To add to the Stafford Springs route, the Rever app has a route called "Northeast Connecticut Corner Loop." It starts in Stafford Springs, goes through Union, Woodstock, Pomfret, Ashford, by Uconn(makes a good detour for the dairy bar), and Willington(some more good food there). Beautiful ride, an hour 40 minutes or so, 56 miles. It works out well enough for folks in other parts of the state, as you can join up to the route in Willington off i-84, and go either away from, or towards Stafford Springs to complete the loop in either direction. By far one of my favorites, whether by car or bike.
I'm local to the state a ride all over. Too bad you only had 5 to list. Here is what you missed. (and in no particular order as I love ALL these rides) #1 - Route 66 Middletown to Columbia. You will go through a few towns, but there is some great scenery and The Main Moose at the end of the ride to eat outdoors with other riders. #2 - Route 63 from Naugatuck to Canaan. #3 Middletown rte66 stay on till you hit rte16 follow till you hit 616 to Borzah. (bonus if you get on 163 to 80 to to 77 back to Middletown). And there is so much more. Just stay off 91, 95, 84 and 691 abound Hartford, new haven, Bridgeport and Stamford and you will enjoy the ride. Anyone ever want to come up for a day or two and ride around just let me know. @@GreatMotorcycleRoads I ride the New England states April to December. Wife and i are doing CT to Niagara Falls in June. If your ever up this way let me know and I will get you out. I'm also doing all 6 states and a 2000 mile loop at the end of August. 4 days 3 night averaging about 550 miles a day. I'm going to try and record it on REVER. And will definitely post on Facebook. Big fan of your channel. Gave some great ideas on going to Tennessee and other destinations.
Nicely done! Everyone should come into the little towns too! Awesome food and drink! Shops for the wife...etc! Rt 7....up early, breakfast in Kent and off you go. Don't forget scenic Lime Rock Raceway, they have vintage races there.
@@qman1434 we love the Kent area and have been by Lime Rock several times. Very time we go out we try and find a different way to get where we are going. If your local to CT look me up and let’s ride
With Route 3 you ended too early. You need to continue on 156 all the way through to Niantic to grab tacos at East Coast Tacos. Then continue on to Waterford and head south on 213 to Harkness Memorial State Park.
From Middletown, go east on 66 over the Portland Bridge, follow to junction of 85 in Hebron. Go south on 85 a couple miles, then East on 207, this is a beautiful road, rural CT at its finest. 207 ends in Baltic where it meets 97. Go straight on 97 across the river and find the Sprague River Park on the left.. check out the ruins of the Sprague River Dam that provided hydropower to the old Baltic Mills, which was destroyed in the flood of '55. Bit of history, there.. and the river has a swimming beach. Great ride, just under an hour from Middletown to Baltic
Not my neck of the woods, but I appreciate the suggestions when and if I get up that direction. I noticed you said "every state in America". If that includes Hawaii, I have some footage and suggestions for you. Nice work as always!
