I love your bike and you have really good energy...You understand the understated, sutle old school look. I wouldn't do my bike the same.If i were to do a project like yours, i would want your expertise ....Fantastic Paint... What kind of Doctor???? Be well God bless you,Enjoy...Thank you .
The air cleaner/filter is from Boyle custom moto…he doesn’t make them anymore. For something similar checkout trident cycle supply. Not sure on my jet size, been a long time since I jetted this thing
Man I grimace every time I see someone not running a decent filter element on there bikes. It’s not the “big stuff” that’s the worry, it’s the fine invisible stuff floating around in the air…think of the grit that gets in our eyes when not wearing eye protection, that same grit gets sucked straight into the barrels and is like sandpaper on the bores & pistons…it’s called dusting the pistons. Some filter oil on the foam element like the dirt bike riders use should be used when running a basic foam filter…ok, rant over, thanks for the vlogs Doc…love the Shovel.
Nice clean lines on that bike. Looks well cared for. 👍
Thanks!!
Awesome scoot, good to know there is more of us shovel owners in Naples, other than Chopper Dave there is only a few of us
Hahah yeah!! If you have instagram give me a follow and we can connect there @mikemerkt
I had an SU carb on my 85 fxst years ago that had the exact same round air filter screen set up with the foam. Loved that carb.. Brings back memories.
Nice!!! I had an SU for my long pink bike but with me having longer legs I couldn’t run it, my shin slammed right into it
Shovels are wicked cool.
I agree!!
Good lookin scoot. Nice lope to her. ✌️
Appreciate that! Got the idle just right 👌🏼
Just came across your channel. Love your bike. I subscribed, and now going back to see what all you did to it. Peace ✌

Try using 450 honda exhaust gaskets. They are a cooper ring and work well on shovels.
I’ll check that out, thanks for the tip!
is that a lowbrow wx split gas tank ?? looks cool !
Correct! Thank you
Can you tell me the type of air filter you use. Also what size pilot jet do you run.

Would you post the name of the chrome shop that you use?
The guy I’ve used in the past (Ronster Ron) passed away but I’ve also used Badger plating in Milwaukee.
😎👍😎
What type of carb do you use
sorry for the delay, S&S Super E
Can you show how you ha e mounted the carb to the manifold. Shovels use Keihns Butterflies carb. I think you should have some type of adapter.
@@ricardobooker1704 google search s&s super e Shovelhead intake manifold
It's not a dirt bike so I wouldn't worry about that air filter. Got something similar on an old sportster i have and it works fine
Understandable for sure

For sure! I put a coat of filter oil on my filter before I put everything back together
