Yeah that period from the very beginning until Shattered Samsara was pretty much just L after L. Shattered Samsara was pretty much the only completely positive chapter ending in that entire time. Even positive chapters like Bronya and Seele reuiniting had some underlying bad omens attached to them if I remember correctly. It has been some years so I might not remember completely accurately.
Seeing himeko in hsr for the first time made me cry bc in honkai impact she once said "one of my childhood dreams was being able to travel around the galaxy and through universes, I wonder if in another lifetime I was able to"😞😞😞
Another detail is that Himeko's had a drinking problem in HI3, it was due to her having poor compatibility with Honkai energy so she's constantly in pain and drinking help her numb it. In HSR because there's no Honkai she drinks coffee instead😊
fun fact: Himeko has died in every game she's showed up in before Star Rail. In GGZ, the game before Honkai Impact 3, she was killed by Mei, in HI3, she's killed by Kiana. That means it's Bronya's turn to kill her in either Genshin or Star Rail
considering the cryo archon is likely bronia, and the pyro archon is literally called "murata" and they said in the tevat trailer that the pyro archon will share the secrete of what is going on with the traveler which will likely include how to stop the cryo archon, its very likely the pyro archon will be killed by the cryo archon.

Hoyoverse actually does something most games wouldn't think off: "Killing off one of the several main characters for the sake of character development."
I think it's more to do with having a meaningful death. A lot of games kills off characters but the number of them that actually give the characters death meaning, properly develop the character and have them make the moral decision of sacrificing themselves for their loved ones future is rare. Many games kill off characters. Not many build said character into anything other than a convenient plot device.
@@teddyblack7457 Himiko is the classic mentor in a classic hero's journey. The mentor that guide the protagonist while being stronger than them have only two path : they sacrifice themselves for the MC against a stronger opponent than themselves that the main character will have to defeat later on, and used as two time progression device, or they are send away from the MC in battles not yet the MC level so that they can 'level-up' without the mentor interviening and breaking progression and tension.
Fu hua is Sushang's master in impact 3rd. It would be funny if Fu hua is Sushang's mom in Star rail since Sushang talks about how her mother taught her the sword
Fu Hua can't be her mother(different looks). Her mother from Honkai 3rd looks a lot like Sushang, but MILF. Her mother was strong on Honkai 3rd(when she was alive). If they follow variants as how lore goes. Her mother should be Qin Suyi, and her father should be Li Shen

Not so fun fact: Everlasting Flames where Himeko smiled and disappeared is the whole description of the sword in Star Rail: "Smiled in the fire" and she smiled in the fire in that cutscene, great and yet sad detail
So about that trailer with the astral express, that trailer released before the official announcement of Star Rail, and it was basically the concept trailer (as the title of the video says) of what later became Honkai: Star rail. The tanned girl on that trailer is a character called Carole Pepper (she is playable), and the other girl that appeared was most likely the first iteration of what became of March 7th.
about Luocha, it should be noted that in his extra dialogues he says that's not his real name, it's just what he is called in xianzhou because his real name is hard to pronounce. (the devs make several jokes about Otto Apocalypse being hard to pronounce for the chinese)
otto and luocha have the same voice, luocha's design looks like how he looked when he met fu hua with the long hair, also luocha means a type of demon in chinese
@@JordanJumpinEven in Jap dub if you hear when Sushang speak the name of Luocha she said Raksha or Raksasa, and the Sushang in HI3 calls him the same (it means demon, giant, huge and strong, or could be refering to asuras or could be used to refer to those who are known for disturbing sacrifices, desecrating graves etc. )
Worth noting that in the past, Otto traveled with Li Sushang, and she called him 羅刹 Raksha, which is the Japanese and Traditional Chinese spelling of the characters 罗刹 Luocha in Simplified Chinese. So it was an alias that Otto used while traveling with Sushang. This lines up MUCH too perfectly to not be Otto's counterpart, if the evidence wasn't overwhelming enough.
@58:54 when you used Himeko in Star Rail and talked to the sword The last line " She was reborn in the flames, she smiled ..." That line of dialogue was to reference this moment The legacy and will of Himeko guiding Kiana back and been the sacrifical pillar of support for Kiana when Kiana fell to despair and was about to destroy everything by her own hands and its also her guilt of causing Himeko's death You see that throughout the animation and story, it was nth but guilt and constant self torture that she deserved it but finally learning to forgice herself and become someone more, someone who can pave the future and bring a change to the world that seemed like its the end of the world, her coming to terms with her passing and thats a symbol of Himeko basically saying Kiana has done well, there is no reason for her to stay around anymore, she matured and grown, she can handle herself now and leaves.
In one of the comics, when Otto met Sushang for the first time he was travelling around with a coffin that contained Kallen... and he looked basically like Luocha does, and Sushang was basically looking like the one in Star Rail, so there's many references to Luocha being some form of Otto.
@@LegionzGaming91 Loucha is an alternative version of Otto. Just like Bronya, Cocolia, Seele, etc are. That's why he shares so many similarities with Otto. My current theory is that the Star Rail version of Kallen is in the coffin and he's searching for a way to revive her. Just like Otto did. That would explain why he's walking the abdundance path, he's probably hoping that Yaoshi is able to bring her back.

@@Rhodynit Welt IS from the HI3rd universe and decided to find a world where he could help Himeko accomplish her dream of exploring. It's why he went to HSR universe. The train is probably the Beacon from Key of Infinity or the Cosmic Juggernaut. Bronie is a universe hopper while Bronya is of the current HSR universe. It's assumed Bronie is the one we know from the captainverse as that is technically its own multiverse of clusterfuck as well. (each story/event being usually a different universe with the captain being the single entity shared.)
Didn't see it mentioned, but the song playing during Cyberangel Zero Exception is actually sung by Bronya's CN voice actor HANSER, who also does the voice of Silver Wolf! She's an incredible singer.
Fun fact: the mecha in the Reburn animation can actually be seen in Welt's phone case in HSR. Years into the future of HI3, he worked on a game called Arahato, and Arahato is the name of that mech and is why he says he used to be an animator in his dialogue on the train

