Powercreep in HI3rd is crazy lol. Herrscher of the Void used to dominate the meta, now they just chuck her at new players for free. Thankfully Elysian Realm occasionally brings back older battlesuits and gives them buffs through stage blessings.
Yeah only in elysian old characters become sort of meta and some chara become useless because the buff and enemy type
i knoow, i started the game almost on its global release and i really wanted HoV, then i left due to no space on my phone and came back thanks to genshin bc i remembered the company's name😭 at first forgot my account's password so i accidentally started a new one and saw how they were giving HoV and many others i wanted for free and i got mad💀 then i remembered the password and well i still had saved to farm her so i had to buy her

HoV was actually the longest, most dominant valkyrie at her prime as she lasted over a year in the meta. Plus she's old, she was literally the first playable Herrscher so expect her damage to be garbage. Meta does change fast in Honkai but I've played games where meta changes every month/2 months.

If you have Herrschers of Truth (Bronya), Origin (Mei), Finality (Kiana) they have a special combo ultimate 1:26:56 in addition they have a special combo rotation, hard to master but deals a lot of damage.

19:03 Yes and no, Roza and Liliya are two separate characters, but if you have both on the same team then Roza's basic attacks will change to having her and Liliya attacking together, and Roza's ult animation will change to have both of them doing it together. Though Liliya herself remains the same regardless of if she is paired with Roza.

43:20 Unlike in Genshin and HSR where events are canon and happen within the main story, in Honkai Impact all events are non-canon to the main story. They either happen in their own separate set of canon known as Captainverse, or they are completely self isolated events canon to nothing. This collab is Captainverse based on the ending, but as it's a collab and licensing issues mean it'll (probably) never show back up again it can be considered to be an independent event, as it has never been referenced in any other Captainverse event nor will it likely ever be.
48:43 Stygian Nymph is the "fusion" of both versions of Seele, while Starchasm Nyx is when Seele steps back and allows the other Seele to take full control. Also, it's not Good and Evil, the other Seele isn't evil, she's a lot more aggressive and destructive, but she's not actually an evil version of Seele (granted the Starchasm Nyx trailers REALLY don't do a good job of making you think she's not evil, especially Toybox).

All events are canon, they just don't interfere with the main story
The PVs started to get good with 4.2. And yes, Yae is inspired by Vergil, even her skill names and descriptions are referencing him. Maybe one day you will check each character in the selection screen (and their outfits) and have a reaction to that.
Actually, something really worth reacting to is those videos in which the developers are talking about making off for specific characters. I can make a playlist for you if you want. There aren't many, but it's amazing to see the developer's insights.
LE: About the stuff you think you have missed. Events had reruns before, but the Eva collab won't have one due to their contract. I'm not sure about the Genshin collab if they are going to rerun it. The banners have reruns often so you can't get the characters you have missed. A lot of older characters can be unlocked by farming a specific currency. Other characters are called SP characters and they are farmable from the start, some of them are Haxxor Bunny, Griseo, Pardofelis, Eden, Carole, PROMETHEUS, Sushana, and the upcoming Kira. Right now the beginner banner has Palatinus Equnox (Durandal) and Herrscher of Human:Ego (Elysia) which are two amazing battlesuits to obtain. Special events like the anniversary or the Chinese New Year may reward you with free S-rank characters, and sometimes they will give a newly released character for free [that was the case for Spina Astera (Rita) and Herrscher of Origin (Mei)].

The majority of older S-rank suits can be farmed now and don't require banners. A couple of the Herrscher notifications you saw in the trailers weren't reruns, they were giving them away for free. The game is very generous in giving out lots of free stuff
6.6 is about to end, so expect an update next time you log in. Also most S rank characters cannot be pulled immediately. You have to wait for their banners.
HoYoverse nailed the APHO trailers, clearly favorable player reactions got them to keep that style going forward. Every preview trailer in the past year and a half has been hype.
I've seen all of these myself and it's clear they kept experimenting for a while.

