In my opinion, Kiana is one of the best protagonists in gaming. No other protagonist has ever moved me as much as she does, and her evolution is incredible.
so Kevin Kaslana was a previous era survivor and became the founding father of the house kaslana of the current era, Kallen, is a descendant of the house kaslana 500 years ago, Kiana (real kiana), is the daughter of Siegfried kaslana and Cecilia Schariac and became missing after an accident while they try to save the K423 Kiana from otto, Kiana(K423) is a clone made by Otto via splicing of Kiana's and Sirin's genes. the real kiana was revealed to be Durandal in later chapters

Otto is neither good nor evil... He's morally gray... He wasn't a psychopath or sociopath who couldn't understand human emotions or couldn't feel them... It's true that he's basically one of primary antagonists in the story and everything in the story happened because of him but he also did a lot of good... He advanced human technology and quality of life... Guided a lot of people... He raised Durandal purposely with kindness so she could become as strong as she had potential to be... He developed cure for the Plague( he experimented on dying patients who were affected by the plague( people condemn him for that and it's true it's a bad thing but if he didn't do that, who knows how many years would it take to develop a cure and how many lifes would the plague take in the meantime))

For some comments you made: - Cocolia is generally portrayed as the misguided mother in the Honkai games, loving, caring, but making mistakes. Not usually an outright villain. I think its shown really well in the Azure Waters one, she was just trying to save the kids from Honkai. - The chapter 11 EX scene is where she first starts trying to control the power. Its suggested that Fu Hua (who has power over memories and dreams) may have given her that vision, to help her remember what Himeko taught her. - Kiana may not have been a valkyrie yet when she stopped Mei, but she trained with her father, who was a Schicksal Knight. - Kiana didn't join after Himeko saved her because she fell from the sky into the ocean, she washed up on the shore and started drifting in depression and fear of herself. - Fun Fact, Raven's name (the assassin) is "Natasha Cioara", Honkai Impacts version of Nat. - Otto lived so long because of the secrets he learned from Void Archives. He was also experimenting on himself, essentially. - The person hold Seigfried was Cecilia, his wife and Kiana's mother. Kiana was cloned from the real Kiana, who went missing in the mission to rescue her. (their airship was hit and the original Kiana went flying out of it) Cecilia and Sirin died embracing when hit by the missles, and Sirin had actually calmed down. Cecilia wanted nothing more than to be a mother for her. Hence the "longing for Cecilia gave Kiana life". - Otto shot Fu Hua because she told him she would never accept his plan and would try to stop him. - Sadly no cinematic for the True Herrscher of Reason (Herrscher of Truth is a mis-translation), it happened mid combat during the story. The funniest thing is that Otto was in love with Kallen, yet she saw him as her best friend and closest confidant, all platonic. If you play through the Sakura Samsara game mode and read the relevant manga, it is heavily implied that Kallen's one true love, besides protecting people (girl was married to her job as a Kaslana Knight), was Current Era Yae Sakura, which she met when she fled Europe. There's this meme in the community about Kaslanas and their Japanese love interests because man, there's no way the three main Kaslanas of their eras (Kevin, Kallen and Kiana) all have romantic feelings for Japanese Girls like come on. What's ironic is that Otto's love for Kallen was unconditional, the purest kind yet his inability to live in a world without Kallen pushed him to kill and manipulate millions. He couldn't revive her because her soul had already dissipated, even using her DNA to make clones didn't bring her back, so his only possibility was to trick the Imaginary Tree into making a new branch where she didn't die in the first place. Otto is such a great character because of how human he is. He and Kiana are like two sides of the same coin. While both had the hardest lives, Kiana still chose to believe and trust in her loved ones to work together for a better world. While Otto put all his love and hopes and dreams in Kallen, the only person who ever showed him kindness, and when she died, he isolated himself. He had Durandal as his student, adopted Theresa as his granddaughter, cared deeply for the Valkyries in the front-lines, but he always kept them at arms length. While Kiana believed in the intrinsic power of love to transform their fucked up Honkai world into something beautiful, Otto used those same emotions to manipulate, mansplain and manslaughter. Otto is someone we LOVE to hate, because he shows us how ugly inside we can all be. I had a love hate relationship with this man because he was such a scummy person yet so well written, I loved to dissect every monologue he had in the game (he loved to do that with a glass of wine every single time). But when I watched Thus Spoke Apocalypse, I've cried as hard as with Final Lesson, Moon Halo, Shattered Samsara, Because of you or Graduation Trip. And by crying hard I mean three weeks of sorrow, misery, gloom, dejection and despondency.
Since ur confused, what happend was that during the awakening of Mei Kiana helped calm down Mei and then they were on the run. Thats when Himeko found then and Theresa used her authority to enroll then in her own school which is, as yk, St. Freya High. About Kiana defeating Mei in Nagazora. It just happens that Mei's Herrscher persona instantly fell in love with Kiana from the first sight and was like "OMG, she's so hot!" and thus decided to not go full out on her, lmao. And when Kiana showed her that she, too, have an affection towards Mei... Herrscher part decided to relax and let them be. Also I should add that information from videos is hardly enough to portray all shades of our characters. Only by reading all manga, playing all visual novels and playing through the game itself till to ongoing Chapter 38 one may fully understand how deep and great some characters are written. Mei, for example. Her video covers her story only till Chapter 17 but she incredibly develops till Chapter 35 and even after that in the APHO when we see the future 8 years after we can see even more pieces. You should watch 'Forever Stay True to Yourself' to understand who Siegfried's "real" daughter was - not sure if you really mind since you've watched a lot of the shorts but this is quite a heavy spoiler, though it was somewhat hinted across the middle and later chapters. Edit: Also, yes Otto is by far one of the most well written antagonists I've ever experienced. He did monstrous things, but helped move humanity forward. (He tested on dying patients to find the cure to the plague | He developed the technologies to fight the honkai | He basically fast-forwarded the main casts power to where they are now) None of the good he's done nullifies his evildoings. But at the end, he, without a doubt, deserves the respect. Also, without spoiling much of the story between the times Mei joined the World Serpent and the fight with Otto (basically the Elysian Realm arc), a further understanding of Herrschers comes to light.
The Samsara is something of a recurring theme in Honkai and also to an extent Genshin…events of past/parallel universe happening recurring again in different forms.. Like Fu Hua and the shit she had to go through in her life for tens of thousands of years.. Like in Star Rail, Bronya meeting Seele and their ill-fated relation to Cocolia.. Luocha (Otto) and Sushang meeting eachother also happened in the past (Honkai Impact)… The circumstances maybe different but the individuals will encounter eachother in one way or another…
You missed 2 honkai chronicles. Fu Hua chronicles and Durandal chronicles. Make sure to at least checkout durandal's one, after that you'll fully understand who Kiana is. As for fu hua's one, you'll get a better understanding of the previous era and fu hua's life. It's a pity they never made a chronicles for kevin though, he really deserved it even more than a most if not all of the other characters.
38:34 yeah when i first played that quest in HSR where the MC gained the power of the preservation, i really thought that the weapon looks like judgement of shamash. That sword is called judgement of shamash, its a previous era weapon just like Kallen's Oath of Judah and Durandal's Abyss Flower, those weapons are made from the cores of the previous era herrschers.
Nahhh I think what your talking about is the "Might of An-Utu" Kevin's weapon which is much stronger than judgment of shamash. Fun fact: the sword form is called "Cleaver of Shamash" and the gun form is "Judgement of Shamash" so basically a twin pistols which turns into a sword if combined.