They put it inside a rocket and send it to the moon where they duke it out with whatever is sealed there.. Oh yeah, besides Depression Impact, another name for the game is Retcon Impact as the main story and its accompanying manga were retconned a few times. #they-did-siegfried-dirty
I cried at Final Lesson but what I really liked the most here is Thus Spoke Apocalypse. Otto is the villain most of the time in Hi3 but this animated short really showed that everything he had done was worth it for his goal. He may be the villain but he won in his story.
Before that arc, I really disliked Otto for the things he did During that arc, I realised I didn't blame him from becoming a villian, he suffered and lost a lot of himself during that time in kolosten, especially with how corrupted Schicksal was before the war happened. During the cutscenes, I found myself to really root for him, after what he did all this time, I want to see the result of his determination, and I want him to succeed after all that he did. After that arc ended, man I felt empty... And instead I had nothing but respect for the man. Like it sucks that you couldn't see a character that intrigued you ever again
@@cipher01 You can understand a villain but that doesn't mean you will end up agreeing with their decisions. I can understand why Otto did that but it doesn't excuse what he did. Just because you have been wronged, doesn't mean you get the right to wrong other people that have no relationship to the people who wronged you.
also otto is the main villain for a while. he is basically the reason for 90% of the suffering that main cast go through. but he is also the reason for their growth indirectly
Also worth to mention, Otto was the byproduct of the world's cruelty at a person, that drives a villian to be born. No one was there to guide him, or be there when he suffered all of the tragedies alone back in kolosten. The only light that gave meaning to his life was brutally wronged by the world she defended. So then, a villian was born, and the world was sundered by the villian!
I dont really play hi3rd.. but i do know that there's someone like otto that goes with welt on that train that is connected to star rail.. My question, where is that thing at? And is Luocha an Otto variant of some sort?
@@GReyn To put it simply, Luocha (or at least, the "Otto" that was with Welt pre-Star Rail) is "Void Archives", a sort of entity that spent a long time with Otto and at some point developped a similar personality as him (Void Archives is, to put it simply, a weapon, and was the yellow thing that changes form during Otto's sacrifice cutscene in the video) After Otto sacrified himself to save Kallen, Void Archives took one of his body clones However, Luocha can also be only a "alternate timeline" version of Otto, similar to Bronya and Seele who are very different in Star Rail for example
In Hi3, Bronya inherited Welt Yang powers so she is kind of op for Raiden Mei in Star Rail, leaks shown that she would be electro of the Hunter Path And Seele actually became the main character of the story right now
7:50 fun fact, before kiana's herrscher of flamescion battle suit release, players always considering her battlesuit underperfomed. To the point she got a nickname, tuna. Because of how her eyes for some players looks like a dead fish. And, mihoyo / hoyoverse makes it even worse ( or perhaps better ) by releasing an event exclusive weapon for Raiden Mei, a sword called one salty tuna which looks exactly like a dried tuna. BTW, i recommend one theme song from Honkai, although it was actually from its previous game the gun girl z but Mihoyo use it again for one of Honkai event. Try, Hoshi to Kimi ta kieta hi or the day you and the stars disappeared.
Final lesson is what destroyed us, I legit use to cry Everytime I saw this, I don't cry anymore after 20 different sightings and reactions, but I always still tear up and get full body chills, bro I bawled my eyes outs, full blown sobbing and swaying back and forth when I first played it, god I keep having to remember it's a fxckin mobile game, when I saw himeko in HSR.. omg dude, nah.. it's so hard knowing it's an alternate timeline, that himeko is alive, but our himeko is gone, dxmn.. 😭

Graduation Trip hits so hard if you've gone through the whole story and have context for everything. It makes you sad because Kiana's story is ending, and her story has been going for so long and has been so amazing....but all great things must come to an end I suppose. I sincerely hope you go back and experience the story of Honkai Impact 3rd. I'm not big on the game stuff myself, I'm not a fan of gacha style games. But the story is genuinely one of the best stories I've ever seen. In anything. It's....incredible. It's very long, but it's so worth it. Trust me when I say all these animations hit so much harder once you have context.
Thank you for giving Honkai impact another shot after these. It’s my personal favourite out of Genshin, Star Rail and itself because of its story. The first part of the game is ROUGH. That said it picks up chapter 8 and it gets better and better from there. For context about the flamechasers. Elysia’s group. Eden: brown haired woman that was holding Elysia’s hand Mobius: Green Haired lady Kalpas: man with the mask Aponia: the sexy nun Vill-V: the girl with the steampunk outfit Griseo: the Blue haired girl (Shares similarities with Clara including Voice actors) Kosma: guy seen with demon horns and is playing the harmonica in the credit sequence Su: he looks a bit plain but in the credits he’s the doctor (he controls a power called Sumeru that connects him a tad to Genshin) Hua: simply just Fu Hua, Fu Hua is a main character so you’ll see plenty of her And finally Kevin Kaslana: Our baseball bat wielding White haired man
I had to check it again. The song playing from 1:30:41 is indeed what is Kafka playing at the start of Star Rail. And probably to empathise it more, the song at the end is called "Da Capo", which is also Kafka's 1st Eidolon. Guess it is a good day for a rain.
Hey, some info that may be interesting (speculation and maybe some spoilers from the halfway down point of this wall of text): • Luocha (luó chá) is the name in mandarin (I think) for the demon "Raksha", and Raksha is one of the many names by which Otto became known in Honkai Impact 3rd during his 500 year lifespan. Also, remember that "Luocha" does not seems to be his real name in Star Rail either, it is just a pseudonym/nickname he gave to Sushang and by which he is known in the Xianzhou. Also, exact same VA and mannerisms, he got the manipulative bastard vibes. • The symbol for the Imaginary element in Star Rail seems to be a tree, possibly a callback to the Imaginary Tree. By the same token, the Quantum element is symbolized by what seems like Seele's Stigma from HI3 (appropriate since she is the playable character with the greater connection to the Sea of Quanta from which this element seems to draw power from) • In Star Rail, Welt's splash art is the one with the most callbacks to HI3, heavily implying he is in fact the same Welt. You can see dr. Tesla in one of the memory fragments floating around and Otto (or Otto's clone/The Void Archives) in the background. • Carole (the girl that embarked with Welt on what most likely is the Astral Express) is missing in Star Rail. If it is indeed the same Welt and train, what happened to her is one of the open mysteries to be explored in the game. • Though we probably will not see Kiana and Mei variants so soon, Fu Hua may have been stealth teased in the little lore video about the Xianzhou. One of the Arbiter Generals that command the other ships is called "Huayián". Though the "Hua" that they share in their names is very flimsy evidence, what really made me speculate was the lotus symbol (Fu Hua's Divine Key, Fenghuang Down, manifested itself as either a lotus or feathers) and the fire theme in this general's introduction (which could be a callback to the power over flames she exhibited as the Phoenix, as well Garuda's power from her All-out Honkai Reaction). • Each branch of the imaginary tree is a timeline in a multiverse. Closer branches are similar worlds with minor discrepancies, etc. Otto did all that only so he could create a very minor branch, with the only difference from his own timeline being that Kallen survives. The imaginary tree is an existence beyond comprehension, and the "tree of light" is just how the human mind makes sense of it. Even if what he did may seem very quaint, creating this branch is above and beyond the most god-like feat in the game. • People seem to "repeat" not only over multiple dimensions (Raiden Mei, the Valkyrie from HI3 vs Raiden Mei, the late shogun from Genshin, sister to Raiden Ei), but also over time. Himeko existed and fought Honkai and died tragically, as part of a lost civilization 50.000 years in the past of HI3 timeline. Carole existed and also died in that same lost civilization and now seems to be born again, same name, similar family, same personality, but essentially a different person with her own story, experiences and no recollection of this supposed past life. Himeko, Bronya and Seele appearing as alternate versions of themselves in Star Rail does not necessarily mean this is a different universe/branch of the imaginary tree. It may really be a direct sequel, but so much time has passed that people seem to be repeating again. • The baseball bat is the Kaslana unofficial heirloom. It started as an inside joke because this was Kiana's tutorial weapon in her first game, then became kind of a meme with almost every Kaslana being seen using a baseball bat of some sort to face otherwordly beings at some point in their lives, and finally became lore, being used in a very poignant moment of the few last chapters. Stelle/Caelus starting the game with a baseball bat may be just a cute reference, but may also be a real connection to Kiana.
I like to think of the bat as passing the torch of being the main character. If there is an actual Kaslana connection that'd be fine but ... the MC's are lacking the usual Kaslana appearance so... Welt and Luocha ARE Welt and Void Archives from HI3rd. There is no implied here, the devs have been explicit about it.
@@RoninBlackwing About the baseball bat, I am leaning more towards it being a cute callback. While it being an actual connection is possible, I don't really think it is likely. I am pretty convinced Welt is the same character from HI3, with his splash art, Light Cone text and the Reburn 2 trailer all pointing at that. But I'll still call it implied (although heavily so) until it is absolutely confirmed, because Mihoyo is always up for shenanigans and I have trust issues. Luocha being the Void Archives on the other hand is kind of a stretch, specially after APHO2. I will not write it off completely (because the previously mentioned Mihoyo shenanigans), but I think it is more likely he is a separate instance of Otto, like Star Rail's Himeko, Bronya and Seele.
for people reappearing over time, herrsher of finality return the Hl3’s main bubble into certain time, so that our civilization just restarts over and over. which has been changed by hi3’s current timeline thxs to Kiana, Mei, Broya and etc with hints from flamechasers in civilization 50000years ago