The old PV trailers are indeed a little wonky sometimes, but considering how old some of them are, its to be expected no?
The Reburn update was a big one since they redid the beginning of the game to make it more streamlined.
a inportant system u probably don't know about is the Augment Core system that some battlesuits have that allows u to upgrade them into another battlesuit.
For example, Valkyrie acripter(or however u spell it) can be upgraded into Hawk of the Fog.
Fun thing is that u can just grind the tokens for them via expeditions so its a ideal way to get rid of some stamina.
The game does have event and like Genshin, Story events with their own story and gameplay.
About Collabs, its usually a 1 time thing only, since they can't redo events or give out characters based on the IP without the IP owners consent.
The expection to that rule would be the Genshin collab, since they own that IP, hence why u can still get Fishl.
Btw, "dark" Seele is also known as Veliona, she is a fan favorite character so u are not alone in loving her.
She also shares her body with Seele.
So, about outfits(skins), they are distributed in 3 different ways. As a free event award, via Outfit supply(gacha) or buying them with money(most expensive way, 30 euro/dollars per skin)
That said, even the most basic skins these days easy rival Genshin's 5 star skins.
Just to clarify, but at Version Kiana update finished Part 1 of the main story after 6 years, with part 2(wich focuses on Seele so far) being just as long according to the devs.
Of all the trailers u only missed the 5.6 Elyium Reverie trailer(the Pardofelis one), somehow that one always gets left out, i know it well since its the update i began playing the game.

seele isn't using bronyas bike. seele is the original owner of the project bunny. she gave it to the bronya at the azure waters manga, when she got lost in the sea of quantum for the first time (canon)

the one that you’ve seen in the second to last trailer is not bronya, it looks like her but it’s Prometheus, an AI.
6.7 is out in china, we have like a 40 days gap, we’re one update behind. We’re about to enter 6.7 and they 6.8. Btw, 6.8 we get a new herrscher but i won’t spoil you who even though you can guess probably. Her attacks animations are amazing, if you want to play hi3, i suggest you start playing it soon so you have enough to pull for her when she arrives. If you start now, you should be able to make at least 50 pulls when she arrives.
Reburn was when they remade the first couple chapters which is why it may have seemed out of order. The twins are separate characters but if you have both of them in your team they will have new moves, Elfs are unlocked at level 50, patches are every six weeks.
Yeah the Evangelion event had giant mech fights, it was really fun but sadly you cant replay it unless they rerun it at some point. Most events follow the captain who travels through the Sea of Quanta which is between all of the various universes, this is not connected to the main story which I preferred over some of the other games where if you missed events you would miss character or story moments, instead they add alternate versions of characters and it makes collabs pretty easy even if they only used it for Evangelion.
The only limited characters were Asuka who you got to keep if you pulled her and Keqing from Genshin who was only available in that event, you could not play her again after the event ended.
HI3rd is so much more generous, free costumes every patch from playing events, usually a free/grindable battlesuit released every other patch. Most of the old characters and supports are grindable so you dont have to pull them.
Costumes have multiple sources - events, normal currency, gacha, battle pass or premium currency.
5.3 was Post Honkai Odyssey 2, you were missing the trailers for part 1 which was a year or two earlier.

You can see that honkai impact was hoyo's melting pot of ideas as you see the evolution of their trailers got better and better and bring those to their other games.
6.8 is announced in the cn servers, and people are losing their heads for the new battlesuit that is coming up. 6.7 is basically our time to save up for pulling since the last trailer you saw, "Sugary Starburst," or Shigure Kira her real name is a free character.
In Honkai Impact, the 4 star characters are farmable except for their weapons and gear, but the rerun banners on honkai only last for a week or two. So, don't worry about not being able to pull for all the characters you want because the rotation are very fast, unlike their other game that took a year to rerun a certain aristocat who always seek vengeance and a terrorist disguised as a cute elf, lol 😆
Some of the outfits are free through event shops, some of them are paid through B-chips (around 20-30 USD range), some through a shop with occasional rotations for grindable mats or coupons, and some through spending events (pull to get event mats to get new outfit + other goodies), but the 5* outfits are through Pyramid gacha and rerun very rarely. From the release of Herrscher of Sentience's summer outfit in 5.0, it's only just getting a rerun in 6.8.
Fair warning about the event shops, ALWAYS buy the skin first. You won't be able to get everything.