Maybe should exclaim to him that there are like 4 female kaslana and 2 male cause he won't be able to remember or tell the diff because they all have white hair and big boobs except Theresa. The first kaslana in the time line is kevin kaslana (previous era) then in the middle ages 500 years before the present day kallen kaslana then Theresa as a clone of kallen but still within the family linage. That's the thing with Hoyoverse. While the overarching story is cataclysmic it's the personal stories during those events that are the focus. The writers also talk to each other so it's all consistent unlike some big movie studios now ^^

Fact: Otto originally created K423 to have a herrscher on the side of humanity and planned to use her to observe the quantum sea to complete his plan but then did not need it anymore because he found the 2nd God Key and obtained the 2nd god key control item through a trade with Kevin. Most likely we would meet the original Kiana Kaslana (The one that eventually became Durandal). Without Otto, the Kiana we all know would have never existed, and so she mostly likely doesn't exist in Honkai Star Rail. I would love to see Kiana in Star Rail but it would be a little undermining her ending in Hi3. I honestly like to think that the Trailblazer is a manifestation of Kiana in HSR, because they both use a bat lol

And at 1:04:40 you thought she was Kiana, but her name is Cecilia Schariac (with Seigfreid) she's Kiana's mom the one that was appearing ins Kiana (K423's) dreams before she got possessed by Sirin. Also I suggest you look into lore of Durandal. I don't think there is any official lore on her, but there might be fanmade lore vids about her. Her existence is pretty important to the main story.

In Honkai impact 3rd universe, Luocha was the name that Sushang called Otto at the first time they met, Luocha is a way that Shenzhou people called outsider like Otto Another thing is that Otto is called the greatest fool because that even after 500 years of planning. he couldn't revive Kallen but a variation of her in another bubble universe instead, everything he did was not to revive his own Kallen in the first place but to create a chance for another Kallen to survive that day.

