It literally looks 1000000x better than the big ben who of you come to think of it isnt even big compared to this😂 and saying why you need a clock tower in mecca is like saying why do you need the big Ben in London
And btw it research more purpose than the Big Ben cuz people can stay at the hotel and shop in the shopping malls pray in the block tower cuz sometimes the entire mosque is full and so much more.
While the big Ben literally serves no purpose than a clock which you can't even go in

To be there in masjid al haram every human must have to adopt the process of purification and majority of non muslims don't use water to purify themselves after urinating and defacating...
Hence they are prohibited to enter the holy cities and cantonment areas of islam..
It's not discrimination we muslims belive that God is one pure from face or shape so anyone who firmly believes in that and accept it can visit it
