  • Noam Dworman sits down with Philip Bump and Dov Davidoff.
This one one gets pretty heated and Bump flirts with walking out. We're happy he didn't.
Does the Hunter Biden story implicate his dad? We argue about what can read between the lines.
Philip Bump is a national columnist for The Washington Post; before that he led political coverage for The Atlantic Wire. One of the paper’s most read writers, he focusses on the data behind polls and political rhetoric.
Dov Davidoff is a comic and an actor whose television appearances include The Tonight Show, Crashing and numerous others. He is regular at The Comedy Cellar.

Weapons of mass destruction, Iran contra, the aids coverage, 2008 financial collapse, the arming of moderate rebels in Syria, the covington school kids, the coverage of the clinton sex scandal and the list goes on

I don't think they are 'close-minded.' They know exactly what they are doing, they're spreading lies and propaganda to subvert a democracy. In other words, Democrats have armed journalism as a left-wing, talking fake narrative to win future elections. It happened in 2020, which no one can deny. They hid the Hunter laptop story, silenced viewpoints, and deleted accounts that even mentioned it, and they did this because of pressure from Biden's White House. The only reason why Shokin was fired was because he was investigating Hunter's business. It time Americans recognize the real facts from fake journalists.

These are serious questions not befitting being handled by someone acting like a captain of a high school debate team. He is the definition of a Sophist, and a living illustration of Sophists' Achilles heel: the simple truth. No matter how wise or clever one may be, they cannot turn their lies into truth. The whole point from Dworman is that the circumstantial evidence is so overwhelming that it warrants further, skeptical investigation instead of accepting statements from the potential criminals that everything was kosher, the latter of which is what Bump is doing and has done. The fact that he’s one of two people in the world who still thinks it is legit to say Hunter’s laptop is Russian disinformation also says so much about how blind he is.

I realize columnist ≠ journalist, but Mr. Bump just seems way too emotionally invested in upholding one side of this issue. There may be a scandal here or there may be absolutely nothing, but the fact that the press seems wholly uninterested in examining both sides of the question is unfortunate. Part of what makes our country work is a free and fair press holding the powerful accountable; now we seem to have a press that is only interested in holding certain leaders accountable. Its just a further erosion of our institutions that has occurred over the last 7 years.
