was a lot of hard work but turned out great !

I definitely think you made the right decision on no rug. However, if your bed is not too heavy, I highly recommend putting little felt furniture pads under the bed to prevent any scratches ending up on the floor. It will save a lot of headaches later on.

We do not have a rug in our bedroom, either. But we have fake lambskin rugs on each side of our bed in winter. This way first thing in the morning our feed do not touch the cold floor 😅 we keep our bedroom quite chilly because we both sleep better that way. In summer we do not have any rugs in the bedroom. I once read it‘s better for sleep because rugs tend to collect dust, even when cleaned regularly.
I have those sheets and my little puppy got her nail caught in the lace of the trim. I've stopped using the sheets not.
You should look at what the fabric content is as those sheets are flannelette/ polyester so they don't let your body breath when sleeping, and my night sweats become really bad. Instead, stick to 100% Linen or Cotton sheets as its made of natural fibres.
I also went to the fabric store and get some cotton trim that isn't a lace/crochet pattern, so an embroidered trim is really nice, especially if you gather it before, and then I sew it to the flat sheet, pillowcases and the side edge of the fitted sheet (depending on if I have enough trim).
I love your style, we both love that vintage, antique look with a touch of farmhouse. I have those curtain pull-backs and I hand made my own curtain ties that have cream velvet ribbon bows on them.
the wrinkle fabric is called 'seersucker' and I sleep with two summer comforters that are both king size, so I like to get two of the same comforter. It makes the bed appear more luxurious with the layers especially if the top one is folded at the end of the bed and a throw blanket put on top of that. I get asked how long it takes me to make my bed from lots of people because it looks so unique with the two comforters, ribbon embroidered pillows and a few throw pillows and blankets, yet it takes me 10 seconds longer now to make my bed as its just one quick step (folding the top comforter). you should try the layering of blankets, we do it with pillows so why not blankets???
I painted a wooden tray a sage green and added a vase of artificial flowers and some old leather bound love poem books and I keep it at the foot of my bed, it looks divine and adds some colour as I have a huge king size bed canopy made from cotton to protect me from the giant mosquitos that find me in summer (and in Australia its currently summer.)
I have two fur babies, at 33 I understand not yet having a family. I feel like my life's purpose is to be a mother and I feel like my time is running out. I also suffer from Fibromyalgia Syndrome and many other chronic health issues. Being creative in my little cottage in the bush has helped and I also make my own clothing as I can only wear natural fabrics (ie. cotton, linen, wool, viscose etc.) because any slight humidity can exacerbate my pain, so I need breathable fabrics for bedding, clothing and I add a linen cover to my sofa as well.
I do appreciate you reading this and hope you switch your bedding to linen (from one night sweats sufferer to another) and make sure you cut any loose threads from the lace edging on your sheets because our furbabies can pull out their nails we aren't there to help them. Ill just say that those lace edge sheets now live on my spare bed that is in a room only used when visitors are over.
Your room looks amazing and you made the right decision with the window rearrangement... sooo much better and more uniform, and the curtains wouldn't have worked if you didn't move the window, love those pendant lights too. some lovely vintage side tables in a rich, warm wooden color would add a bit of warmth and match well to the prints on the shiplap wall. oh ship lap is my favourite, no idea why but you can never go wrong with a white shiplap. it just gives so much depth, texture and dimension to the room.

My son cleans 140 driveways in Cornwall, Ontario and when it snows he has to do one pass before 6 AM and another by 4 PM so , yeah I hear you 18 hours none-stop. Sleep 2 hours and go out again.

What a transformation, the window switch up was drastic and it made sense. I love white sheets as well, they remind me when I was little, fresh white sheets that dried on the clothesline with the slight wrinkle to it. I'm a fan of your pompoms and most everything else. Fun.
I know it's a little late but I saw another RUclipsr who built their wall out just a bit, fed the cord in through a hole behind the light fixture & behind the wall & plugged the lamp in to the outlet below. Made it look hard-wired, but it wasn't. Very cool. Their wall was shiplapped as well. I love the room. 🥰 I think your 2 other wedding photos on either side of the picture arrangement (in those save colored frames) & a rug will finish the room perfectly!!!
We just bought a new king size bed and mattress for the same reason you guys did! chihuahua dog sleeps between us and even though she is only 10 lbs she took up more space than we did!!

Hi you and the mister did a nice job. I think you need a couple of larger pictures above the bed and it would look better with cord protectors on the sconce cords so they blend in with the wall.

The space looks beautiful. Love the smaller windows. I like three’s so I would have probably made a bigger hole on the side of the house! Lol. My husband would probably just chosen one window. Lol. Less is more for him. I really hope God brings good things your way. It took us about 1 1/2 to conceive our first and once I just stopped trying and put it in Gods hands, he took over and made our dreams come true. God bless.

I remember how nice it was to upgrade to a king size mattress. It’s only 16 inches wider than a queen but it makes a huge difference! And yes, more room for the dog 😊

Great job I have the exact same bed skirt and sheers. I have a roller shade on our window too cuz my husband works shift work so I bought Pom Pom trim and glued it to the bottom of the shade too. ❤️❤️
When putting up Sheetrock I wrote things on the insulation bags too. However, mine was more like “help me” and “get out” and red handprints. There are two kinds of people!

We are going to do the same thing, but we will build a false wall because our house is brick, so we will just leave the window as is. I cannot stand that we have a single, off center window behind our bed.... it drives me batty! lol On another wall we have two large windows that let in lots of sunlight. :O) We write on the walls when we do projects too.

My dog sleeps the same way except he is a dachshund so he takes up more than half of the bed. 🤦🏼♀️ I can't wait to get a king bed right now we have a queen.