Spoiler: Also the one with sigfried is not his original daughter thats his wife cecilia shariac the best valkyrie of that time. Kaslana family is also large due to being knights and one of the most influencial family in time of kallen so siegfried is one of the descendant, kallen died without any husband or child (she has a girlfriend tho) the 3 houses that was mention are kaslana, shariac and apocalypse. They are mention because they have connection with the previous era survivor and they have something in their blood that fight honkai, like kevin kaslana, also the original kiana is durandal, siegfried found out about kiana clone and try to rescue her with the help of his daughter durandal but an accident happen and durandal was injured fall of the plane and said plane crush on her, otto found her and save her but lost her memory so she doesnt know anything. Durandal is the original daughter of cecilia and siegfried she was chosen to clone because of her genes that have kaslana and shariac bloodline.
So idk if this has already been answered, but the reason Otto lived 500 years is because due to the previous era technologies he discovered in Void Archives he learned how to create soleium clones of himself and then transfer his consciousness to them. So he never "lived" longer than a normal person, its just when he got to be old enough he'd just transfer himself to a new clone and carry on. Oh and a quick explanation of what Otto did with the Imaginary tree, he basically synced himself with the tree gaining staggering amounts of imaginary power, be basically became about as strong as an Emnatator in HSR but his will was overridden by the Imaginary Tree and so his plan was to be beaten by the Valkyries so that at the moment of his defeat he still had all that power but control over his own will and with that split second of time he gave Kallens soul a place in parallel realities/alternate timelines at the expense of his soul in the Tree. He can never be born in some other world in the Tree like everyone else can because his price was to erace his existence from all realities in the entirety of the Universe forever.
In case you are still curious why he can live over 500 years, part of it because he possess the power of void archive ( at that time void archive was prison in Otto's mine for 500 year, that's also why Void archive has similar look to otto in APHO ). Otto also can create a whole new body with solium and multiple clone of himself. so he has plenty of way to live over 500 years.
Btw, more lore...honkai god in the moon actually is Prometheus 17 ( super A.I in pre-civilization, who hacked into the "honkai" like a virus on Herrscher of the End follows the plan of Dr.Mei (Kevin's lover) to "Define" the Honkai to help Current Civilization. And if u not know, Elysia - Herrscher of Human: Ego in animeshort "Because of You" sacrifices himself to make the herrschers of the current civilization have humanity and u see...Some herrschers like Welt, Kiana, Mei, Bronya used their powers to protect everyone but not the empty corpse obeying "honkai". Elysia, she is the greatest miracle, born as Herrscher but living and loving as a human.
I dunno bout GoaTed but Noragami is definitely up there with Inyuyasha, Spice N Wolf, the Index/Railgun/Accelerator (especially accelerator) series, and Cowboy Bebop as a non shonen series that I'd consider a must watch/read

I think you have a little bit of a misunderstanding of what's going on with the Kaslana family, especially their timeline. Kevin of the Previous Era (and sire of the World Serpent) is the founder of the Kaslana family in the Current Era. Like Fu Hua, he is immortal. Before I get into my next point, it's important to know there are three great "houses" (families) of the Current Era: The Kaslana family, the Apocalypse family, and the Shariac family. Kallen Kaslana was born to unnamed parents (not to Siegfried - he came much later) sometime in the 1500s. In the 1970s Otto successfully cloned A310 utilizing Kallen Kaslana's and Honkai beast Vishnu's genes. However, Otto deemed it as a failure as she was not suitable to resurrect Kallen - most notably as a result of using Vishnu, Theresa never "ages" past that of a 12-year old, even though in the main storyline she's in her 40s (although there are hints that in storyline part 2 and APHO she might have aged due to things she did at the end of part 1). Sometime in the late 20th century, both Siegfried Kaslana and Cecelia Shariac were born. Their love story is played out in the manga Second Eruption, but in short it led to the birth of their daughter Kiana Kaslana (note - not K423, but the "original" Kiana Kaslana). The birth of Kiana was nothing short of a miracle because the "mingling of blood" of the three great houses never went particularly well, especially between Kaslana and Shariac. In the 2000s Otto successfully cloned K423 using Kiana Kaslana's and Sirin's genes as well as implanting the Void core within her.

