My background is shia, no one in my congregation curses the Sahabi or wife of the prophet. I didn't know the difference between sunni and shia until later in life, no one brought it up.

@@webots125 Let me clarify some points so. Oh Ali doesn't mean it's the same thing to saying Oh Allah SWT. The name Imam Ali as was cursed in the Friday pulpit for 60 years, and propoganda was also a massive pin point to numerous of things. Shias believe the prophets and the Alulbayte are infallible we follow the Quran and the Alulbayte so that's why we are attached to the Alulbayte due to many things like dua, Knowledge, and etc.

Ali ibn Abi Talib (RA) named his two sons Umar and Abu bakr. He married his daughter to Umar Ibn Al khattab (RA).
Imam Musa (RA) named his daughter Aisha.

Quran, 32:23-25: “We made it a guide for the children of Israel. And We made from among them leaders guiding by Our command when they were patient and [when] they were certain of Our signs. Verily your Lord will judge between them on the Day of Judgment, in the matters wherein they differ (among themselves).”
These verses cannot possibly be in relation to any Infallible Imams, since all of the Israelites are promised to become leaders if they persevere with patience and had faith in Allah’s communications. The verse relates to all of the Israelites, and surely all of them were not Infallible Imams. Even Allah says in the same verse that “your Lord will judge between them on the Day of Judgment, in the matters wherein they differ.” This makes it clear that the context is in regards to all of the Israelites who differed amongst each other.
The Ayah clearly states that the Bani Israel as a whole were made “Imaams” on Earth. Thus, the entire tribe is given the position of Imaamah in this verse. Comparing it with other Quranic Ayahs about the Children of Israel, we see that it closely resembles Verses such as this one:
“They [the Children of Israel] said: ‘We suffered hurt before you came to us, and since you have come to us.’ He [Musa] said: ‘It may be that your Lord is going to destroy your adversary and make you viceroys in the earth, that He may see how you behave.’” (Quran 7:129)
We see that the position of vicegerency and dominion does not refer in here to a perfect infallible leadership, but rather a leadership where the people are judged for their actions; hence the statement: “that He (Allah) may see how ye behave.”
Thus, the placement of “Imaamah” in the hands of the Children of Israel in this Verse is similar to the dominion and leadership that Allah may bestow upon any people after rescuing them from their oppressors. It cannot refer to a special form of Imaamah simply because the population as a whole is granted this Imaamah, and they are responsible for the good and bad actions they commit once they are placed under this position.
Furthermore, the Israelites were promised leadership so long as they perservered with patience and had faith in Allah’s communications. Thus, their leadership was contingent on fulfilling these two things. According to the Shia, Imamah is a title given to a person at birth and it is not a position that is earned by doing good deeds or showing patience. So why would Allah make the leadership contingent on the behavior of these individuals? Clearly these two verses do not conform to the Shia doctrine of Imamah, and the authentic Shia Tafseer do not attempt to use these verses to refer to the doctrine of Infallible Imamah.
The whole of Shia is based on wrong interpretation of al Quran and fraudulent Ahadeeth.

I was born into an Iraqi Shia family and I can confirm I have no idea what Shiaism even is. What I do know is Allah (SWT) forbade sects so how about we remove these labels and just refer to ourselves as Muslims and servants of Allah (SWT)?

First, she killed her own husband; the Prophet ( S ) by poisoning.
Second, she left her home. She failed to consider the clear Quranic command ... and [ you; wives of the Prophet ] stay in your homes

Instead, she went out, built an army of thousands of people.
For what ! To feed the orphans.
The aftermath, no less than fifteen thousand Muslims dead, with all kind of problems that came with it.
Thirdly, she failed to consider the clear Quranic command ; ...and [ you ; wives of the Prophet ] do not put makeup, the makeup of the pre Islamic [ era ] و لا تبرجن تبرج الجاهلية الأولى ...
Instead, she uncovered, put makeup and led an army with all kind of meetings, conference and decision making like the NEW QUEEN OF SHEBA. And she married herself to her cousin; Talha... by MARRYING someone other than the Prophet ( S ) she crossed another red line...
Fourthly, she was the first person who shot arrows at the body of Imam Al-hassan. When the holy grandson of the holy Prophet ( S ), was murdered / martyred by poisoning [ by his wife Ju'dah. ] his brother, Imam Al-hussein took his funeral to the Prophet's tomb for a " farewell " . A request from Imam Al-hasan just before he passed.
'Aisha heard the news. She came over rushing. She was riding one of Marwan ibn Al-hakam's considerable lifestock , a mule .
She was so furious and agitated.
She didn't want them to come near the Prophet's tomb because THE TOMB WAS IN HER PROPERTY.
Long story short, she shot an arrow at the body of Imam Al-hasan a.s.
Next arrow was shot by Marwan ibn Al-hakam.
More and more arrows and spears hit the holy body of the Prophet's grandson...until it became like a porcupine.