@@LegionzGaming91 Correction. You won't be able to get everything unless you 100% the event. There are a few exceptions where you actually can't get everything even then but I've seen like 2 or 3 of those in 2,5 years of playing. In most events if you complete about 80-90% of achievements and challenges you can clean out everything in the shop with the exception of the gold coins. Which... unless you're in desperate need of those... it's not really a big deal.
SP A-Rank battlesuits are unlockable in the shops. S-Rank battlesuits are gacha-only, although Mihiyo does occasionally give them away for free. I've gotten Fallen Rosemary, Spina Astera, HoR, HoT, and HoO all as event rewards. Whenever it said 'character card' in the event rewards section, that meant the battlesuit was free. As for the costumes, some are available as event rewards. Some can be directly bought using B-chips, which you can only get with money. Finally, there are outfits you can only gacha for, and they're generally the best-looking ones.
Just so you know Legion. There characters that can be earned in the in game shop with endgame currency. For example I'm saving up for Jade Knight (Sususang).
Also all support units like Prometheus (the girl you thought was Bronya with the gauntlets), Shigure Kira (sniper coming in 6.7), Pardofelis, Eden, Carole, Fischl, Haxxor Bunny, Ai Hyperion, and even Susannah (girl with tambourine and tonfas).
They are all free in the story using currency called Asterie (purple gem). You grind this during daily material farming (literally one button press btw). You can farm 20,000 Asterie a week. You need 40 character fragments to unlock an A rank battlesuit. That cost 25,000 Asterie for 40.
The reason why its like this is because it allows the game to constant flow of F2P character which act as supports for the S Rank you gotten summon for. Also because you want more fragments to SSS rank their battlesuit aka constellation/eidolons.
It takes a I think around 300 fragments to max out a Support character. So it's a decent amount of farming but completely free.
I'm pretty sure that in most the story (after ch 12 or so?) you'd always get a trial character of the feature battlesuit in the story.
So you'd get to play all the awesome ones! :D
some outfits are free or obtained in events, some of them are obtainable by gacha and others by money. I, personally, have a ton of outfits and almost every valkyrie battle suit and didn’t spent a lot of money(monthly cards mostly). It’s quite easy to obtain a valkyrie because there is no 50/50 system, you can buy valks in the shop and recently we got for free Raiden(HoT) and Raiden(HoO) in events and during storyline event. Reruns are quite often, we can get some quick reruns like for 3 days. The main pain is an equipment banner i hate it am never lucky💀
there is a lot of content in the game of course, but it is possible to complete in quickly. There is also an event for newcomers for 90 days that boost your account like crazy, you get a special banner where you can get Durandal (PE) and Elysia (HoH:e) (you just need a new account)

And there is still to be touched on the entire plot parallel to the main one, the so-called "captainverse". There are jewels like the whole plot of kongming (starlit astrologos) that is in two parts, being "the day you banish from the stars" a must have watch.
Fyi. Honkai have a story called Captainverse, in Captainverse, Player (Captain) is the mc, and he journey in the sea of quanta to collect some valkyrie. Also, it more sadder lol.

@@nevanV12 yeah funny enough, Ive heard they originally belong to Hyperion captain crew. But captain leave them at Kongming world and forgot about them, and delta take care of them instead. That's what I've heard

1:24:50 A lot of the newest S rank valkyries are not on the regular banner (Dorm Supply), but thankfully re runs are pretty common unlike genshin, usually taking roughly 2 months for a rerun to happen. No need to dread having to wait a whole year for a rerun to happen like with Eula or Hu Tao in genshin

Not sure if someone mentioned it before but a lot of battlesuits (every battlesuits below S-rank and a bunch of S-rank too, including some pretty recent ones) can be farmed for free (though some take far longer than others, can't give everything for free :p ).
And the silverwolf lookalike is one of the farmable battlesuits :)

Also, Yes, Kallen Fantasy is a game inside the Honkai Impact 3rd game.
I got used to saying "No it's not" every time he starts saying "Isn't this -". It's not his fault if he hasn't played the game for years. That said, at one point he confused Fu Hua for Sakura. Sakura always had pink hair. I'm pretty sure 100% of his first guesses in this video were wrong

6.7 is out tomorrow. I can't wait until next week for Chapter 38. Story is so good right now. Seele is basically the main character during the current Salt and Snow arc. There's some very juicy revelations about Seele and Velionia (Dark Seele), the Sea of Quanta, and there's definitely a new Herrscher on the way. Probably the last we will get since Honkai has been defeated/overcome in Part 1.
It just sucks story chapters probably a week after the patch not day one. So it'll be on the 7th.
the first PVs aren't actually that short, they shortened it in the global version to look more like just an ordinary mobile game ad, which is sad since in the chinese version they have awesome music