Otto implanted false memories in her and raised her to become an S-rank Valkyrie like her mother Cecilia.
Couple of extra details about Otto. His plan only included the self sacrifice and creating new timelines AFTER the Second Eruption. That chat he managed to have with the Will of Honkai inside Sirin's mind is how he got that part of the plan. His relationship and feelings for Kallen have been portrayed as ... evolving. It starts as childhood friends, seems to veer into romantic territory, and before Kallen's first arrest it may have had a chance at being reciprocated, and then gradually grows into idolatry and worship of her as a saint like figure. Certainly the way he talks about her in the Kolosten arc feel less like romantic interest and more like a near religious devotion.
Iirc, Otto is actually the Honkai version of Da Vinci. Otto was born close to the time of Da Vinci, and we dont have Da Vinci stigma, stigma are usually based on real historical figure (Kafka, Cleopatra, Beethoven etc). Not to mentioned that Otto nickname was Inventor. Yeah, Otto is what happened if Da Vinci become mad, and assume control of a world organization. Edit: Bronya Herrscher transformation is in game cutscene. So yeah, beside short animation like Final Lesson etc. Honkai also has in game cutscene.

Regarding how Otto is alive after centuries; he's been using the knowledge of Void Archives to transfer his consciousness into new bodies made from Solium. I'm surprised the Chronicles didn't mention it. To be fair it only really comes up tangentially in the mangas a few times. Tesla and Einstein are also eternally young due to the events of the Anti-Entropy visual novel (the story of Welt Joyce). HI3rd's lore is deep. Also also, chapters 32-35 have solidified that Honkai beasts and Herrschers are something localized to this planet, so don't expect to see them in Star Rail. Unless we get to go to Earth or the Cocoon of Finality really is the Aeon of Finality.

@@LegionzGaming91 After all, I've watched it in one go. To reply to some of your questions: 1. The Honkai in Star Rail is mostly there because both games are directly connected (Welt and VA). I had a theory that the Aeon Terminus which represents Finality was the creator of Honkai, but then I learned that the translation is a bit whacky and the Finality represented by Terminus isn't the same as the source of Honkai. 2. Otto made multiple clones and transferred his consciousness to the that's how he lived for 500 years, but also, some scientists managed to stop their aging (like Einstein and Tesla who are very old). 3. Sirin had multiple Herrscher Gems, one of them was the Gem of Serenity (Death) which gave her powers over life, including reviving dead people. A Gem is a lesser form of an actual Herrscher Core. Otto's initial plan was to take control over Herrscher of Death's powers, but some things will get slightly retconned as the story progress. 4. HoR's Chronicle was narrated by Bronya. As HI3 has no English voice acting, you can find it only in Chinese and Japanese. HSR was in closed beta when it was released and both Bronya Rand and Silver Wolf were already voiced characters there. I have no idea why they didn't use one of those VAs. 5. Silver Wolf isn't based on the same Bronya from the main story. She's based on Bronie, aka Haxxor Bunny, which is Bronya from another universe with a different personality and skills. When you have the chance, you must follow Kiana's story. She's one of my favorite protagonists of all time and the things she went through were briefly summarized in these videos.
In short Otto after meeting the Will of Honkai (a.k.a God on the Moon), in the battle with Sirin, found a way to make a Branch in the time line. In Honkai Impact time is like written in stone. Time travels won't change anything. So he become something Greater (a False God). To create a branch in the time line, where a LUCKY meteor fell on the Honkai that Kellen is fighting. No one in the main time line knows this they just thought they killed Otto. In the end of Otto, * he gave Kellen endless possibilities of a happy ending. * While making sure that the World that Kellen died for will defeat the Honkai

58:12 No, Kiana is clone of someone else, only Theresa and Amber(Otto's secretary) were Kallen's clone. Which is why Kiana calls Theresa her aunt; Theresa and Siegfried are not siblings, but they both share Kaslana DNA and are bound by Kaslana Stigmata which forced the ideal of "protect people" into them, thus made them overly self-sacrificing in many ways. It's not a bad thing but quite extreme and self-damaging. Which also explains why Kallen was so radical in the sense that she wants to save literally everyone without leaving anybody behind, it's idealistic and unrealistic.
Btw i read the updates in game for the companion missions and the short synopsis for Luocha’s story quest is soooo Sus..cause it seems to indicate that not only Welt recognise him but what surprised me is that the synopsis seems to say March also knows him too…and so they’re following Luocha to sus him out… Probably because Welt didnt want to come to the conclusion that Luocha is that same person he knew.. I assume our group will meet up with Dan Heng by then?

Kallen = from 500 years back, ottos love Theresa = Kallens Clone Cecilia = Siegfrieds wive and Kianas Mother Kiana = K423 Clone from real Kiana Durandal = Siegfrieds/Cecilias daughter, the real OG Kiana. PS: Otto had 2 options to revive Kallen 1. change past, therefore you erase the current time, while current otto having good past. or. 2. give kallen complete other timeline and save current past. while current otto die for another timeline. But I thing he just wanted to go for the way 1. and killed bunch of people but after he saw how strong the people got, because of his actions, he chosse for the way 2. i think. he just wanted to be sure if these valk. are strong enough to fight of the future honkai, after the valk. proofe themselfs, he was reliefed to leave the future to them, rather than changing the past and erase whole bunch of strong valkyries he created past 500 years.