Yes, you are right. The Prophet of Islam, Mohammed Peace and Blessings be upon him and his Ahlilbait said something like that. He said the Jews were divided into 71 groups, the Nasara / Christians were divided into 72 groups and the Muslims would be divided into 73 groups... only one group would go to paradise. That will be the group that follows the holy Qur'an and 'Itrati Ahlilbaiti. عترتي أهل بيتي.
It is just because of that trouble maker Anas ibn Malik, one of three major liars/ narrators of hadiths. He changed the term 'Itrati with sunnah. He said 'trah IS sunnah. عترة = سنة.
The Prophet ( S ) had said that many times in different occasions.
* إني تارك فيكم الثقلين كتاب الله و عترتي أهل بيتي أذكركم الله في أهل بيتي *

For the two of them will never separate from one another until they meet me at the pool in paradise *.
When you say sunnah, you're talking about any thing that was said, done or approved by the Prophet ( S ). How are you going to determine / define / confirm that this or that idea was from the Prophet Mohammed Peace and Blessings be upon him and his Ahlilbait. It needs a solid ground to prove it. That will be his successor Ali ibn Abi Talib a.s. the prince / commander of the faithfuls. No one else. Imam Hassan then Imam Hussein a,s, the masters of the youth of paradise. The Ahlulbait are the core of Islam. They are the guardians of the faith of Islam. No one else.

@@khalidbinwaleed5072 We curse Umar and Abu Bakr for a reason. We don't pick and choose who we curse. For example we curse Umar because he killed the Prophets daughter along with Abu Bakr. We don't like Umar that much, because he ran away from battles. We also don't like Abu Bakr because he refused to give Fadak to Fatima, when the Fadak was hers. Which is why Fatima was angry with Abu Bakr months before her death, and didn't even speak with him. If you recall Prophet even mentions that whoever makes Fatima angry, makes me angry. There's many more reasons, but it would take ages to discuss.

1. Qumi in his tafsir, “Tafsir Qumi” narrates from Abi Abdullah:
“When the prophet (sws) was in the cave, he (sws) said to Abu Bakr (ra), “I see the ship of jaffar in the river with his companions. And likewise i see the ansar. Abubakr (ra) asked can i also see? The prophet (sws) said , “yes”. Abubakr asked how? The prophet did masah with his hands on abubakr’s eyes. Thus, abubakr saw what the prophet saw. Then, the prophet turned to abubakr and said, “You are siddique.”

2. Abdul azeem hassani narrates from Ali bin mohammad bin Ali al riza and he narrates from his father and granfather and they narrated from Hassan bin Ali (ra) that the prophet (sws) said:
“ Abu bakr is beloved to me to the level of hearing, Umar to the level of sight and Uthman to the level of heart.”

3. Imam Reza (ra) was asked about the prophetic hadith, “My companions are like stars. Whomever you refer to, you’ll be guided.” Imam said, “This hadith is weak, but its meaning is inshallah correct.”
Then he was asked about another prophetic hadith, “Leave my companions to myself. Do not annoy them. Do not slander them”. Imam (ra) said, “Its authentic.”

Aisha was the dearest of the wives of the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) to him, as was reported from him in al-Bukhaari and elsewhere. You are right, br. Sheikh dr whoever you are. Many of Shia Muslims who were Shia by heritage do not know what shi'ism is. They end up by falling for any form of spirituality. It doesn't matter they become nasrani / CHRISTIANS, " Sunni wahhabi ", " Sunni salafi ", " Sunni ikhwani " ( in relation with Muslim brotherhood ) or actually go atheists. Many reasons can be involved in this matter. Ignorance is one of them. Poverty, politics, migration ... or a combination of some or all these factors.
I myself in the west. I have been there and done that. Back home, I used to be a social worker. I was " Sunni " Muslim pro Muslim brotherhood .

