Very nice, i learned from this one. I never even thought about looking fir a gravid spot on them at that age. Also taking them out to look at them one by one. That us a great idea! Thank you so much!
+lucky fluffy sure, at 4 weeks they should get colors although not their final and should be around 0.5 inch length.. Nake sureto follow these tips to get a proper growth rate: ruclips.net/video/Fa_Bvm-gsrY/видео.html ruclips.net/video/U6qzUXSQyW0/видео.html
They are 4 weeks. mine are the same as his. they are fed heavily on live and flake. water changes are extremely important for growth, I do 20% water changes daily on my fry tanks and 65% weekly to keep them growing.
I have hundreds of fry I'm holding in a 55 gallon tool box. I've been trying to sort them from above (looking down) based on how they move their tails. Males tend to wiggle their tails more than females do. However, I guess I better wait a few more weeks and do it your way for better results. I've separated out my adult males and females already. Of course I did so way too late and my females continue to produce fry, so my 55 gallon "tank" will never go empty. 😄
My oldest fry are at almost 5 weeks and still tiny just under 1.5cm mostly grey with a darker tail and the smallest hint of yellow on the tip of the tail hard to tell if a gravid spot is forming but all the fins a small and similarly shaped. Guess I must have late bloomers
+handlethief their size is normal. Regarding coloring it can change depending between the strains, anyways, please watch this one as well - ruclips.net/video/Fa_Bvm-gsrY/видео.html
The fry keep hiding in the gravel and get chased by the adult male and female..especially the male chases them...what do I do? I just sprinkle pellets all over the tank so it reaches them. I am aware of ammonia levels rising but no other choice
What if they’re all silver with black tails? 😭😭😭 I didn’t realize they could get pregnant so soon! I saved a clutch from my mini pond on February 14-17 and put them in a tank inside. I thought a couple looked bloated but assumed they were piggies eating too much. 😅 I can’t even fathom them having babies since they’re already so tiny. But they’re all silver and black have black around the base of their tails and so it’s hard to tell on some for the gravid spot
only one of my guppys survived out of 30 of them but it is a little over 4 months and only has a tiny bit of yellow on its tail but the rest is gray but i cant see a gravid spot and i know males are alot prettier than females so is this normal also its pretty small for 4 months
mine are at 4 weeks and they are just barely starting to show colors, let alone gravid spot xD I feel flake/powder made small for fry & frozen baby brine shrimp. I wonder at what age I can expect to sort them by gender at this rate lol
Can I ask you something? My guppy female is pregnant now and when the day (sunlight) her Gravid spot I black and when morning her spot is so light but it changes to black over day again. Why do it happens?
+Para's Square they can change colors. when they are stressed or ill their colors become vague and when they are healthy and happy their colors are more intense.
Uri Shasha But what should I do? Look here ; At night I turn off the light and filter (high sound) and at the morning when I look her spot Is light , but when I have her morning food (flakes) her spot got darker immediately.??
Waaait wait wait, I don't feel like this is entirely accurate :L One of my favorite female guppies has never had a gravid spot, hers is sort of red when pregnant, and no color after a batch of fry until shes pregnant/ready to give birth
Yes, livebearers tend to eat their fry. if you want to raise the fry you should prevent the adults from reaching the fry. Here is how to - ruclips.net/video/NNQORVhI1t4/видео.html
hai uri shasha...remember my guppy named bity, well she gave birth yesterday and as new to this hubby im little bit worried, this morning i check on them and find four little fry dead at the bottom of their tank is it normal then? lastly i feed them with brine shrimp # 1 but haven't seen them eating? what should i do now? thanks and pls help me with your suggestions...God bless!
+Reynand Ondoy if they died only a day after they were born ut is not because they didn't eat. Actually, not eating is a symptom to a different problem. Do you raise them in the tank they were born? If yes, do they have enough places to hide from the adult fish? What sbout the water parameters and temperature? Please watch this video as well - ruclips.net/video/Fa_Bvm-gsrY/видео.html Good luck

Uri Shasha the three fry’s that survived out of the pack all have a graved spot so I have three females to of them are getting a yellow colour and the other one I think is going to be blue unless the dad was a yellow to

Two more ideas 💡 as much as possible partial water changes + getting high quality breeders
Are the guppies still alive
I currently raise their offsprings 😂
I can tell at 20 days , when females develop the black dot .
+Salvo Smith this is great!
Two of my fry’s have there colour but one dosent ?? Someone help me plz
It is normal, especially in random breeding, you need to have some more patience