(If so, the official channel's playlist is missing a few as usual, so you might need an updated list) I recommend watching the trailer first before going into the concert so as to familiarise yourself with the music because the second concert is an orchestral rendition of their music.
If someone tells you that certain characters aren't lesbian because it's either not mentioned explicitly or designated as "close friends" or "roommates", they are very lesbian. Canonically so. You can see it in the game and it's very obvious they mean it too. MiHoYo couldn't say it in the game (they had to tiptoe around it), but they were very blatant about it in the manga (which majority of them are canon since they were either prequels or side stories, and some have been retconned a bit but that's on the lore side and not on the lesbian side). Mei even had a dream sequence about marrying Kiana.
The first few chapters of the game make Kiana and Mei pretty obvious and if someone hasn't figured it out by Lament of the Fallen; they are probably hopeless.

Bronya's part is a bit hard to follow because it's a music video, but basically... 1. Bronya was a child assassin in the Ural Mountains, codename Silver Wolf 2. Bronya tried to assassinate Cocolia, failed 3. Cocolia adopts Bronya into her orphanage 4. Bronya meets the other children at the orphanage 5. One of the orphanage children is named Seele, Bronya got along extra well with her 6. The orphanage was experimenting with this magic tattoo thing called Stigmata 7. Stigmata basically allows the user to become herscherr-lite 8. Bronya tested as best in the orphanage, and was thus chosen to be experimented on 9. Seele negotiates and manages to make her the experiment instead 10. Experiment went to hell, Seele got thrown into the Sea of Quanta
And this doesn't even include Bronya having an internal monologue about how terrible a band of mercenaries is while eliminating all of them to save Seele after Seele got kidnapped.
I like your reaction, the video was cool, but it misses the honkai chronicles of Fu Hua and Durandal who are both very important in the understanding of some and major event in the lore.

In my opinion, Kiana is one of the best protagonists in gaming.
No other protagonist has ever moved me as much as she does, and her evolution is incredible.
Yeah I have to agree I absolutely loved her backstory and her character growth throughout all of this.

Otto is neither good nor evil... He's morally gray... He wasn't a psychopath or sociopath who couldn't understand human emotions or couldn't feel them... It's true that he's basically one of primary antagonists in the story and everything in the story happened because of him but he also did a lot of good... He advanced human technology and quality of life... Guided a lot of people... He raised Durandal purposely with kindness so she could become as strong as she had potential to be... He developed cure for the Plague( he experimented on dying patients who were affected by the plague( people condemn him for that and it's true it's a bad thing but if he didn't do that, who knows how many years would it take to develop a cure and how many lifes would the plague take in the meantime))
Glad you're enjoying these, the writing in honkai is so good. For some comments you made:
- Cocolia is generally portrayed as the misguided mother in the Honkai games, loving, caring, but making mistakes. Not usually an outright villain. I think its shown really well in the Azure Waters one, she was just trying to save the kids from Honkai.
- The chapter 11 EX scene is where she first starts trying to control the power. Its suggested that Fu Hua (who has power over memories and dreams) may have given her that vision, to help her remember what Himeko taught her.
- Kiana may not have been a valkyrie yet when she stopped Mei, but she trained with her father, who was a Schicksal Knight.
- Kiana didn't join after Himeko saved her because she fell from the sky into the ocean, she washed up on the shore and started drifting in depression and fear of herself.
- Fun Fact, Raven's name (the assassin) is "Natasha Cioara", Honkai Impacts version of Nat.
- Otto lived so long because of the secrets he learned from Void Archives. He was also experimenting on himself, essentially.
- The person hold Seigfried was Cecilia, his wife and Kiana's mother. Kiana was cloned from the real Kiana, who went missing in the mission to rescue her. (their airship was hit and the original Kiana went flying out of it) Cecilia and Sirin died embracing when hit by the missles, and Sirin had actually calmed down. Cecilia wanted nothing more than to be a mother for her. Hence the "longing for Cecilia gave Kiana life".
- Otto shot Fu Hua because she told him she would never accept his plan and would try to stop him.
- Sadly no cinematic for the True Herrscher of Reason (Herrscher of Truth is a mis-translation), it happened mid combat during the story.

