    Doesn't get any better than a great day on the stream in a nice snowfall. My buddy and i hit yellow creek Saturday in the snow and had a day of memories. Great companionship, caught some beautiful brownies, ate some hoagies by the fire and smoked some cigars. Days like those are what life is all about. Great seeing you guys making memories and living the dream. Tight lines and keep up the great work. 😊

    I’ve had success getting my rod tip as high as I can when a big fish goes downstream on me. I get the rod up and then try to move downstream of the fish. If you keep your rod low and makes a low angle allowing the barbless hook to pop out. A high rod angle helps to keep the hook imbedded in the jaw.
    Fun video to watch!

    Whats your go to knot for the dropper? Dbl, trpl surgeons , orvis tippet or figure 8, etc., would you use it on steelhead ?
    Thanx and great video once again!

    • @living4theoutdoors
      @living4theoutdoors  18 дней назад

      Hey Rich, Big Shrive and I (Benny P) use the figure 8 and it is holding some large fish for us and it is easy to tie as well. Hope that helps and all the best to you as you get out.

    How do you guys like the D waders. Thinking about grabbing a pair

    • @DSab0624
      @DSab0624 18 дней назад +2

      Highly recommend them for the colder months. Little too warm for temps above 60 degrees. Their wading pants are perfect for the summer months though

    • @living4theoutdoors
      @living4theoutdoors  18 дней назад

      We have enjoyed them for years. Big Shrive is trying some Orvis Waders next, but Dryfts have done us well. Orvis gear in general has been great for us as well so we are exploring their waders soon.

    Naive question but are you euro jumping? How do you know if you got a strike? Sight and or feel? Thanks

    • @living4theoutdoors
      @living4theoutdoors  13 дней назад +1

      Yep, and we watch the sighter and try to see the strike before we feel it. At our age the reactions can be a bit slower than a younger fisher so at times we do feel the strike and when keeping the line super tight in the faster water you will feel the strike. The faster the water the tighter we keep the line. Hope that helps and all the best to you as you get out Matt!
