Looks good. I don't need the reel but ordered it either way as is tradition. I was getting the line under the spool behavior on my GH100 even with 10 lb braid. Was also reproducible on my Aldebaran BFS only when using 8lb Gliss monotex line (which I don't use anymore).
I have just started using a Dark Wolf Ultra, i managed to catch a Wrasse going on for 3. lb a real lump of a fish. I have found a way of reducing backlashes and narrow diameter line going between the spool and the reel cage. All i do is pinch the line with my thumb and fourfinger 6 inches in front of the reel, this puts an even tension on the line as it it coming in, as there is not much line involved there is no inconvenience, remembering to do it is the thing, time will tell..
Or intead use small lure that are heavy or try use pe line. Pe 1 to 1.5 have a same diameter as 4lb to 6lb of braided line. Small lure with heavy weight like 4cm jerkbait would really help . But yea I think You're using trout magnet based on the problem. Usually I'll use spinning since it's easier but hey You're method works too
Quality video Andrew 👍 Nice little setup. Have to say though my shimano curado bfs and my kuying teton rod is amazing. However one day maybe 🤔 Tight lines mate 🎣 🎣🎣🎣🎣
Thanks for the info! Yes, Teton's fantastic rod - I own 3 with bunch of spare tips. For this jungle fishing though it's a bit too long for my taste. Cheers
Line going tru inside the spool/ shaft is not because of the magnet. Its because of the GAP clearance the reel n the spool. A lot of reel have learned lesson from the past mistake n even the further step such as adding rims to end of the spool etc.
Watched all 3 videos with the Ace Hawk rod. Very informative showing the rods power and action
Yes, fantastic rod for the money.

For now seems all problems with TSU line going under the spool are gone once I went with quality PE0.8 braid.
Thanks for the informative video, just need to settle on a decision for a new bfs reel.
This one is good.

wish you could include the lure link in the description :) Really liked the colour.
They should be there.
@@AndrewsKnots Awesome!
Thanks again!
On polish fishing group this reel in one of the best BFS grear recomended. ;)
🙃
One of my favourite BFS reels....
For a good reason.
Would you suggest this dark wolf or the XF-50? I am looking to add to my BFS line up. I already have the Zephyr.
Can't comment on the XF50 as don't own it. Dark Wolf must be better as it's a new reel.

As explained, poor/weak drag system->casts not well controlled->more birds nests->more accidents when line goes under the spool.
Cracking video buddy. What action does the rod have 🤔🤔. Well done 😁👍🏽🎣
Medium-fast. Thanks.
@@AndrewsKnots cheers buddy 🎣🎣👍🏽👍🏽
Hola amigo sabe cuál rodamientos usa en la bobina porque quiero cambiar los por rodamientos de cerámica
You will have to measure yourself. I use stock ones.
I another great video 💪👍❤️
Thanks again!
Hi. How about your 6x4/0.5mm magnets mod? Works well?
Yes.
9:14 Did you add magnets to the ultra. If you did where & how many?
Yes.There is a video on the subject.
Could it cast 1/4oz or 1/3 oz stock? I want a bfs setup to use for weighted floats and lighter lures.
I would install extra magnets.
does it comes with left hand reel?
Love the rod. Are you fishing with a Trout Magnet?
It was kind of a magnet - fish loved it.
nice hook
can I cast from 1 to 7 grams with this reel?
2-10 g. is about right.
No offense but if we speak about thin braids we should say 0.03, 0.04, 0.05, 0.06.
0.5 is half millimeter which is a lot for any tipe of fishing line.
0.5pe is around about 0.11mm to 0.12mm thick which is hair thin, i use 80lb braid thats thinner than 0.5mm lol
Cool. Thanks for sharing.
classss
Thanks.
which cane you using here?
As per description.
How ironic that it was made for thinner lines and it can't handle the #0.6
I take stiffer stuff should be fine. Especially if not fishing in the bush with lots of bird's nests..
Русский акцент неподрожаем 😂😂😂
Чувак, акцент у тебя конечно как у гопоты)))
Андрюха Кнотсов ))
I must break you !!!