Hadhrath Ali narrates in Tafsir Durre Mansur, Volume 6 page 379 (Cairo edition) “Have you not heard this verse:
“Their reward from their Lord shall be everlasting gardens, below which flow rivers, they will abide there forever”? This verse refers to you and your Shi’a, I promise you that I will meet you at the Fountain of Kawthur”.

3. Did Ayesha and Mu'wiyah accept hazrat Ali as their rightful caliph at the time or what?
4. In the light of sura 33 verse 33, we are told that Ayesha is included as one of members of the ahlulbayt. If this is true, then what would one say about one member of the ahlulbayt waging a war against another member of the ahlulbayt? The holy Prophet said that his ahlulbayt are his flesh and blood.

I am sorry, but your understanding is based on either ; language barriers, meaning you are not able to read the Quranic text. THEREFORE, you don't know the difference between masculine and feminine terms. One part of the verse addresses the wives with clear exclusive feminine terms because all the wives are females.
The other part is totally different. It addresses the Ahlulbait a.s. with the masculine terms. Simply, because the Ahlulbait are Males and one female. The rule in the Arabic language is that any number of females + ( even ) one male , the term goes with masculine.
The other reason for your claim is that you are blinded by love for the wives of the Prophet ( S ). In that case, you should read with your brain besides your eyes.

This video is unequivically wrong which is sad because I would assume that someone who is learned in the deen wouldn't just perform tekfir on a large scale without the proper reasons. As a Shia myself, I would like to clarify why it is I am a Muslim. According to the Quran, Allah Taala decrees that "The believing men and believing women are allies of one another. They enjoin what is right and forbid what is wrong and establish prayer and give zakāh and obey Allāh and His Messenger. Those - Allāh will have mercy upon them. Indeed, Allāh is Exalted in Might and Wise."(Surat Tawbah verse 71). By this very definition I am a believer and qualify as a Muslim. All shias who understand the faith would qualify here. As for the point that the sheikh raises about cursing the sahaba/Ayesha and that anyone who would do this being a kafir, this is not something that is backed up by the Quran. Personally I wouldn't curse dead ppl, since they are dead and to heal the ummah this practice should be put to rest however, sahaba used to curse each other, everyone likes to think that it was roses and sunshine after the prophet's(PBUH) death but it was not. From an academic perspective to keep things objective, we as shia have strong reservations about people like Ayesha, Abu Bakr, Omar, and Uthman not because of some personal hatred(again they are dead there is no point) but because of their actions that were later on whitewashed or worse omitted from Sunni historic sources entirely. But that is besides the point. Really I just want my Sunni brothers to understand why this sheikh is wrong to do tekfir and further sow discontent and hatred among the ummah. whether or not we agree on the status or relevance religiously speaking on ppl who have long died is a separate issue and can only take place once we understand each other thoroughly.

Fatima (r) wasn’t an ordinary woman, she was also a wife of Ali (r). And, yes, it’s also true that she had problems with Umayyads regarding inheritance issues of prophet Muhammad(pbuh). But, it’s not meant that she and Ali (r) was super weak against Umayyads.
Ali (r) was expecting the khilafah because he was not only son in law of prophet Muhammad (pbuh) but also a descendant of Hashemite family. Though, for some reasons, Abu bakar (r) had to be caliph (as the ansar tribes of medina wanted to take back the power in their hand after prophet (saw) dead. But, umar (r), after judging the situation, quickly declared Abu bakar (r) as a caliph, as of a senior citizen, to get obedience from ansar groups of madina.
Ali (r) also understood the situations. That’s why, Ali (r) had good relations with the family of Abu bakar & umar (r) too in later.

Believing in Allah (swt) loving his prophet (saww), the wives of the prophet(saww), the ahlulbayt and the sahabas ( RA wa AS ajmaeen) is the way to be a complete Muslim (a momin). What happened that day Allah knows best, and the misunderstanding that lead to the unfortunate death of the prophets daughter (pbuh) will be held accountable on the day judgement because Allah(swt ) is the most Just. So giving fatwas on the sahabas for one mistake they have done is not correct, it's wrong. Be a Muslim not a sunni or Shia
