my grandparents own this house now 😂😭
Wow! That’s awesome! 😀
No problem getting around this house in a wheelchair, lots of room. Problem is, wheelchairs and stairs mix like oil and water. Sooner or later reality sets in , young or old.
Someone who earned his money opposed to people who inherited it or won a lottery .
Can I ask why all the gates on windows and the whole house? It is nice though.
Wow! I'd love to see what they did with it. 🙂
I guess perspective is everything. If you can afford a $300k house, you sure aren't poor!
I agree, perspective is everything for sure. And the crazy thing is that a $300,000 house is actually very cheap in the grand scheme of things when compared to most other homes.
@@chasingtheAmericanDream The average home price where I live (central Illinois) is $167k.
@@jeffhernandez5098 oh wow. Yea we house shopped for quite a while in many areas and anything in the range of 167k was a fixer upper. We never actually looked in Central Illinois though. Very interesting. Thanks for the info!
Who in their right mind thought that green inside the laundry room was a good idea… 🦎lol
I know right!? 😂
Hey, it's Mexico, you see all kinds of colors inside and outside of houses here. Fortunately, paint is cheap and labor even cheaper. So you can repaint quickly and easy. I just painted the exterior of my home and the labor cost was about $300 USD.
You will be rich if you live there ... good food, happiness, friends, etc.
Thank you for sharing your thoughts! There are cheaper places in Mexico to live in!
Nice video guys!! Look forward to living in that house!!!
That’s awesome! Congrats!!🥳
Wow that back yard
Nice views for sure! Nice house, but if I could afford it, it would need a 1/2 bath on the 1st floor for visitors, and remove the red tiles from the shower (at least 2 of the walls). And the views!
It’s beautiful!
The bathroom near the office can be used for visitors. And there is a 1/2 Bath off of the back patio for visitors as well.
The house looks great but every door seems to be gated or have bars which is not a great sign that it is a safe area. Most likely, it is one of those homes that people don't live year round, just short term stay. I love the camera shot of the large bug at @0:46 😁😝 The half bathroom on the roof top was unique. You don't see that in the USA. Her statement at 4:19 is hysterical, "You just ask some guy to come up with a big bucket of stuff and just rolls it on." The flat roof walls need aluminum capping to prevent water intrusion which is unclear how much rain that area gets. The last bathroom at 11:15 is a hideous color combination (for me anyway).
Thanks so much for watching this video and for leaving your feedback! The place this house is in is a very safe area and when you travel throughout Mexico and you see bars on many windows. It’s part of the culture. It’s what they do
Bars on doors & windows are SOP in any Latin American country.
I prefer in Mexican Pesitos * . .
lovely views. worth the 10 min drive right?
Absolutely!!
Try to visit Puerto Vallarta 🎉
Thanks! We were there in 2021 before we had this RUclips channel but we will go again!
Are tiny houses allowed?
What neighborhood is this located in?
How do y’all afford living in Mexico, work from home, savings??
That’s a great question! We work online but maybe we will do a video on it discussing that more
No. Jacarandas bloom in March.
What real estate agency is Wendy with?
Her contact info is in the description
Can you get a mortgage in Mex? If so, how much is required for a down payment?
That's a great question! It's definitely not something that is typically done. We will do a video on this topic for you and post it on the channel! Stay tuned!
For what I know same process as the us. You need a credit score
@@tomasacevedo3095 correct, but foreigners don't have a credit history here in Mexico in most cases.
@@tomasacevedo3095 No I doubt that it's the same process, I don't believe that you can get a 30 year mortgage like you can in America.
You cannot get a mortgage in Mexico because you have no credit history in Mexico. If you are from the United States, there are a few cross-border lenders power off, but those mortgages tend to be fairly expensive. You have to have 2 appraisals, a 700 or better FICO score, Thirty percent to put down, and the interest rates are a bit high. But they do offer up to a 25 or 30 year loan. The high cost is because foreign loans are considered to be a high risk investment.
Very pretty, but $289,000 is too high for my budget.
Thank you so much for giving us your thoughts! 👌
Is the same price in texas
@@LaSFamilyVlogs that's true, except you'll get a lot more for your money here in Mexico for the same price.
Not really mexico is just as expensive. Yes you pay more here in USA but at least their is no roadblocks their is no potholes, there is no 40 cables from one post to the other wooden posrt. Atleast electritians in USA do follow codes. Atleast, there are no extortion fees that you pay. I rather pay extra here in USA. I am not a mexican hater. Mexico is beautiful its the land were my parents come from but let me tell you there is a reason my parents came here. Now you might say "cost of living is better" not really because 1k a month can take you very far away for a Mexican it is very difficult to pull that money. It is cheap for those of you transfering dollars to pesos. The opportunities you have here in America far outweigh Mexico. But remember Mexico is beautiful for those with money 50% of poor mexicans dont think Mexico is pretty
@@dianabenavides2913 dollar for dollar you'll get way more for your money in Mexico for sure when talking about real estate.
Suggestion for the camera operator, calm down, the camera is moving almost constantly. I do nont have a history of motion sickness, but DAMN, you got me to dizzy! And why the brief interjections of "music"? Too much $$$
Sorry, this was a very atypical day to be honest and the editor did the best they could with what they had. This and another video had some corrupted footage which is why we had the interjections of music and the movement. As far as the cost of the home goes we thought it was pretty decent.
Is that realtor single? Because I am.
😂now that home just made US average homes looks like shit😂
$1200 homes in the States are a lot smaller why? Because they enjoy ripping us off .
And look at this is mexico❤ bold and the beautiful 🤩
More for your money more bang for your buck 💵
The camera work is really nauseating. Please research better techniques for shooting without putting the viewer on a "tilt-a-whirl" from the carnival. The panning is much too fast and the camera is not held level. Tough viewing.
Thanks, a couple people mentioned that this specific video was an issue as far as footage and the reason why is because we had some trouble recovering the footage properly, so we had to edit it in the way we had it. The rest of our videos, although not professional, are much better and less nauseating. Please feel free to watch the other videos as well if you like, and if those videos are not up to your standard then you can feel free to skip them and watch someone who has better footage.
Expad. Inmigrantes
who the eff has $289,000 chilling in the back in 2023?
If you do, you ain’t looking at Chapala Mexico 😅
Who is the audience for your channel? Do you even know?
There are a LOT of people who have that kind of money... And why shouldn't they look at Chapala Mexico? That kind of money in the United States will buy you less than a quarter of what it can buy you in Chapala 💁
As we mentioned in the video, this house was JUST SOLD so clearly someone had the money for it and someone thought it was a great idea to buy over in Chapala.
I recently sold a house in the same neighborhood. That was 189000. It was a smaller house, and had a small yard, but was very nice, recently remodeled, and included solar electric panels
Cartel gonna get yo azz
lol do you even live in Mexico bro? stop being a hater
@@Grod77711 my family lives in Tijuana I’m from Monterey Mexico originally
What on earth would make you say something like that? It amazes me the types of people you meet online. I'm glad ALL of the Mexicans that we've met have welcomed us here. Unfortunately people like you give Mexicans a bad name.
@@Grod77711 lol definitely a hater
i think so too, its sad people would say something like that, If you don't get involved in the drug trade, cartels won't mess with you. They brag about cartels when its killing and destroying the Mexican country, nothing to boast about. Crazy!@@chasingtheAmericanDream
Stop using the word expats, the term is immigrant, get it right lady
The term is expat. She did get it right. Look up the definition. Have a good day