1:02:44 THAT is Carole Peppers a Valkyrie introduced in APHO (one of the open world areas). And the train is the 2nd divine key, the Key to Infinity, a train the can travel through universes. *I* assume the Astral Express is an aspect of it from another universe. -The first cutscene in game occurs in chapter 7 (Will of the Herrscher). 1:24:26 Ironically, while they are 'new' characters, they are all from the distant past. Oh! and Mobius is the crazy scientist. The crazy pyromaniac with the mask is Kalpas.
Unfortunately, killing Himeko is a hobby of hoyoverse, in a previous game, called Gun Girl Z or Honkai Gakuen they killed her, restarted the world making everyone revive and then killed her again, also a threat in Honkai Impact 3rd has Star Rail's Himeko in his sights, they are known as the Sky People, which is why Welt traveled to the world of HSR to protect her.
1:14:10 the girl Otto was carrying was sushang Sushang at honkai impact calls otto Rasetsu or Raksha, and when playing HSR in Japanese, sushang will call Loucha with the same nickname.

Trailers titled Reburn, so Reburn I and II, are both non-canonical promotional material. In the case of the first one it was just to show case their animation capabilities as it came out before anything else. And in the later it was the teaser trailers for what was originally trademarked as “Honkai Impact 4th: Galaxy” (This only being discover by looking up Hoyoverse’s trademarks) which later during the First Honkai Concert would be given an official title and a reveal trailer showing it’s final name, “Honkai Star Rail”
Honkai is very worth getting into. Depending on how early people played it, it had basically a reboot about a year and a half into its lifespan, and all the chapters were redone and retconned into the amazing storyline it has now. All the original OG missions and stuff are now sidestory modes. I would put Honkai's story telling into the same realm of Yoko Taro's Nier stories.

The ancestral sword of House Kaslana, it’s two users being Kevin Kaslana (the founder of the house) and Siegfried Kaslana (Kiana’s Father) The lance is the 6th God Key, Black Abyss White Flower, the weapon of the strongest Valkyrie (What the characters in game are called) noteable uses are Cecilia Schariac (Kiana’s Mother) and Bianka “Durandal” Ataegina (Kiana’s “Twin”) The twin swords are the same as which Fu Hua and Sushang (Fu Hua’s student) create and use The Cross is the 11th God Key, the Oath of Judah, it’s notable users are Kallen Kaslana (Kiana’s ancestor) and Theresa Apocalypse (Kiana’s Aunt) And the chains which you see are the Zeroth Power of the Oath of Judah, being the divine key made from the Core of the Previous Era’s Herrscher of Binding, it creates a space which halts all powers.

Not sure if you know this yet, but Fu Hua is already mentioned in HSR. On one of the assignments, you will see a quote from "Hua, Marshal of the Cloud Knights". If you've watched one of the HSR videos about Xianzhou, it is mentioned that the Generals follow the Marshal or something. So we will probably see her sometime in the Xianzhou arc. Just something to share: I love Fu Hua and I'm saving all my jades for her release. Got about 24k saved now just for her alone. 😂

Most of the story or at least the chapters with Kiana, MiHoyo didn't lose a thought to say "let's remind the player about Himeko" till the very end. And then they throw the "your journey is just beginning" said by both Himekos in both Honkai SR/I3rd just little reminder. Goddamn you miHoyo if you kill her again
The word "Honkai" in Japanese is called "Hokai" and translate to in Chinese they call it 崩坏(Beng Huai) which means to "Destruction/Decay/collapse of all things". (Dont rely on Google translate, they will just say Collapse. But theres more than one meaning to that word.).
The Train in Reburn II is Known as 2nd Divine Key. The train was found in one of the Mangas as well. Carole Peppers is from ALPO where Welt is in part 1. As well Otto carries a weapon called Void Archives which is also a divine key of the previous era.
Since you were there at the beginning it would be cool if you watch all the version trailers so you can see how the game evolved over time. There should be a playlist that other RUclipsrs also watched however your insight on the matter might make for a great reaction :D
Thanks for this! This was nice to have playing while working! Also like all but 3 or so of these videos were NOT trailers. These are literally cut scenes that happen at the end of major story archs. So you have been spoiled up to chapter 35 lol. But the journey there is still incredible!
Just gonna point this out. Mihoyo or hoyoverse has already killed 3 himekos trough out their carreer. First one to my understanding was in Gun Girls Z which is basically the bad ending of HI3. Second one was in one of HI3s mangas. Like a thousand years or more before the events of the main story. Himeko became the herrscher of fire and Kevin killed her. And the 3rd Himeko died in Final Lesson. Sooooo we might wanna brace ourselfs in case they decide to kill off HSRs Himeko. Fun fact. The battlesuit Himeko wears in final Lesson is based on the herrscher of fire. Aka Himeko
Technically the battlesuit in Final Lesson used the Gem of Haste, which belonged to Sirin. Herrscher of Fire's core was used to make Judgement of Shamash aka Kevin's sword

