When it's very cold, my old vehicle likes a bit of warm up time, mainly the transmission is too cold otherwise.
Thank you for this. As a Canadian viewer this helps!
Its been a minute since you guys uploaded on this channel love the main channel!
Had to come subscribe! Love your show!
I would love a part 2 of this video focused on track scenarios
Excellent information! Thank you!
The owners manual for my vehicle states 5w30 is the preferred oil year round, but if outside temp is above 0F 10w30 can be used. It also recommends using full synthetic 5w30 or 0w30 if the outside temp will get down to -22. Used a 0w30 one year, but not too impressed by it, so been using 5w30 ever since, full synthetic. Guessing a synthetic blend would work well as I don't think the blends were really a thing 20 years ago when my vehicle was made.
This was a fantastic informative video
Changing viscosities for hot & cold seasons? Why did nobody mention 0w30 for all seasons?
This was some useful info
Clearly this guy is so scared to admit that you can stray away from the owners manual recommended viscosities.
Truth is manufacturers are held by law to conform to CAFE /EPA fuel economy laws that's the ONLY reason for 0w8, 0w16, 0w20 ...
The exact same engine in other countries call for higher viscosities such as 5w30, 10w30, and so on .
I run 5w30 in my Toyota engine that calls for 0w16 . It runs so much quieter and smoother .
Dnt agree what this guy is sayjng
