DCS World WWII Dogfight compilation

- Just some dogfight clips with the BF-109K4, FW-190D9 and the Spitfire LF Mk. IX.
I decided to do a dogfight compilation instead of a kill compilation because I like it more when I can see the whole engagement than just a burst and then a dead plane...
There are six clips in this video with Furballs, Turnfights, Boom & Zoom and other things in it, a few of the things you can encounter (sorry for potato-ish aim)
Hope you enjoy - Игры
Legend has it that Karl is still “achtung! Hein feindliche fludzeuge uber unseren truppen in ZQ69 erkannt”-ing.
true, switch off pls.
*goes through tree, perfectly fine
salad shooter
war thunder is not even close to realsism to this
i am a warthunder player but i have to agree with u.
In War Thunder his wings would have torn off the second he tried to do a dive
He hit a tree and didnt lose his prop, you touch a tree in war thunder then you lose your wing and your temper
War thunder is not a simulation but still is 10 times more fun, beautiful and playable than this
Kentoto warthunder is not as fun as this game it brings a whole other level to plane fighting sims
In order of realism id say war thunder is at the bottom, il-2 is in the middle (in terms of flight model, the damage model on the other hand i personally feel is better in il-2), and dcs world is just reminding veterans of their ptsd
I'm a big WW2 SIM fan and have spent a lot of time and a reasonable amount of money on IL2 in its many guises and was pleasantly surprised when I tried DCS; beautiful graphics and a really well put together game which is very immersive but Boy oh Boy, be prepared to have very deep pockets ! i really wanted to play a Korean based game with F86s and Mig 15s. But 40 quid per plane and you'd also need to buy the map !! Millionaire row prices guys ! If you really want to attract a new generation of flight simmers, put the prices within reach of people. I'll be flying the free P51 for now in the hope that DCS might think about lowering their eye-watering prices.
Takes a lot of work to model these planes to such a level of fidelity. Plus they’re constantly being updated.
holy shit I did not belive I will ever see someone who keeps the ball in the middle
is that some kind of perk at 7:13 ?! or is it deutsch neo controling messerschmitt ? "there are no trees. just like the spoon-trick"
That's normal in DCS 1.5. The trees are not collidable in this version.
DLC trees lol
NORMAL
What texture mod are you using for the terrain?
Razor, what's the specifications of your hardware setup? I'm hoping to play DCS at max 1080p or higher as smoothly as your video demonstrates. Thanks.
Maximus VII Ranger, 4790K @ 4.00 Ghz, ASUS GTX 1070 O8G, 16 GB non-oc RAM, 250 and 500 GB SAMSUNG EVO 850 SSD, 2TB HDD, Win 10 64-bit
Razor | Thanks for the specs. Mine are lower. I have a Razer Blade 14 (2017) i7-7700HQ (2.8GHz-3.8GHz), GTX 1060 (6GB DDR5), 16GB 2400MHz DDR4, 512GB PCIe NVME 2.0 SSD, UHD display. I don't plan to play at 4K, only 1080p. Eventually, I'll probably go for the Razer Core V2 eGPU w/ GTX 1080ti over TB3, but I was hoping to tinker with DCS without the upgrade. Cheers.
what's that gun on the right side of the cockpit? Is that a flare gun?
Yes, a flare gun
I'm thinking about getting a second ww2 fighter and I already have the P-51. I am thinking the BF-109. Any suggestions?
Depends on what you are interested in.
If you want an easy airplane, go for the germans (K4 mostly air combat, A8 good at ground pounding, D9 somewhere inbetween)
If you want a bit more complex one, an allied fighter is for you.
Spitfire for air combat, P47 for good ground attack, I16 for the fun.
How do you have such good eyesight? I constantly lose sight of the Spitfires.
Training, Training and even more training.
But spotting in DCS is a known problem.
@@Razor_Sim is this being played with vr or something?
Nope, no VR involved in any of the clips here.
@@Razor_Sim
is it ir tracking?
I use to play IL-2 and never could figure out how to "look" through the reticle, always thought you had to have ir tracking.
Yes it is IR tracking.
You don't necessarely need it but it's really helpful. Usually, the default view shoulf be placed directly behind the reticle. If not, you should be able to move the POV there or use snapviews.
No better than Jane's WWII Fighters 1999
What is the server?
Ridiculous… flies like an UFO
how does one see the planes from far away? its literally a pixel at that point. how can you see that?
I wonder if the new Il2 series is more or less realistic than this
Depends on which aspect.
Damage model (right now) is better/more realistic
Flight model ? Maybe, maybe not
Historically correct vehicles and planes, probably.
what is the server called?
Burning Skies
What kind of plane is that?
Which one?
It's FW190 Focke-Wulf 190
Erich Schneider it’s not a FW-190, however it does appear to be a variant of a late war BF-109, possibly a K-4
Razor the plane you were riding
7:13 & 18:09 through the trees? I was sure you’d hit one.
On what server is this ?
predattak burning skies wwii server
ACHTUNG!!!!!!!
Чувак мазахист, слушать это сообщение постоянно🤦♂️ его ведь можно выключить
*Achtung*
07:12 NOT REALISTIC
Thats annoying as *uck hearing that robotic voice repeating itself over and over again.
il2 is better
If you say so...
indeed I do sir and indeed it is
I play both, il2 is more accessible dcs has everything
I prefer the better flight model, however it does have a really good damage model so credit where credits due
Il2 is boring war thunder with 2001 graphics engine. DCS is a flight simulator...Eat that sucker
Just get battlefield this shit is boring
I rather stick to something in which I get my fun and adrenaline than some game I'm not interested in
Razor each to their own I guess
War thunder is better
Infernal Sam if you say so...
Just keep in mind that dcs is a simulator and war thunder, even though it has a game mode called simulator battles in it, is nowhere near that.
War Thunder Sucks compared to this
I have to agree with infernal sam. War Thunder is much better for dogfighting. DCS World is if you want the full technical realism.
dude u realise that there is a Sim Mode where you pretty much have to use a joystick.
I think they realize that dude, but I play WT, and DCS is at a whole other level than WT (simulator wise). Every button and lever on the airplanes in DCS are functional. This is not the case for WT.
