@@88sstraight I would say cold is 0 degrees C and lower. If I’m gonna be standing around for a longer time these outfits wouldn’t cut it. Most people way overdress for winter IMO 🤷
5:10 If you want to explore corduroy pants. I highly suggest Uniqlos wide ones. Great price for a solid pant that can be worn with a lot of stuff. I wish I had gotten more colors than just olive
Thanks for the great examples James! You should really buy some corduroy pants, they're good for winter season. I recommend Dickies corduroy pants, they are well priced, have a cool regular cut and fit with many different looks.
Great picks! Could you do an eBay shopping video where you show how to find the best quality vintage pieces, and maybe browse and explain what you look for? Thanks!
unfortunately my experience with marc o’polo boots hasn’t been the best. got myself a beautiful pair two years ago but they started squeaking unbearably not even a year later.. still contemplating bringing them to a shoemaker, because they are really nice apart from the noise. absolutely love the videos james and merry christmas!
We are wearing nearly identical tops as I watch this. I have a off white button fleece with a half button down like yours lol. But the colored part is beige...how odd.
Oh boy. Just seen the first style and I have some mixed feelings. Mainly because I associate some of the brands (Seidensticker, Marc O'Polo) with my parents :D But he nailed the style. Now to the quality of Marc O'Polo. I have had both good and less good experiences (Their footwear I've never worn). The fabrics and seams make a good impression and even after washing they don't shrink too much and don't lose their shape (as I've often had with Tommy Hilfiger). But especially with coloured garments, I had the impression that the colours had changed quite a lot (But these are all experiences from a few years ago) I like the overcoat theme. I've been wearing more overcoats myself for two or three years now and I like them much more in winter than down jackets, for example. And the shown ones look good. Thanks for this video and see ya next week. I hope you'll enjoy a lovely Christmas.
The 3rd outfit took it too far. Pants are too baggy and the Tie creates too much clutter. Ruined it. Otherwise and as usual, outfits featured on this channel are amazing.
James, being in my 50s, I saw way too much of the baggy sweaters and oversized bombers, etc. in the '80s/ early '90s, but if this is new to the younger generation, then enjoy! I will say though that I am happy to see the return of fuller cut pants. Myself, I'd wear such pants with more fitted jackets and sweaters (reminiscent of workers in the 1930s -- very full cut jeans and work pants with almost tailored looking leather or canvas work jackets, slim through arms. Anyhow, always very good presentation, so a joy to watch.
Excellent. The dude at 4:30 is sporting a modern version of the Ivy Style. This OG is now inspired to wear a similar look, with a vintage U.S. Marine Corps Field Jacket. Happy Holidays!
as a German, the pronunciation of Aylin Koenig was a blessing for my Sunday. thanks hahaha
Ohhh I am super pleased with that haha!! 🫶
Your and Harry videos give me inspiration. Thanks, James❤
Glad to hear it, thank you!
I’m with you on corduroy. I like it on others but it’s not one I love to wear personally. Nice vid man!
Thanks man, hope you had a great Christmas!
Everyone here looks good but unfortunately these are not going to cut it in colder countries (i.e. Canada)
Imo they absolutely do, ive never had a problem wearing outfits with similar warmth in colder climates
@@Bynasf You are one hard dude in that case; what’s your idea of cold weather?

@@Bynasf Right, in that case none of those would cut it in my province for about 5 months of the year.
@@88sstraight sure, but I find that a lot of people tend to overdress and end up being too warm as they barely spend any time outside

Hi James, I enjoyed a brief look at this while slammed at work. Your vintage Patagonia fleece looks great on you! Merry Christmas.
Just an excellent set of layered looks! Best video that I've seen! Haha - you made me dig out my navy corduroys!
Merry Christmas James, thanks for a year of great content. Looking forward to seeing what you have in store for 2025!
Thanks so much! And you mate! 🙏
I love watching your videos! Keep it up James!
I love the Uniqlo Corduroy 7/8 easy pants. They're super comfortable and you can size up to make em longer and wider.
Sounds great!
Cool. Any actual winter outfits?
Those folks are gonna freeze to death 😂
What do they think those buttons are for anyways, eh? Ha, ha!
I agree! Compromising for style. How stupid!
It's the best time for layering!
For sure!
This needs to be a series 👍🏼👍🏼
I often do these! 🙌
Thanks for the great examples James!

@@JamesLeung James, slow down... you don't want to reveal too many of your shopping secrets. 🙂
Awesome vid James!
Thank you!
Can recommend the Levi’s 568 corduroy carpenter trousers (I have them in brown) if you’re thinking about getting some corduroys.
Thank you!
I enjoyed watching this 😊 thanks!

In outfit 2, I think those Ralph corduroy trousers are vintage heavyweight ones which are much better than the modern ones.
Ahh yeah I think you’re right - they’re lovely!
Funny that you never heard of Gotbag. Pretty much every second backpack in Germany is from that brand.
I will have to check them out!
You should check out the Balmacan from SEH Kelly, which is probably my favourite british brand at the minute
Barbour jacket over denim look was unreal I'm def gonna be taking that too lol
Can you please do a Winter Capsule Wardrobe!
Good idea!

Love to hear the feedback thank you! I would be tempted to try the boots if I didn’t already own so many pairs!
Hope you have a great day 🙌
I think a goodyear welted soul is going to be better on boots and for the environment.
Exposed ears, hands and unbuttoned coats? That ain’t cold, and regardless, I’d guess these guys are running from the shoppe straight to their uber ; )
Sizing isn’t an issue at the thrift… u just gotta hit a few🙏
I do most of my vintage shopping online, it can get expensive with shipping/returns!
second fit is wearing Zara coat, not vintage
Thanks for clarifying 👍

Ignorant comment.
Where can one get warm overcoat for 200 or under? have any tips? need it for harsh winter
I think your best bet is somewhere like Uniqlo or Arket. Or go vintage!
Yes I see a lot at thrift stores for cheap, just make sure to check inside coat for any rips or tears.
