Even from a music consumer perspective it’s actually really enjoyable watching your faves come up over time, watching them build up their sound, their persona and their inspirations. Art was never made to be stagnant, it’s meant to grow and change over time.
A lot of these newer artist are honestly jumping the gun with there music. What happened to the eps and mixtapes everyone is jumping to rush and put out a debut album but not finding or growing there art. Eps and Mixtapes are important and these labels and team and even these artist aren’t doing themselves any favors with just putting out half assed music on a debut when they could of put out an ep or mixtape to experiment and try newer sounds to find what fits them.