The funniest thing is that Otto was in love with Kallen, yet she saw him as her best friend and closest confidant, all platonic. If you play through the Sakura Samsara game mode and read the relevant manga, it is heavily implied that Kallen's one true love, besides protecting people (girl was married to her job as a Kaslana Knight), was Current Era Yae Sakura, which she met when she fled Europe.
There's this meme in the community about Kaslanas and their Japanese love interests because man, there's no way the three main Kaslanas of their eras (Kevin, Kallen and Kiana) all have romantic feelings for Japanese Girls like come on.
What's ironic is that Otto's love for Kallen was unconditional, the purest kind yet his inability to live in a world without Kallen pushed him to kill and manipulate millions. He couldn't revive her because her soul had already dissipated, even using her DNA to make clones didn't bring her back, so his only possibility was to trick the Imaginary Tree into making a new branch where she didn't die in the first place.
Otto is such a great character because of how human he is. He and Kiana are like two sides of the same coin. While both had the hardest lives, Kiana still chose to believe and trust in her loved ones to work together for a better world. While Otto put all his love and hopes and dreams in Kallen, the only person who ever showed him kindness, and when she died, he isolated himself. He had Durandal as his student, adopted Theresa as his granddaughter, cared deeply for the Valkyries in the front-lines, but he always kept them at arms length. While Kiana believed in the intrinsic power of love to transform their fucked up Honkai world into something beautiful, Otto used those same emotions to manipulate, mansplain and manslaughter.
Otto is someone we LOVE to hate, because he shows us how ugly inside we can all be. I had a love hate relationship with this man because he was such a scummy person yet so well written, I loved to dissect every monologue he had in the game (he loved to do that with a glass of wine every single time). But when I watched Thus Spoke Apocalypse, I've cried as hard as with Final Lesson, Moon Halo, Shattered Samsara, Because of you or Graduation Trip. And by crying hard I mean three weeks of sorrow, misery, gloom, dejection and despondency.
Since ur confused, what happend was that during the awakening of Mei Kiana helped calm down Mei and then they were on the run. Thats when Himeko found then and Theresa used her authority to enroll then in her own school which is, as yk, St. Freya High.
Edit: Yes, Theresa is a clone of Kallen that Otto created along with other clones and Otto was surprised by how similar Theresa was to Kallen that he decided to adopt her has his granddaughter, thus making her an Apocalypse.
Edit 2: No, Mei and Kiana arent a canon couple. I mean they might as well be and would be if it wasnt for Chinese censorship laws but yea, they arent canon.

Edit: Also, yes Otto is by far one of the most well written antagonists I've ever experienced. He did monstrous things, but helped move humanity forward. (He tested on dying patients to find the cure to the plague | He developed the technologies to fight the honkai | He basically fast-forwarded the main casts power to where they are now) None of the good he's done nullifies his evildoings. But at the end, he, without a doubt, deserves the respect.
Also, without spoiling much of the story between the times Mei joined the World Serpent and the fight with Otto (basically the Elysian Realm arc), a further understanding of Herrschers comes to light.

You missed 2 honkai chronicles. Fu Hua chronicles and Durandal chronicles. Make sure to at least checkout durandal's one, after that you'll fully understand who Kiana is.
As for fu hua's one, you'll get a better understanding of the previous era and fu hua's life. It's a pity they never made a chronicles for kevin though, he really deserved it even more than a most if not all of the other characters.

Also the one with sigfried is not his original daughter thats his wife cecilia shariac the best valkyrie of that time. Kaslana family is also large due to being knights and one of the most influencial family in time of kallen so siegfried is one of the descendant, kallen died without any husband or child (she has a girlfriend tho) the 3 houses that was mention are kaslana, shariac and apocalypse. They are mention because they have connection with the previous era survivor and they have something in their blood that fight honkai, like kevin kaslana, also the original kiana is durandal, siegfried found out about kiana clone and try to rescue her with the help of his daughter durandal but an accident happen and durandal was injured fall of the plane and said plane crush on her, otto found her and save her but lost her memory so she doesnt know anything. Durandal is the original daughter of cecilia and siegfried she was chosen to clone because of her genes that have kaslana and shariac bloodline.
So idk if this has already been answered, but the reason Otto lived 500 years is because due to the previous era technologies he discovered in Void Archives he learned how to create soleium clones of himself and then transfer his consciousness to them. So he never "lived" longer than a normal person, its just when he got to be old enough he'd just transfer himself to a new clone and carry on.
Oh and a quick explanation of what Otto did with the Imaginary tree, he basically synced himself with the tree gaining staggering amounts of imaginary power, be basically became about as strong as an Emnatator in HSR but his will was overridden by the Imaginary Tree and so his plan was to be beaten by the Valkyries so that at the moment of his defeat he still had all that power but control over his own will and with that split second of time he gave Kallens soul a place in parallel realities/alternate timelines at the expense of his soul in the Tree. He can never be born in some other world in the Tree like everyone else can because his price was to erace his existence from all realities in the entirety of the Universe forever.
In case you are still curious why he can live over 500 years, part of it because he possess the power of void archive ( at that time void archive was prison in Otto's mine for 500 year, that's also why Void archive has similar look to otto in APHO ). Otto also can create a whole new body with solium and multiple clone of himself. so he has plenty of way to live over 500 years.