yes. I'm an old captain who play from day 1 too. And it's true there is no pity at that time. in fact, I think honkai impact 3rd are actually the very first one who introduce "pity system" and followed by every other gacha game. I remember there is a lot of change in how the pity system work due to a lot of feedback by the player.

fun fact... himeko was almost dying thanks to the honkai corruption in her body the serum she injected in kiana was meant for her... if she used it she would lost her ability to "control and resist" the honkai energy and retire from being a valkyrie so in the end himeko in her best years as a valkyrie could defeat benares (the big dragon) AND sirin (the herrscher of the void that was manipulatin kiana) at the same time then ended up with a few scratches and could be deployed to the next mission

watching this video had two consequences for me : 1 : My playlist got like ten more songs for me to listen because seriously Hoyoverse is so full of good music 2 : It got me super motivated and hyped for HSR, I already love this game but seeing this just make me think that I wont be disapointed by it. I'm so glad to finally see reactions videos of honkai impact with someone that REACT because everyone (idk why) watch but don't really react or don't say a word. It's good to finally see someone being interested by the game and the story. By the way, there are a lot more of animations that are really cool but i think if you watched theses it's would have been too long (exemples: APHO 2 trailer, the fight between Durandal & Kevin, the introduction of the game with Kiana - and i'm not talking about the trailer one but the real animation - etc...)

What is this thing called in Honkai? The Astral Express looking thing you see there is the Astral Express. This is early announcement of the Stair Rail Project, before any betas or anything. The girl is Carole, who is from an offshoot timeline in Hi3 (oh don’t get me started on the complex multiverse of HI3) and the train is what is known in Honkai Impact as the Second Divine Key. It has another name as well, but it slips my mind.
Been playing since 2018 and I can relate to how awful it kinda was in the beginning. But boy has it changed so much and has gotten sooooooo much better. Hi3 is what showed me that story telling can be so beautiful in a game. And to clear up a but part-1 of the main story has end which basically Kiana's whole story. Originally it was supposed to end at that but devs have decided to run the game for at least another 6 years which is just fcking awesome cause everyone playing didn't want it to end. So now that Kiana's story has concluded so far they are going focuson othet characters and just other aspects of the game. So I'm speculating that they'll work on more world building of the hi3 universe and connect to maybe the other games in some way not sure actually or create a new story. Either way I'm for the ride on the long run all their games. I have never been this motivated to see how they will write out the hoyoverse itself.

Okay just so you both know. Kiana is taking a break. She has to contain the power of Finality while confining herself on the moon. She is looking to stay there for 8-10 years, but the entire time she has open communication with her friends back on earth. She talks to Bronya and Mei like everyday. Kiana will make a return, but Mihoyo wants to hand the spotlight off onto new characters.

Firstly, absolutely loved watching someone’s reaction who has played star rail first. Also it looked like there were no Honkai veterans in your chat which is actually a good thing, not much got spoilt. These animated shorts are not trailers. They are the conclusions of big story arcs in the game and they are all in game cutscenes. Don’t worry about hi3rd ending , only the part one of the story has ended, da Wei (hoyo ceo) confirmed they atleast have another 6 years of content. Part 1.5 story has already started and the game is soon going to get a massive revamp where the game engine will be upgraded and a lot of the ui will also be updated. I am an AR 60 traveller in genshin, and a level 88 captain in Honkai impact. Believe me when I tell you absolutely nothing comes close to how freakin good the Honkai story is. Star rail has started out very very well and looks to be living up to the Honkai name till now. I absolutely recommend playing Honkai impact 3rd, not only will it make your experience of star rail better because of a billion Easter eggs but also on its own Honkai impact 3rd story is really beautiful. I agree with your point of this game having a disastrous launch but now a lot of systems have been made new player friendly. I've been playing this game only a year and i have never cried as much in a game as in Honkai impact(AKA Depression Impact) while also watching alot of content creators react to these trailers who got bored of Genshin and decided to give Honkai a go. Since u are Fammiliar with Star Rail, lemme point out a few things. 1. Welt literally IS from the HI3 universe, he stepped through a portal with Void Archives(the cube Otto was holding) after the events of A Post Honkai Oddesy(a semi open world game mode) into the Star Rail universe. 2. Laocha seems to be Void Archives, when u encounter him on the Laofu he tells u that Laocha is just a name he uses there,NOT his real name wich he does not reveal. 3. The Train in the Reburn 2 trialer is called Cosmic Juggernaut, a Divine Key it can open passages between dimensions. Read the London Holiday manga for more on it(link is on their main site) 4. Most of these videos are ingame cutscenes at the end of a inportant chapter, the exeptions are the Bronya Trailer and the Reburn trailer. U can also find almost every animated short in both japanese and chinese. 5. This game also has connections to Genshin, there is a picture of Otto looking at Dvalin from Honkai somewhere in the story and there are plenty of theories going around that one of the Flamechasers might have actually created Teyvat. 6. Silver Wolf from Star Rail is based of off Haxxor bunny from HI3,a Bronya alternate universe battlesuit, hell, it might even be the same character since she IS a dimentional traveler. Of all the gacha games i played Honkai Impact 3rd is actually the most friendly to new players, it gives u SO much free battlesuits its insane! I got 41 of the currently 48 battlesuits and is spent less then 100 euros on it becouse half of them(if not more) they just give u for free! If u want to get catched up on the game, who not watch all the version trailers? couse the music in them is epic as well. There are also 2 music concerts i can recommend, Starfall Sonarant and Dreamy eupheny(my favorite). Go watch them if u have time, they are all on youttube.
Another thing to add, himeko's serum that he injected into kiana, was the key to actually save himeko's life and gave her what she always dream of. The reason why is because himeko is dying even before the battle, because the stigmata in her body (the things that gives Valkyries their powers) were slowly killing her due to it being artificial unlike others. Technically, if himeko injects herself with the serum, it would've purge the honkai corruption within her body, and restores her health so she could live a normal life Her dream was to find someone she loves, getting married and settle down from all the fighting, but with the fact that death is looming around the corner for her, she often disregard her health, being a complete alcoholic, and gave up on what she wanted. And guess what? With the way out for her being soo close at the palm of her hand, she decides not to take it for herself. She would rather give it to the student that she loved dearly, and saving her life just so she could have a second chance at life, to make things her way. Thats the tragedy and sacrifice of murata himeko 😭
fun fact: Reburn 2 was our first look at HSR (basically a teaser trailer) also Reburn 1 and 2 are considered non-canon mainly because they're either rebuilds of events (reburn 1) or not confirmed to be canon (Reburn 2 mainly because of the HSR tie in but also because we dont know if it has ties to APHO (A Post-Honkai Odyssey basically a open world mode that takes place after the Honkai is eradicated)) I could honestly go on and on for hours about the lore and everything but its better if you play it for yourself
I have both the Himeko Godsbane suit, Raiden’s Herrsher of Thunder suit…also i whaled like crazy when Raiden Ei was released in Genshin…so yeah seeing Himeko again in Star Rail hit me in the feels again…and luckily didnt have to whale i got Himeko as my first 5 star from the starter banner…it felt like she came home for me 😭