1 fact - Elysia from Vladivostok ( Russia) Pink Jesus is Russian Elf. Raven its Natasha name ( natasha star rail alter character). CN VA paimon and Rosalia its one man, VA Kiana also voice Hu Tao from Genshin and more actors ( if CN voice, i play with CN voice because game for China)
There is something called the captainverse its seperate from canon and usually happen in events, its are reprieve in the stories tragic and frustrating tales, there is a reason why veterans call this game depression impact, this events is also where hoyoverse start with their memes since its always filled with them and fourth wall break before StarRail.

yes elfs and co op are in the game, its just not at low level. I know elfs showed up at like captain lvl 50 or so, i dont remember when co op unlocks

So the Eva Colab was a one time thing It was basically a dream come true for the dev team considering Honkai is inspired off of Eva even using evas third impact in the name Honkai impact 3rd
But the event was a complete retelling of the eva stroy but with Honkai characters
Kiana was Asuka, Mei was Shinji, and bronya was Rei
Yeah, there still so much cool music which you probably didn't hear (in reactions atleast). Like my favorite "Feather of Aeons" (Fu Hua's theme). Or "The day you and stars disappeared" (Kongming/Theresa and Cecilia), Oaths (APHO 1st Chapter and final boss music). Damn even First ever boss in game stage's music Sava, is short but damn it's awesome (imo of course).
And I don't even talked about musical OST with no vocals. There playlist with 50+ just vocal songs from Honkai and previous game Houkai Gakuen 2. Hoyo-mix is no joking xD

As hyped I am for 6.7 so I can finally put Kira on my Ice team. I need to see the CN 6.8 stuff immediately when it drops because its the end of the arc and I need to know what's going to Seele.
SPOILER ALERT : Seele's new Herrscher of Rebirth battlesuit is actually incredible. I have been saving since 6.6 for her. She has insane unique animations, her two forms are so cool, and she fits perfectly on my physical team. I think she's the only character that's Support and DPS.

And the by far the evangelion collab story is the best event story hi3 got. Imo it even tops captainverse starlit astrologos story.
And the cliffhanger at the end of the event was teasing asuka joining the captainverse crew if there's ever a rerun. They need a rerun a priarm and augment for asuka so she can be relevant again. And probably a playable katsuragi or Mari.

Some that should be noted, Rita fallen rosemary who can become a lightning support or straight up main DPS depending on her stigmatas. And Valkyrie quicksand I thing is the only one who can do an instant 5 stack bleeding debuff to your enemy which is great.

oh yea and most outfits are free, they mostly come from events and spending events (works with free currency). There is always at least one free skin and a paid skin tho, BUT (and this is the hugest but) comparing them to the genshin skins, the genshin skins are on the quality of 3* skins in honkai, meanwhile the free skins (4*) are really good, and all paid skins have really really cool effects. attacks, ult are always different, they sometimes even have new voice lines with them and just generally look much much better than what they do in genshin (hope hsr gets skins like these)
I like how Legion kept thinking its Void Archive. Void Archive is always a cube all the way until Otto died. And it didn't happened after the part concluded. VA have very little screen time. So just assume they are all Otto and VA only ever appears on APHO
Random sidenote, Herrscher of Sentience is basically a Herrscher born from Fu Hua's memories when Otto revived her. So while she looks like Fu Hua and has her memories they are different characters.
Yatta...errr I mean Senti (actually nickname in game and community) is a fan fav due to a few reasons.
1. Appearance (Look at her)
2. Gameplay: she's a Physical Support that's plays like a top tier DPS. She's a must run on all physical teams (but she will be replaced in 6.8)
3. YATTA (So basically its an inside meme to say Yatta whenever talking about Senti because she yells it when you play as her. She does it alongside her small victory poses after doing combo attacks.)
4. Her personality is actually top tier. She's goes from unhinged and destructive, to arrogant and dramatic, to immature and adorable. Now she's a total hype beast for herself and she can surprisingly thought and insightful (probably Old Timer's...I mean Fu Hua's influence). But don't get it twisted she is still super self centered and no goodie too shoes. She looks ves for herself.
TLDR she's hilariously and unintentionally comedic by just being her.