And if u not know, Elysia - Herrscher of Human: Ego in animeshort "Because of You" sacrifices himself to make the herrschers of the current civilization have humanity and u see...Some herrschers like Welt, Kiana, Mei, Bronya used their powers to protect everyone but not the empty corpse obeying "honkai". Elysia, she is the greatest miracle, born as Herrscher but living and loving as a human.
I dunno bout GoaTed but Noragami is definitely up there with Inyuyasha, Spice N Wolf, the Index/Railgun/Accelerator (especially accelerator) series, and Cowboy Bebop as a non shonen series that I'd consider a must watch/read

I think you have a little bit of a misunderstanding of what's going on with the Kaslana family, especially their timeline.
Kevin of the Previous Era (and sire of the World Serpent) is the founder of the Kaslana family in the Current Era. Like Fu Hua, he is immortal.
Before I get into my next point, it's important to know there are three great "houses" (families) of the Current Era: The Kaslana family, the Apocalypse family, and the Shariac family.
Kallen Kaslana was born to unnamed parents (not to Siegfried - he came much later) sometime in the 1500s.
In the 1970s Otto successfully cloned A310 utilizing Kallen Kaslana's and Honkai beast Vishnu's genes. However, Otto deemed it as a failure as she was not suitable to resurrect Kallen - most notably as a result of using Vishnu, Theresa never "ages" past that of a 12-year old, even though in the main storyline she's in her 40s (although there are hints that in storyline part 2 and APHO she might have aged due to things she did at the end of part 1).
Sometime in the late 20th century, both Siegfried Kaslana and Cecelia Shariac were born. Their love story is played out in the manga Second Eruption, but in short it led to the birth of their daughter Kiana Kaslana (note - not K423, but the "original" Kiana Kaslana). The birth of Kiana was nothing short of a miracle because the "mingling of blood" of the three great houses never went particularly well, especially between Kaslana and Shariac.
In the 2000s Otto successfully cloned K423 using Kiana Kaslana's and Sirin's genes as well as implanting the Void core within her.

Couple of extra details about Otto.
His plan only included the self sacrifice and creating new timelines AFTER the Second Eruption. That chat he managed to have with the Will of Honkai inside Sirin's mind is how he got that part of the plan.
His relationship and feelings for Kallen have been portrayed as ... evolving. It starts as childhood friends, seems to veer into romantic territory, and before Kallen's first arrest it may have had a chance at being reciprocated, and then gradually grows into idolatry and worship of her as a saint like figure. Certainly the way he talks about her in the Kolosten arc feel less like romantic interest and more like a near religious devotion.
Iirc, Otto is actually the Honkai version of Da Vinci. Otto was born close to the time of Da Vinci, and we dont have Da Vinci stigma, stigma are usually based on real historical figure (Kafka, Cleopatra, Beethoven etc). Not to mentioned that Otto nickname was Inventor.
Yeah, Otto is what happened if Da Vinci become mad, and assume control of a world organization.
Edit: Bronya Herrscher transformation is in game cutscene. So yeah, beside short animation like Final Lesson etc. Honkai also has in game cutscene.

By the way the girl with Siegfried at 1:03:48 , is not Kiana Kaslana but Siegfried wife, Cecilia Schariac.

Regarding how Otto is alive after centuries; he's been using the knowledge of Void Archives to transfer his consciousness into new bodies made from Solium. I'm surprised the Chronicles didn't mention it. To be fair it only really comes up tangentially in the mangas a few times.
Tesla and Einstein are also eternally young due to the events of the Anti-Entropy visual novel (the story of Welt Joyce).
HI3rd's lore is deep.
Also also, chapters 32-35 have solidified that Honkai beasts and Herrschers are something localized to this planet, so don't expect to see them in Star Rail. Unless we get to go to Earth or the Cocoon of Finality really is the Aeon of Finality.
One of the best is when Otto tries to look cool, but ends up messing up the parameters for one of his clones.