I have not played the game (well only the beginning), only saw the animations and youtube comments summarizing the story. And i still think otto has to be one of the coolest villains ever. Would love to see the whole story myself one day. Sadly didn't get hooked by the game itself tbh. But that's alright, with Genshin and HSR i'm already having enough to do so i guess i'll just cherish the cool animations for HI3

A few things. Seele is actually more of Honkai Gouken 2 version than in HI3. There are some more videos that you can look up that are teasers to the story chapters (one is depressing). Finally there are mangas that explain HI3 story more in depth and show Welt's story in Second Eruption and Alien Space.

Yeah that period from the very beginning until Shattered Samsara was pretty much just L after L. Shattered Samsara was pretty much the only completely positive chapter ending in that entire time. Even positive chapters like Bronya and Seele reuiniting had some underlying bad omens attached to them if I remember correctly. It has been some years so I might not remember completely accurately.

Another detail is that Himeko's had a drinking problem in HI3, it was due to her having poor compatibility with Honkai energy so she's constantly in pain and drinking help her numb it. In HSR because there's no Honkai she drinks coffee instead😊

considering the cryo archon is likely bronia, and the pyro archon is literally called "murata" and they said in the tevat trailer that the pyro archon will share the secrete of what is going on with the traveler which will likely include how to stop the cryo archon, its very likely the pyro archon will be killed by the cryo archon.

I think it's more to do with having a meaningful death. A lot of games kills off characters but the number of them that actually give the characters death meaning, properly develop the character and have them make the moral decision of sacrificing themselves for their loved ones future is rare. Many games kill off characters. Not many build said character into anything other than a convenient plot device.

The mentor that guide the protagonist while being stronger than them have only two path : they sacrifice themselves for the MC against a stronger opponent than themselves that the main character will have to defeat later on, and used as two time progression device, or they are send away from the MC in battles not yet the MC level so that they can 'level-up' without the mentor interviening and breaking progression and tension.

So about that trailer with the astral express, that trailer released before the official announcement of Star Rail, and it was basically the concept trailer (as the title of the video says) of what later became Honkai: Star rail. The tanned girl on that trailer is a character called Carole Pepper (she is playable), and the other girl that appeared was most likely the first iteration of what became of March 7th.
The other girl is Stelle, the female version of HSR mc with Reburn 2 animation supposedly set after the events of HSR. which is Hoyo spoiler wink.

@@JordanJumpinEven in Jap dub if you hear when Sushang speak the name of Luocha she said Raksha or Raksasa, and the Sushang in HI3 calls him the same (it means demon, giant, huge and strong, or could be refering to asuras or could be used to refer to those who are known for disturbing sacrifices, desecrating graves etc. )
Worth noting that in the past, Otto traveled with Li Sushang, and she called him 羅刹 Raksha, which is the Japanese and Traditional Chinese spelling of the characters 罗刹 Luocha in Simplified Chinese. The legacy and will of Himeko guiding Kiana back and been the sacrifical pillar of support for Kiana when Kiana fell to despair and was about to destroy everything by her own hands and its also her guilt of causing Himeko's death
You see that throughout the animation and story, it was nth but guilt and constant self torture that she deserved it but finally learning to forgice herself and become someone more, someone who can pave the future and bring a change to the world that seemed like its the end of the world, her coming to terms with her passing and thats a symbol of Himeko basically saying Kiana has done well, there is no reason for her to stay around anymore, she matured and grown, she can handle herself now and leaves.
In one of the comics, when Otto met Sushang for the first time he was travelling around with a coffin that contained Kallen... and he looked basically like Luocha does, and Sushang was basically looking like the one in Star Rail, so there's many references to Luocha being some form of Otto.

The train is probably the Beacon from Key of Infinity or the Cosmic Juggernaut. Bronie is a universe hopper while Bronya is of the current HSR universe. It's assumed Bronie is the one we know from the captainverse as that is technically its own multiverse of clusterfuck as well. (each story/event being usually a different universe with the captain being the single entity shared.)

I cried at Final Lesson but what I really liked the most here is Thus Spoke Apocalypse. Otto is the villain most of the time in Hi3 but this animated short really showed that everything he had done was worth it for his goal. He may be the villain but he won in his story.
Before that arc, I really disliked Otto for the things he did
During that arc, I realised I didn't blame him from becoming a villian, he suffered and lost a lot of himself during that time in kolosten, especially with how corrupted Schicksal was before the war happened.
During the cutscenes, I found myself to really root for him, after what he did all this time, I want to see the result of his determination, and I want him to succeed after all that he did.
After that arc ended, man I felt empty... And instead I had nothing but respect for the man. Like it sucks that you couldn't see a character that intrigued you ever again

Also worth to mention, Otto was the byproduct of the world's cruelty at a person, that drives a villian to be born.
No one was there to guide him, or be there when he suffered all of the tragedies alone back in kolosten. The only light that gave meaning to his life was brutally wronged by the world she defended.
So then, a villian was born, and the world was sundered by the villian!

