Wonderful. I have probably 20 of these on various colors. The ritmo (called the Strada in the USA) is an all time favorite for me. I have 5 of the full size ones and am completing a full restoration on one of them (also a 4 door). Side note, always found it funny that Majorette added the Abarth stripes on a 4 door when all Abarth modes were 2 doors. Oh well, a’ Abarth 4 door would have been fun!
@@fatdad64able Yes they did but the front and rear had unique and strange bumpers. 4 of my 5 are California cars since new and have zero rust BUT i had one from the state of Wisconsin that broke down a lived in a garage from 1986 to 2006. Someone decided to paint it before they sold it in 2006 so it looked wonderful but when I began working on the car a few years later, the horrors were found. The car was rotted almost everywhere at the rear. Parted it out to rescue one that lived in a California desert for 30 years so the perfect plastic and rubber came in handy. I think none of the fiats of this vintage could survive salt and moisture.

Love the restoration on this Fiat, turned out fantastic!! My parents had a late model Ritmo / Strada as it was called here, an despite what a lot of people say about them. It was a excellent car for us, since it was very reliable. Seeing this little Majorette model, bought back many good memories of holidays an day trips away 🙂 🚗
Majorette was one of my favorites growing up, but they've always had such horrible paint! Good suspension and the addition of the tow hitch was awesome. :)
Superb Majorette , Fiat Ritmo restoration , that's a fantastic model and one of my favorite model from the '80s . The restoration is amazing and very well done . The final result is absolutly amazing and I like it very much . Have a great weekend and take care !🎩👌🏻👍🏻🏆🏅

I'm French and remember those Majorettes I had when I was a kid. However none of mine came in such card boxes. There were all sold in blister packs. Very nice resto, once more !
Here in the US. the car was imported in the late 1970s as the Strada if I remember. As always Paul, you knocked another restoration out of the ballpark.
Magnifique restauration!!
Tolle Arbeit. Gruß, Joachim Świetna renowacja zniszczonego Fiata Ritmo. Dzięki Twojej pracy wygląda teraz, jakby znów mógł pojawić się w salonie dealera. Zwłaszcza w wersji Abarth. Dobra robota. when i was a child, Majorette had the best suspensions, could even give the front wheels some negative camber, those were the days. * good job on the fiat strada
Very nice save considering what you had to work with (front end damage) The Ritmo was extremely popular when it first came out and won several "car of the year awards", but the popularity faded very quickly and most model makers never included it in their ranges. I have a few Ritmo diecast models, but all but one are modern collector models. The only one of vintage origin is a red Dinky France #1403, issued in 1981 as one of their very last diecasts, so it was quite nice to see this one from Majorette. While modern collectors diecasts often look good, they don't have that special "toy car" feel and charm of the old ones, like that opening tailgate on yours. I'll list my modern Ritmo diecasts (all in 1/43th scale), for any collectors out there who may have been inspired by your restoration to try hunting down a Ritmo model for their own collections: Grani & Partners/Edison, #803521, Ritmo 60/L, light blue Grani & Partners/DeAgostini, #5125CMC023, Ritmo 60/L, civilian police (IT), dark blue (from police cars partwork collection) Atlas/Altaya/Ixo, #NQC'80-008, Seat Ritmo 75 CL, blue metallic (from spanish partwork collection Nuestros Queridos Coches) Atlas/Altay/Ixo, #NCV'80-081, Fiat Ritmo 75 CL, blue metallic (same model as above, but Fiat badged and from partwork collection Nos Cheres Voitures) Norev, #AZ08, Ritmo Abarth 125 TC, black (from partwork collection "Fiat Collection") My personal favourite from the above is the first one on the list with tan interior, super-crisp badge- and license plate stencils and beautiful light lenses, including multi-coloured taillights.
Sweet childhood recollections. I liked that one. The best among the Fiat range was the 127, I loved the dog molded at the back seat. Nice restoration as usual!!
Some years ago two hicks in Piedmont pulled a robbery and fled aboard a Fiat Ritmo, the Police nailed them a few hours later as it was the car of the Grandfather of one of the robbers and it happened to be the only Ritmo still regularly immatriculated in that particular province!
I actually had this one as a kid, I wasn't sure until I saw the tennis rackets molded in the boot. My old sister had a friend who drove a brand new one at the time and I thought it was cool that I had the miniature version of it. Not that I've ever owned or wanted to own a Fix It Again Tomorrow, the last good cars they made were the 124 and 125 series as copied by Lada.
‘Built by robot, driven by Italians’ was the advertising pitch for the Strada in the UK. Didn’t like them myself; the front end was just…. 🤓 Nice restoration…..better than the real thing! 🤣👍🏻👏🏻👌🏻
You could have tried to copy some shapes from the original bumper. The front part completely flat looks a bit dull, considering it´s 1/55, so not very small...
Always love the Majorette cars, they had 'proper' suspension!Havent seen a FIAT Strada for years, rusted to oblivion unfortunately....Always facied the abarth or cabrio versions😍

They sold this car in the U.S?? I never knew. It was not a bad car, except it started rusting in the brochure already.