To reply to some of your questions:
1. The Honkai in Star Rail is mostly there because both games are directly connected (Welt and VA). I had a theory that the Aeon Terminus which represents Finality was the creator of Honkai, but then I learned that the translation is a bit whacky and the Finality represented by Terminus isn't the same as the source of Honkai.
2. Otto made multiple clones and transferred his consciousness to the that's how he lived for 500 years, but also, some scientists managed to stop their aging (like Einstein and Tesla who are very old).
3. Sirin had multiple Herrscher Gems, one of them was the Gem of Serenity (Death) which gave her powers over life, including reviving dead people. A Gem is a lesser form of an actual Herrscher Core. Otto's initial plan was to take control over Herrscher of Death's powers, but some things will get slightly retconned as the story progress.
4. HoR's Chronicle was narrated by Bronya. As HI3 has no English voice acting, you can find it only in Chinese and Japanese. HSR was in closed beta when it was released and both Bronya Rand and Silver Wolf were already voiced characters there. I have no idea why they didn't use one of those VAs.
5. Silver Wolf isn't based on the same Bronya from the main story. She's based on Bronie, aka Haxxor Bunny, which is Bronya from another universe with a different personality and skills.
When you have the chance, you must follow Kiana's story. She's one of my favorite protagonists of all time and the things she went through were briefly summarized in these videos.
Makes you realize that Luocha was carrying a Coffin, but the most sus about it is the , person he is looking for to revive the one inside the coffin
In short Otto after meeting the Will of Honkai (a.k.a God on the Moon), in the battle with Sirin, found a way to make a Branch in the time line.
In Honkai Impact time is like written in stone. Time travels won't change anything.
So he become something Greater (a False God). To create a branch in the time line, where a LUCKY meteor fell on the Honkai that Kellen is fighting. No one in the main time line knows this they just thought they killed Otto.
In the end of Otto,
* he gave Kellen endless possibilities of a happy ending.
* While making sure that the World that Kellen died for will defeat the Honkai

No, Kiana is clone of someone else, only Theresa and Amber(Otto's secretary) were Kallen's clone.
Which is why Kiana calls Theresa her aunt; Theresa and Siegfried are not siblings, but they both share Kaslana DNA and are bound by Kaslana Stigmata which forced the ideal of "protect people" into them, thus made them overly self-sacrificing in many ways. It's not a bad thing but quite extreme and self-damaging.
Which also explains why Kallen was so radical in the sense that she wants to save literally everyone without leaving anybody behind, it's idealistic and unrealistic.
Btw i read the updates in game for the companion missions and the short synopsis for Luocha’s story quest is soooo Sus..cause it seems to indicate that not only Welt recognise him but what surprised me is that the synopsis seems to say March also knows him too…and so they’re following Luocha to sus him out…

PS: Otto had 2 options to revive Kallen
1. change past, therefore you erase the current time, while current otto having good past.
or.
2. give kallen complete other timeline and save current past. while current otto die for another timeline.
But I thing he just wanted to go for the way 1. and killed bunch of people but after he saw how strong the people got, because of his actions, he chosse for the way 2. i think.
he just wanted to be sure if these valk. are strong enough to fight of the future honkai, after the valk. proofe themselfs, he was reliefed to leave the future to them, rather than changing the past and erase whole bunch of strong valkyries he created past 500 years.

If someone tells you that certain characters aren't lesbian because it's either not mentioned explicitly or designated as "close friends" or "roommates", they are very lesbian. Canonically so. You can see it in the game and it's very obvious they mean it too.
MiHoYo couldn't say it in the game (they had to tiptoe around it), but they were very blatant about it in the manga (which majority of them are canon since they were either prequels or side stories, and some have been retconned a bit but that's on the lore side and not on the lesbian side). Mei even had a dream sequence about marrying Kiana.
The first few chapters of the game make Kiana and Mei pretty obvious and if someone hasn't figured it out by Lament of the Fallen; they are probably hopeless.

Bronya's part is a bit hard to follow because it's a music video, but basically...
1. Bronya was a child assassin in the Ural Mountains, codename Silver Wolf
2. Bronya tried to assassinate Cocolia, failed
3. Cocolia adopts Bronya into her orphanage
4. Bronya meets the other children at the orphanage
5. One of the orphanage children is named Seele, Bronya got along extra well with her
6. The orphanage was experimenting with this magic tattoo thing called Stigmata
7. Stigmata basically allows the user to become herscherr-lite
8. Bronya tested as best in the orphanage, and was thus chosen to be experimented on
9. Seele negotiates and manages to make her the experiment instead
10. Experiment went to hell, Seele got thrown into the Sea of Quanta
And this doesn't even include Bronya having an internal monologue about how terrible a band of mercenaries is while eliminating all of them to save Seele after Seele got kidnapped.

I have never watched Honkai chronicle before, it's so enjoyable watching this with you. And yes, please play this game 😊, it's so much better when you fully understand the lore. We are now in part 1.5, and there is still part 2 of the story, I'm really curious how Honkai Impact story will end.
