Hey, could you please do one video after deploying ubuntu through maas how do we certify the hardware? Packages and where we can execute the tests, whole one video can you please make it?
Hi, it would be similar to this one. The certification test cases would be the same. You have to run it on your hardware. If everything passed then submit your hardware to Canonical for certification. If it fails, then you have to resolve it before applying for certification.
Hi, thanks for replying. I wanted to know about the procedure for the certification. Like installing the packages, adding the links, proxy settings, apt-key, adding hardware and firmware keys.. for the beginners it will help a lot. So that we will have a check-list for certification, after deploying the OS to certify-20.04 command.
@@Kavya_Ian if you need a laptop with complete packages installed, try the Lenovo ThinkPad. It comes with preloaded OS and drivers. No more software headaches.
Yeah, but I am working on the certification side. Ubuntu is a new learning, I faced some challenges while configuring the server, so I checked whether we can see it from scratch.
@@Kavya_Ian Usually the dependencies made the configuration harder. And sometimes no binary yet available to install. In that case, you have to clone source code from GitHub and compile them yourself.
