Love how the glove box popped open when you got going! Man that sounds nice, and banging gears is fun! The Pontiac reminds me of my brother in laws '71 Duster that we use to cruise around with back in the 1980's. The sound brings back good memories.
I understand that this gorgeous ride is garaged. Having said that I don't need to tell you that Manitoba has it's share of wet weather. That shag carpet is a moisture magnet.
Brings back some great memories as the glove box popped open it reminded me of my own. I had ford three seven threes in back with a floor shifter on the original three speed which had some crazy linkage (you have to see to believe) so went to four speed soon, my column was out of a sixty Bonneville that had the four on floor and lived on in my fifty five. I cut in a fifty six chevy bar grill, and fifty four chevy taillights, 389 pony engine that used to be where the trans came from. My dash box popped open everytime I ran through the gears and finally wired it shut but it would still break loose so its a trait or you have my old one. I did make all my door panels from stuff out of the junk yard. Seat covers from JC Whitney catalog was my go to and then do better out of the wrecking yard myself. I did get one electric window in and stopped there as it was a committed to once started and it was handy in some ways. I really liked that car as it was my beat on car that just took a beating and kept on ticking. It went away while I was in nam. Mine wasn't so old when I started with it... I had two and made a nice one out of two then built the spare as I said. I enjoyed
Sweet ride man! I've been a gear head hot rodder all my life and I've always had a soft spot for Pontiacs. It's soothing to know someone else loves the same old things these days. Take care!

I got lucky and scored one Sunday at a tag sale for $5, clamp included...so it was on my mind :) That's why I love back roads on the weekends, fewer fools doing 80 mph and plenty of tag and estate sales. i know the feeling. I have always hated changeing gears. My opinion was that if god wanted me to change gears we wouldn't have automatics. Then for the heck of it but mainly because of high gas prices, when i semi retired to Jamaica I bought an old 1993 Suzuki Swift GTI five speed in excellent condition. For those who have never been to Jamaica lets just say that EVERYBODY is a NASCAR driver and there are no straight roads. I would find a reason to bang through those five gears every day. The roads are a whole different league of fun. There are off camber S turns, there are steep hills with corners like you would not believe and the roads are just wide enough for two cars to sort of get by. Driving an over powered undersized car is the most fun you will ever have with your clothes on.

@@corypenny2078 There's no problem. I was just trying to hear the whine of the transmission and didn't hear it. Thought it might have been because the engine is pretty loud too. @@pennyshotrodscustoms I also love that '73 chevelle ss...can't wait for more vids on that car...😁
@@bobbydixon257 We may be filming one shortly and if we do it will be up early next week.
A friend knocked a big dent in the ashtray going in third , in a big block ‘66 Mercury Cyclone GT.
Thats the best Ervin.
You sure that's an M-22 transmission? I didn't hear the distictive whine of the transmission in first, second and third gears. I've own 2 cars with M-22's and I love the sound. I have a Super T-10 four speed behind the 454 in my '50 Chevy. All but one of my hot rods were built with four speeds.
Sorry I made the mistake it’s a m21 new I made a mistake when I was making the video lol anyway will keep making them if you keep watching them have a great day 😊
@@corypenny2078 There's no problem. I was just trying to hear the whine of the transmission and didn't hear it. Thought it might have been because the engine is pretty loud too. Forgot to mention in my original comment that I thought your car was pretty cool. I build most of my cars with big blocks in them but the first engine I ever built was a 327 out of a '64 Impala. I put it in a '50 Chevy Sedan Delivery when I was 16 years old.
That 3-4 gear spread seems a little wide for an M22.
sorry its a m21
A cousin to the Two Lane Blacktop 55 Chevy
lol got that right
Amazing video of the drive i love the sound what's it got for an exhaust set up ?????
Let me behind the wheel and I'll make that transmission sing!
The waterfall hood trim is probably worth as much as the rest of the car... that trim is super hard to find without dings. Not saying the car is not cool.
I have 3 other hoods with the waterfall trim that are in great.
@@pennyshotrodscustoms Wow, you are in the MONEY dude. That trim is super hard to find
Lol Thanks John
You could bolt a '55 Chevy front clip on it. All the glass is interchangeable with a '55 Chevy.
i would but i like the looks of the pontiac we do have another 55 pontiac and a complete 55 chevy with brand new 1/4 panels so who knows .
Yeah body by fisher camaro firebird nova ventura just small styling differences in front and rear .
what gears you running in that poncho?
They are 3:55.
A Two Lane Blacktop Pontiac!
wasnt the plan but it was in bare metal and we kicked it out of the shop to paint my brothers mustang so i just did a real quick primer on it then just started to drive it.
