    Hi Brendan. I discovered your channel a week ago, and man, am I enjoying it. I have some hopes and dreams for the future. And you definitely ignited it for me again with you realising your dreams. I now it can not be easy doing what you do ever day. But just know, you’re way better off than most of us who are just dreaming and not doing like you.

    Hi! Great video! You must visit Wat Pha Lat, another temple, less touristic and kind of hidden, in the same road you did. It is different, amazing and starling!

    Hey Brendan, about 2-3 weeks ago, there were some clouds/fogs right on top of the pagoda, and the lights were reflected by those fogs given super cool scene. You might need to find some time to visit again. Another place you might be interested, there is another temple calls 'Wat Pha Lat' located on the same road (you can see it on google map). It has waterfall running through the middle of the temple.
    Oh, I forget something. I don't know how it applies to foreigners, but the government recently issued a law that all drones have to be registered to be allowed to fly in the country, and there's also a no flying zone around every airports, which, for CNX airport, is basically covered the entire city center. So I do not recommend to fly drone around here if you don't have permission.

    Good video on how to photograph a Thai temple.
    I meaning to ask you Brendan, the L bracket you use on your 6D. When you flip it in to portrait potion. Is the bracket able to fit a manfrotto quick release Base plate ?

    I'm thinking like most places it was best to see Thailand back in the 60's....also i think back then traveling was much more adventurous.........Good luck Brendan, i'm sure there are still some unspoiled places on this planet....really enjoy your perspective.

    Stick a set of hair clippers on this months Octopus, you can do your own haircut whenever you want :-) Seriously though, the nights shots at the temple with all that gold lit up are gorgeous. Great video again

    Have you looked into The Elephant Nature Park while you're staying in Chiang Mai? It's an Elephant Conservation camp that rescues Elephants from a working background. The lady who runs the project, Lek Chailert is an incredible woman for the work she does. Basically it's a place where Elephants are free to roam the grounds and you watch them go about their day, there's a couple of touristy interactions like feeding and bathing them but on the whole it's mostly viewing.
    You mentioned in a previous video not to ride elephants while in Thailand (and massive kudos for that) but maybe you could also raise the profile of places like The Elephant Nature Park for a good way to see Elephants while in Thailand.

      Totally agree with you, my wife and I went there a few years ago, we stayed overnight, fed them, took them down to the waters edge to bath them and also went on an elephant walk, one of the best experiences of our lives, a must do when in Chang Mai, the food was good as well, I bought Lek's cookery book, because the food was so good.

      Yep exact same as me and the girlfriend although wasn't aware of a cookbook! The food was fantastic.

    Ya know it’s almost worth having a decoy camera set up. You stay with the decoy and pretend to be shooting the other way, meanwhile your shooting camera is set up and do a remote shutter. The people that see you shooting at something will always go to that spot to see what you are seeing. They will be distracted by that and you can get your shot the other way. LOL but it works. I’ve done the fake out. Sheeple.

      Hahha, that's genius! Except I'd need to pack even more gear. lol

    • @zeballos5757
      @zeballos5757 7 лет назад

      Brendan van Son Brendan you could pack a plastic camera and no one would know the difference. Just make it look like there’s some big deal going on and voila! Another time I had a scene all lined up and there was a bird sitting sort of middle left side of the scene on a branch, I was all poised to take the shot and of course someone came walking up, I quickly pointed up in the air (friend with me) the person stopped dead in their tracks to look and click! Lol! 😬

      Morocco is amazing for sure. The markets with all the colors, smells, foods, and people moving about almost seems like chaos, but it is totally normal. I am smiling thinking of our time cycling through Morocco. :-)
