The shed is looking a world better. It might be worth looking at if you can find a solar light kit just to get some light above the feed passage at night
We had shed rented last year like that lights were there but no power so got am electrician easy option bought an extra big led bar light put that on top over door brought a wire from it and a plug just plug into back of tractor or van when needed same as plugging in trailer lights
Good stuff Phil surely do appreciation the in-depth explanation, i am confident your decisions will be properly decided upon especially with your fathers encouragement and guidance. you will do well.
Great job on the shed Phil theirs one thing the water pipe might be better if it was on the top bar of the gate because the cattle might chew on it where it is Really enjoyed the video as always looking forward to the next one
That shed will tidy up nicely I understand the work involved in sheds that age I will spend the winter feeding in one built in the 60s that has 55pens in it with chain scrapers under the slats originally silage fed from 100 foot high towers
I would try to hide the water pipe a bit better or maybe move the drinkers near the aisle. I think young cattle will pull and chew on that where it is.
Ye will be bet on feed space if you expect to put 60 head in there yas should think about knocking out the back wall next the silage pit and put in feed barriers seeing there is concrete along it
Grate video 📹 Phil as always and oul boss there working hard to wise oul man ur father 👨 I was disappointed didn't meet him in ploughing do maybe next time 😢 kind regards from a wexford viewer down near ned Murphy s country, an where ur yellow 1200 was only half mile down road from me for a year or to in field off scrap true story that.
You seriously put in some random timber as barriers after investing into nice new concrete floors? You must be joking! Tell Father Phill to get the barb wire out of his pockets and invest properly.😎
Bro is turning into a big lad, has he finished his farming education yet, without doubt he will be an asset to the farm, looking forwards to seeing him in more posts you put on each day.
It's doing the same job. Why would you be running to the local builder merchant to throw you're money away. These boys are operating a cattle business which is a low margin business and making a success where many have failed. Money was made for minding not spending.
The shed looks good Phil and done in time for the weather turning, cattle should be happy in there,

Use sika 4A to seal the leaks. It comes in a 5gallon drum you mix it with cement.
What a good job on an old shed well done
Tink better off using shed for your calves than stores cos of having to move feed over there
The cattle will fill the drinkers with shite😅
Terrible place for the drinkers, they’ll be full of dung 24/7.

Father phil will sort shed out
Would be worth getting a solar panel flood light for the shed they are a mighty job €70
The water seeping in the tank was so you can agitate the slurry easier without drawing heaps of water in 😂
Cheap amazon solar panels lights might do for inside shed
Fantastic job, phil. How many head of cattle have you got at the moment.
Are you going to repair the tin work on the sides and roof that would tidy it up great video again farmer Phil
The new pens look good Phil, you are doing good. Xx
Great job Phil but will cattle not chew them pipes
Why was the centre passage left so high or the tank lower when is was built?
You could use up the old slats in the foundation of the floor of your new machinery shed, just a thought ,, 👍
Where did u get the slats phil?
Another great video Phil
I have to admit I've never seen slats like that apart from in the dung passage in cubicle houses, do the cattle keep clean
Great video Phil
Is the water seeping in because of the repeated bogs beside u
The roof of the shed looks alittle worse for ware, will it need some work done on it...
Nice one Phil
No mats?

Congratulations at Making a New Shed Philip

Whats the song in the video 4:00
Stagger your calf rearing next season. You ll end up with a flow of finishing cattle all year round.
Great job Phil best of luck in the shed
What's the story with the roof, if you get a storm it will be gone
survived up till now ........
@@georgedoorley5628 every storm will weaken it further too
Nice looking shed now cattle will love that

They were there before him he just put them back in
If you listened closely to what Phil said it’s not there shed it’s rented…there hardly going to spend thousands tidying up another man’s shed 😄
Good luck 😊
Bet the farmer that owns it is chuffed he found a couple mugs to spend the money and in a few year he will get all the good of it
Bro is turning into a big lad, has he finished his farming education yet, without doubt he will be an asset to the farm, looking forwards to seeing him in more posts you put on each day.
He’s training to be a teacher, it’ll suit him perfectly, he’ll get very well paid for doing SFA.
Id be letting in more air with the low roof ...knock a course or 2 off the back walls ... incase of pneumonia..
Solar lights go good.
Other option is led lights and a generator will run them handy
Phil it is fine looking shed now
A bit to mild for housing cattle
Great video Phil. Enjoyed watching. 👍🏼👍🏼
Evening!
Drinkers on gate could be a bit higher, other than that ,great job done
😂😂😂
Looks fantastic

Ah Jesus lads are times that tough would ye in the proper timber 6 b 3 or 9 b 3

Timber to do that job is very expensive as he would have needed Douglas no point putting in spruce gone rotten in 2-3 years
He could almost of used the old singles slats in place of the timber
@@cecilbates5423True that,Consaw them to the right height,do rightly🤔
I think he is too committed.
U could put some lights up and use a generator to power de lights
why
@salmonhunter7414 Incase they need to do some work with de cattle when it's dark
👍👍🙏🙏👌👌💪💪🇮🇪🇮🇪