@@GReyn To put it simply, Luocha (or at least, the "Otto" that was with Welt pre-Star Rail) is "Void Archives", a sort of entity that spent a long time with Otto and at some point developped a similar personality as him (Void Archives is, to put it simply, a weapon, and was the yellow thing that changes form during Otto's sacrifice cutscene in the video)
After Otto sacrified himself to save Kallen, Void Archives took one of his body clones
However, Luocha can also be only a "alternate timeline" version of Otto, similar to Bronya and Seele who are very different in Star Rail for example
In Hi3, Bronya inherited Welt Yang powers so she is kind of op
for Raiden Mei in Star Rail, leaks shown that she would be electro of the Hunter Path

7 whole years playing honkai i feel like raising a daughter and seeing her grow up then go to explore the world
7:50 fun fact, before kiana's herrscher of flamescion battle suit release, players always considering her battlesuit underperfomed. To the point she got a nickname, tuna. Because of how her eyes for some players looks like a dead fish. And, mihoyo / hoyoverse makes it even worse ( or perhaps better ) by releasing an event exclusive weapon for Raiden Mei, a sword called one salty tuna which looks exactly like a dried tuna.
BTW, i recommend one theme song from Honkai, although it was actually from its previous game the gun girl z but Mihoyo use it again for one of Honkai event. Try, Hoshi to Kimi ta kieta hi or the day you and the stars disappeared.

Graduation Trip hits so hard if you've gone through the whole story and have context for everything. It makes you sad because Kiana's story is ending, and her story has been going for so long and has been so amazing....but all great things must come to an end I suppose. I sincerely hope you go back and experience the story of Honkai Impact 3rd. I'm not big on the game stuff myself, I'm not a fan of gacha style games. But the story is genuinely one of the best stories I've ever seen. In anything. It's....incredible. It's very long, but it's so worth it. Trust me when I say all these animations hit so much harder once you have context.

The first part of the game is ROUGH. That said it picks up chapter 8 and it gets better and better from there.

Su: he looks a bit plain but in the credits he’s the doctor (he controls a power called Sumeru that connects him a tad to Genshin)
Hua: simply just Fu Hua, Fu Hua is a main character so you’ll see plenty of her
And finally Kevin Kaslana: Our baseball bat wielding White haired man

I had to check it again. The song playing from 1:30:41 is indeed what is Kafka playing at the start of Star Rail. And probably to empathise it more, the song at the end is called "Da Capo", which is also Kafka's 1st Eidolon.

Hey, some info that may be interesting (speculation and maybe some spoilers from the halfway down point of this wall of text):
• Luocha (luó chá) is the name in mandarin (I think) for the demon "Raksha", and Raksha is one of the many names by which Otto became known in Honkai Impact 3rd during his 500 year lifespan. Also, remember that "Luocha" does not seems to be his real name in Star Rail either, it is just a pseudonym/nickname he gave to Sushang and by which he is known in the Xianzhou. Also, exact same VA and mannerisms, he got the manipulative bastard vibes.
• The symbol for the Imaginary element in Star Rail seems to be a tree, possibly a callback to the Imaginary Tree. By the same token, the Quantum element is symbolized by what seems like Seele's Stigma from HI3 (appropriate since she is the playable character with the greater connection to the Sea of Quanta from which this element seems to draw power from)
• In Star Rail, Welt's splash art is the one with the most callbacks to HI3, heavily implying he is in fact the same Welt. You can see dr. Tesla in one of the memory fragments floating around and Otto (or Otto's clone/The Void Archives) in the background.
• Carole (the girl that embarked with Welt on what most likely is the Astral Express) is missing in Star Rail. If it is indeed the same Welt and train, what happened to her is one of the open mysteries to be explored in the game.
• Though we probably will not see Kiana and Mei variants so soon, Fu Hua may have been stealth teased in the little lore video about the Xianzhou. One of the Arbiter Generals that command the other ships is called "Huayián". Though the "Hua" that they share in their names is very flimsy evidence, what really made me speculate was the lotus symbol (Fu Hua's Divine Key, Fenghuang Down, manifested itself as either a lotus or feathers) and the fire theme in this general's introduction (which could be a callback to the power over flames she exhibited as the Phoenix, as well Garuda's power from her All-out Honkai Reaction).
• Each branch of the imaginary tree is a timeline in a multiverse. Closer branches are similar worlds with minor discrepancies, etc. Otto did all that only so he could create a very minor branch, with the only difference from his own timeline being that Kallen survives. The imaginary tree is an existence beyond comprehension, and the "tree of light" is just how the human mind makes sense of it. Even if what he did may seem very quaint, creating this branch is above and beyond the most god-like feat in the game.
• People seem to "repeat" not only over multiple dimensions (Raiden Mei, the Valkyrie from HI3 vs Raiden Mei, the late shogun from Genshin, sister to Raiden Ei), but also over time. Himeko existed and fought Honkai and died tragically, as part of a lost civilization 50.000 years in the past of HI3 timeline. Carole existed and also died in that same lost civilization and now seems to be born again, same name, similar family, same personality, but essentially a different person with her own story, experiences and no recollection of this supposed past life.
Himeko, Bronya and Seele appearing as alternate versions of themselves in Star Rail does not necessarily mean this is a different universe/branch of the imaginary tree. It may really be a direct sequel, but so much time has passed that people seem to be repeating again.
• The baseball bat is the Kaslana unofficial heirloom. It started as an inside joke because this was Kiana's tutorial weapon in her first game, then became kind of a meme with almost every Kaslana being seen using a baseball bat of some sort to face otherwordly beings at some point in their lives, and finally became lore, being used in a very poignant moment of the few last chapters. Stelle/Caelus starting the game with a baseball bat may be just a cute reference, but may also be a real connection to Kiana.
I like to think of the bat as passing the torch of being the main character. If there is an actual Kaslana connection that'd be fine but ... the MC's are lacking the usual Kaslana appearance so...
Welt and Luocha ARE Welt and Void Archives from HI3rd. There is no implied here, the devs have been explicit about it.

I am pretty convinced Welt is the same character from HI3, with his splash art, Light Cone text and the Reburn 2 trailer all pointing at that. But I'll still call it implied (although heavily so) until it is absolutely confirmed, because Mihoyo is always up for shenanigans and I have trust issues.
Luocha being the Void Archives on the other hand is kind of a stretch, specially after APHO2. I will not write it off completely (because the previously mentioned Mihoyo shenanigans), but I think it is more likely he is a separate instance of Otto, like Star Rail's Himeko, Bronya and Seele.
for people reappearing over time, herrsher of finality return the Hl3’s main bubble into certain time, so that our civilization just restarts over and over. which has been changed by hi3’s current timeline thxs to Kiana, Mei, Broya and etc with hints from flamechasers in civilization 50000years ago

And the train is the 2nd divine key, the Key to Infinity, a train the can travel through universes. *I* assume the Astral Express is an aspect of it from another universe. -The first cutscene in game occurs in chapter 7 (Will of the Herrscher). 1:24:26 Ironically, while they are 'new' characters, they are all from the distant past. Oh! and Mobius is the crazy scientist. The crazy pyromaniac with the mask is Kalpas.
Unfortunately, killing Himeko is a hobby of hoyoverse, in a previous game, called Gun Girl Z or Honkai Gakuen they killed her, restarted the world making everyone revive and then killed her again, also a threat in Honkai Impact 3rd has Star Rail's Himeko in his sights, they are known as the Sky People, which is why Welt traveled to the world of HSR to protect her.

