Hey Jeffrey, Thanks so much and we hope you get into some JUMBOS like Big Shrive got that day. All the best to you as you get out and thanks for the support.
Thanks Jeff and we hope you get out there as well and catch some trout. Good base layer goes a long way. Also some food on the steam will keep ya warm. All the best to you.
Awesome video. Love the snow coming down. Big Shrive...you are as cool as a cucumber. "He ain't lyin"...my favorite line of the video. Can't wait to see your next one. Keep on keepin on folks.
Ha ha, he never sweats under the pressured of a jumbo hooked. I was wondering who would pick up on him admitting he jumped in front of me to catch that one! All the best to you as you get out and thanks for following along.
Great vid. You guys got me and my daughter into Nymphing 7 years ago and I've bought alot of tying material from your website. Love what you guys are about. Keep the vids comming plz.
Doesn't get any better than a great day on the stream in a nice snowfall. My buddy and i hit yellow creek Saturday in the snow and had a day of memories. Great companionship, caught some beautiful brownies, ate some hoagies by the fire and smoked some cigars. Days like those are what life is all about. Great seeing you guys making memories and living the dream. Tight lines and keep up the great work. 😊
I’ve had success getting my rod tip as high as I can when a big fish goes downstream on me. I get the rod up and then try to move downstream of the fish. If you keep your rod low and makes a low angle allowing the barbless hook to pop out. A high rod angle helps to keep the hook imbedded in the jaw. Fun video to watch!
I loved the video completely, beautiful fish. I just have a crazy question. What kind of net keeping system do you have. I've never seen anything like that and would love to try it.
Whats your go to knot for the dropper? Dbl, trpl surgeons , orvis tippet or figure 8, etc., would you use it on steelhead ? Thanx and great video once again!
Hey Rich, Big Shrive and I (Benny P) use the figure 8 and it is holding some large fish for us and it is easy to tie as well. Hope that helps and all the best to you as you get out.
We have enjoyed them for years. Big Shrive is trying some Orvis Waders next, but Dryfts have done us well. Orvis gear in general has been great for us as well so we are exploring their waders soon.
Yep, and we watch the sighter and try to see the strike before we feel it. At our age the reactions can be a bit slower than a younger fisher so at times we do feel the strike and when keeping the line super tight in the faster water you will feel the strike. The faster the water the tighter we keep the line. Hope that helps and all the best to you as you get out Matt!
Big Shrive with the tank of a fish!! I really enjoy the video content you guys put out! I also love the flies and products you sell! Cheers fella’s!!!
Hey Jeffrey, Thanks so much and we hope you get into some JUMBOS like Big Shrive got that day. All the best to you as you get out and thanks for the support.

Can't wait to get back to PA.
How do you guys like the D waders. Thinking about grabbing a pair
Highly recommend them for the colder months. Little too warm for temps above 60 degrees. Their wading pants are perfect for the summer months though
We have enjoyed them for years. Big Shrive is trying some Orvis Waders next, but Dryfts have done us well. Orvis gear in general has been great for us as well so we are exploring their waders soon.
@@DSab0624I got their jacket too. Cold wet days are no prob.
Is there a video on the Reddog cdc caddies / how to tye it?
Not yet, but we will hopefully get one out as soon as we can. All the best to you as you get out on the water chasing trout.
Big Schrive ....you ROCK!!!
Thanks Robert and we hope you get out and get some fish along with some stream side snacks soon.
Naive question but are you euro jumping? How do you know if you got a strike? Sight and or feel? Thanks