Ok 6.7 releases in like 6 hours lol. I think 5.6 was skipped. And you know how there were those videos with Veliona (red seele) and Aponia (on the graveyard). A lot of characters from Haxxor bunny (Silver Wolf like Bronya) have them. Maybe watch them as well. I can also search them out for you tomorow.
So skinns. We alsways get atleast one free one per patch. There are gatcha outfits, but it is basically just 9.6k crystals and if you are lucky you get it early and you also get rewards like 5 pulls and a free s-rank character back. There are also some that cost b-chips (bassically straight up money) and I think they are exspensive. Then you also have some other ways of optainign skinns, but takes to long to explain. They release like 2-5 skinns per patch.
Also there was never showed when there is a rerun for characters most of the time it was just that you get the character free or it was a skinn. I think every character is rerun about once every 3-4 patches atleast.
Every a-rank is free. YOu can just buy them for some currency that is not to hard to get. The old S-ranks are also all free. They also get moved to the standert banner when they are older. I think Herscher of Thunder (HoT) is in there as well. They also give away free s-ranks pretty often. We should get Free Herrscher of Sentience (HoS) soon. We also sometimes get the new s-rank for free. Like Herrscher of Origin (HoO) or Sushang. The only character that you cant even get through gatcha is Asuka as she was exclusiv (also keqing, but she was only playable in the event so we cant get her anyways)
That one cg 1:28:10 is indeed not in the game. Nothing in this entire video is in the game.

The most different between HI3 and Genshin (HSR too) is endgame content, when 2 other lack of endgame content, you only truly playing HI3 when you get into all endgame content
Some of those characters r not entirely new characters. U can upgrade some old characters to become a new version of them with a new outfit and a new playstyle. Thats why it feels like their previous battlesuit is better than that new one. Because its not new. Its just an upgrade to an old battlesuit to make people use those old battlesuits too. 😁❤

So a little background with some of the battlesuits. Spoilers are imminent so be warned.
They can't bring back Asuka again because of the copyright for the Evangelion IP. It was a one time ordeal because of the release of the movie. MiHoyo really shelled out for it because they are massive fans of Evangelion. as Da Wei said, "fanboying using company funds." Asuka is still within the game files as some users have her, but she is hidden from the character trials.
There are also some battlesuits that don't appear in the main story as they are part of the side content for the game which is called The Captainverse by the fandom. Unlike the main story where it involves around Kiana, Mei and Bronya, The Captainverse addresses the Hyperion Captain (which is the player) as a character. This also leads to very unhinged story writing which is close to HSR.

Seele in HI3rd has another soul/person inside her. Seele bears the stigmata of the Previous Era's Herrscher of Death. So that's why the first two battlesuits has a white-violet version and a red-black version. At certain times, they take turns in controlling the body mostly Veliona (the fanbase's name for her other personality) during fights and Seele when interacting with other people. Starchasm Nyx is where Seele gives Veliona full reign with her body and powers and she lets loose.
Li Sushang was first introduced in the manga and the visual novel '7 Swords'. In the visual novel is where she meets Otto and when she was still a student of Fu Hua. The '7 Swords' visual novel parallels the the team up of Luocha and Sushang in HSR, as in the VN is Otto carrying aroung a coffin (within is Kallen Kaslana's remains) as she looks for Master JInwen / Fu Hua and is looking to revive Kallen.
Ai Hyperion Λ (yes it's part of her name and it's lambda [lamda] ) is based on Ai-chan the Hyperion's AI system albeit more mature looking. The green haired girl that often pops up during tutorial or reminding you about your weeklies.
Susannah is the name with the tambourine, she was featured in the manga and partly an npc on some quests in the story and has became a playable Valkyrie. Her battlesuit is based on her previous branch system which was in Schicksal Eurasia that's why the middle-eastern persian vibes.
Dreamweaver // Hare and Terminal Aide 0017 // Prometheus are part of World Serpent and you meet them somewhere in the story and have become playable battlesuits.
Sugary Starburst // Shigure Kira was first introduced in the manga. She was part of Cecilia (Kiana's Mother) Valkyrie squad. She wanted to be an idol but she instead got into the Valkyrie program instead.
Add to Shigure Kira. she also first featured in the game as a Stigmata.