Trailers titled Reburn, so Reburn I and II, are both non-canonical promotional material.
In the case of the first one it was just to show case their animation capabilities as it came out before anything else. And in the later it was the teaser trailers for what was originally trademarked as “Honkai Impact 4th: Galaxy” (This only being discover by looking up Hoyoverse’s trademarks) which later during the First Honkai Concert would be given an official title and a reveal trailer showing it’s final name, “Honkai Star Rail”
Honkai is very worth getting into. Depending on how early people played it, it had basically a reboot about a year and a half into its lifespan, and all the chapters were redone and retconned into the amazing storyline it has now. All the original OG missions and stuff are now sidestory modes. I would put Honkai's story telling into the same realm of Yoko Taro's Nier stories.

The lance is the 6th God Key, Black Abyss White Flower, the weapon of the strongest Valkyrie (What the characters in game are called) noteable uses are Cecilia Schariac (Kiana’s Mother) and Bianka “Durandal” Ataegina (Kiana’s “Twin”)
The twin swords are the same as which Fu Hua and Sushang (Fu Hua’s student) create and use
The Cross is the 11th God Key, the Oath of Judah, it’s notable users are Kallen Kaslana (Kiana’s ancestor) and Theresa Apocalypse (Kiana’s Aunt)
And the chains which you see are the Zeroth Power of the Oath of Judah, being the divine key made from the Core of the Previous Era’s Herrscher of Binding, it creates a space which halts all powers.

Not sure if you know this yet, but Fu Hua is already mentioned in HSR. On one of the assignments, you will see a quote from "Hua, Marshal of the Cloud Knights". If you've watched one of the HSR videos about Xianzhou, it is mentioned that the Generals follow the Marshal or something. So we will probably see her sometime in the Xianzhou arc.

The word "Honkai" in Japanese is called "Hokai" and translate to in Chinese they call it 崩坏(Beng Huai) which means to "Destruction/Decay/collapse of all things". (Dont rely on Google translate, they will just say Collapse. But theres more than one meaning to that word.).
The Train in Reburn II is Known as 2nd Divine Key. The train was found in one of the Mangas as well. Carole Peppers is from ALPO where Welt is in part 1. As well Otto carries a weapon called Void Archives which is also a divine key of the previous era.

Thanks for this! This was nice to have playing while working! Also like all but 3 or so of these videos were NOT trailers. These are literally cut scenes that happen at the end of major story archs. So you have been spoiled up to chapter 35 lol. But the journey there is still incredible!
Just gonna point this out. Mihoyo or hoyoverse has already killed 3 himekos trough out their carreer. First one to my understanding was in Gun Girls Z which is basically the bad ending of HI3. Second one was in one of HI3s mangas. Like a thousand years or more before the events of the main story. Himeko became the herrscher of fire and Kevin killed her. And the 3rd Himeko died in Final Lesson. Sooooo we might wanna brace ourselfs in case they decide to kill off HSRs Himeko.
Fun fact. The battlesuit Himeko wears in final Lesson is based on the herrscher of fire. Aka Himeko
Technically the battlesuit in Final Lesson used the Gem of Haste, which belonged to Sirin. Herrscher of Fire's core was used to make Judgement of Shamash aka Kevin's sword

yes. I'm an old captain who play from day 1 too. And it's true there is no pity at that time. in fact, I think honkai impact 3rd are actually the very first one who introduce "pity system" and followed by every other gacha game. I remember there is a lot of change in how the pity system work due to a lot of feedback by the player.
Fun fact, welt in HI3 is the very same welt who’s in HSR and that bronya is the successor to his name(Welt) & organisation

fun fact... himeko was almost dying thanks to the honkai corruption in her body the serum she injected in kiana was meant for her... if she used it she would lost her ability to "control and resist" the honkai energy and retire from being a valkyrie
so in the end himeko in her best years as a valkyrie could defeat benares (the big dragon) AND sirin (the herrscher of the void that was manipulatin kiana) at the same time then ended up with a few scratches and could be deployed to the next mission

2 : It got me super motivated and hyped for HSR, I already love this game but seeing this just make me think that I wont be disapointed by it. Cant wait for 1.1, Belobog and Cocolia already made me love it.

Carole is one of the characters in APHO (A Post-Honkai Odyssey). The game can be found within Honkai Impact 3rd game. Honkai Impact 3rd APHO takes place in the same timeline as the main Honkai Impact 3rd game's storyline, 8 years after the main story after Honkai vanished from the Earth. There is also the continuation of APHO, which is APHO 2 (A Post-Honkai Odyssey Chapter 2) which is an Open World map that continues the story of the previous Post-Honkai Odyssey. And APHO 2 also still within the universe of Honkai Impact 3rd.
And yes, that man with her is Welt Yang.
P.S : A Post-Honkai Odyssey 后崩坏书 / APHO, is an Open World map game that can be accessed after clearing the first round of Sakura Samsara in Honkai Impact 3rd.

I'm so glad to finally see reactions videos of honkai impact with someone that REACT because everyone (idk why) watch but don't really react or don't say a word. It's good to finally see someone being interested by the game and the story.
By the way, there are a lot more of animations that are really cool but i think if you watched theses it's would have been too long (exemples: APHO 2 trailer, the fight between Durandal & Kevin, the introduction of the game with Kiana - and i'm not talking about the trailer one but the real animation - etc...)

'Herrscher Cores are the connecting items that allow beings to interface with Herrscher Authorities' said from google which basically means that they give herrscher (god-like) powers/forms. (I've not been in honkai impact 3rd for a good 10 months so someone could probably explain it better/elaborate my comment better :) )
Fun fact, Kallen was in love with another woman aswell. She is Yae Sakura, someone she met in Japan if i recall correctly. So yea, Otto did everything for a woman he loven even tho she would never love him in that same way.
What is this thing called in Honkai? The Astral Express looking thing you see there is the Astral Express. This is early announcement of the Stair Rail Project, before any betas or anything. The girl is Carole, who is from an offshoot timeline in Hi3 (oh don’t get me started on the complex multiverse of HI3) and the train is what is known in Honkai Impact as the Second Divine Key. It has another name as well, but it slips my mind.
Been playing since 2018 and I can relate to how awful it kinda was in the beginning. But boy has it changed so much and has gotten sooooooo much better. Hi3 is what showed me that story telling can be so beautiful in a game. And to clear up a but part-1 of the main story has end which basically Kiana's whole story. Originally it was supposed to end at that but devs have decided to run the game for at least another 6 years which is just fcking awesome cause everyone playing didn't want it to end. So now that Kiana's story has concluded so far they are going focuson othet characters and just other aspects of the game. So I'm speculating that they'll work on more world building of the hi3 universe and connect to maybe the other games in some way not sure actually or create a new story. Either way I'm for the ride on the long run all their games. I have never been this motivated to see how they will write out the hoyoverse itself.
Thanks for getting me into HI3! Have only just picked up HSR. Hoyoverse lore and music seems incredible and really looking forward to getting to catch some livestreams. Love your enthusiasm and super appreciate this being uploaded as a single video!

Kiana will make a return, but Mihoyo wants to hand the spotlight off onto new characters.
I did this myself last night. Had no context for anything but when it got to Himekos video, i was sobbing. Especially since Himeko is one of my favorites in Star Rail. Its crazy to see how different the characters in Impact vs Star Rail
Honkai is such a experience, it's so meaningful there is no words to express what you feel after the journey.

Firstly, absolutely loved watching someone’s reaction who has played star rail first. Also it looked like there were no Honkai veterans in your chat which is actually a good thing, not much got spoilt. These animated shorts are not trailers. They are the conclusions of big story arcs in the game and they are all in game cutscenes. Don’t worry about hi3rd ending , only the part one of the story has ended, da Wei (hoyo ceo) confirmed they atleast have another 6 years of content. Part 1.5 story has already started and the game is soon going to get a massive revamp where the game engine will be upgraded and a lot of the ui will also be updated. I am an AR 60 traveller in genshin, and a level 88 captain in Honkai impact. Believe me when I tell you absolutely nothing comes close to how freakin good the Honkai story is. Star rail has started out very very well and looks to be living up to the Honkai name till now. I absolutely recommend playing Honkai impact 3rd, not only will it make your experience of star rail better because of a billion Easter eggs but also on its own Honkai impact 3rd story is really beautiful. I agree with your point of this game having a disastrous launch but now a lot of systems have been made new player friendly. Rest assured if you do stream the game make sure to upload the vods on RUclips. I am subbing in hopes of watching your play through
I actually played HI3 first lol I played it on release day but dropped it after a month or so because my god that launch version was awful

I've been playing this game only a year and i have never cried as much in a game as in Honkai impact(AKA Depression Impact) while also watching alot of content creators react to these trailers who got bored of Genshin and decided to give Honkai a go.
Since u are Fammiliar with Star Rail, lemme point out a few things.
1. Welt literally IS from the HI3 universe, he stepped through a portal with Void Archives(the cube Otto was holding) after the events of A Post Honkai Oddesy(a semi open world game mode) into the Star Rail universe.
2. Laocha seems to be Void Archives, when u encounter him on the Laofu he tells u that Laocha is just a name he uses there,NOT his real name wich he does not reveal.
3. The Train in the Reburn 2 trialer is called Cosmic Juggernaut, a Divine Key it can open passages between dimensions.
Read the London Holiday manga for more on it(link is on their main site)
4. Most of these videos are ingame cutscenes at the end of a inportant chapter, the exeptions are the Bronya Trailer and the Reburn trailer.
U can also find almost every animated short in both japanese and chinese.
5. This game also has connections to Genshin, there is a picture of Otto looking at Dvalin from Honkai somewhere in the story and there are plenty of theories going around that one of the Flamechasers might have actually created Teyvat.
6. Silver Wolf from Star Rail is based of off Haxxor bunny from HI3,a Bronya alternate universe battlesuit, hell, it might even be the same character since she IS a dimentional traveler.
Of all the gacha games i played Honkai Impact 3rd is actually the most friendly to new players, it gives u SO much free battlesuits its insane!
I got 41 of the currently 48 battlesuits and is spent less then 100 euros on it becouse half of them(if not more) they just give u for free!
If u want to get catched up on the game, who not watch all the version trailers? couse the music in them is epic as well.
There are also 2 music concerts i can recommend, Starfall Sonarant and Dreamy eupheny(my favorite). Go watch them if u have time, they are all on youttube.
Another thing to add, himeko's serum that he injected into kiana, was the key to actually save himeko's life and gave her what she always dream of.
The reason why is because himeko is dying even before the battle, because the stigmata in her body (the things that gives Valkyries their powers) were slowly killing her due to it being artificial unlike others. Technically, if himeko injects herself with the serum, it would've purge the honkai corruption within her body, and restores her health so she could live a normal life
Her dream was to find someone she loves, getting married and settle down from all the fighting, but with the fact that death is looming around the corner for her, she often disregard her health, being a complete alcoholic, and gave up on what she wanted.
And guess what? With the way out for her being soo close at the palm of her hand, she decides not to take it for herself. She would rather give it to the student that she loved dearly, and saving her life just so she could have a second chance at life, to make things her way. Thats the tragedy and sacrifice of murata himeko 😭

fun fact: Reburn 2 was our first look at HSR (basically a teaser trailer) also Reburn 1 and 2 are considered non-canon mainly because they're either rebuilds of events (reburn 1) or not confirmed to be canon (Reburn 2 mainly because of the HSR tie in but also because we dont know if it has ties to APHO (A Post-Honkai Odyssey basically a open world mode that takes place after the Honkai is eradicated))

I have both the Himeko Godsbane suit, Raiden’s Herrsher of Thunder suit…also i whaled like crazy when Raiden Ei was released in Genshin…so yeah seeing Himeko again in Star Rail hit me in the feels again…and luckily didnt have to whale i got Himeko as my first 5 star from the starter banner…it felt like she came home for me 😭

I have not played the game (well only the beginning), only saw the animations and youtube comments summarizing the story. And i still think otto has to be one of the coolest villains ever. Would love to see the whole story myself one day. Sadly didn't get hooked by the game itself tbh. But that's alright, with Genshin and HSR i'm already having enough to do so i guess i'll just cherish the cool animations for HI3

A few things. Seele is actually more of Honkai Gouken 2 version than in HI3. There are some more videos that you can look up that are teasers to the story chapters (one is depressing). Finally there are mangas that explain HI3 story more in depth and show Welt's story in Second Eruption and Alien Space.
