    Your awesome m8. Not only do you teach people how to do stuff without forcing people to pay(which is amazing in of itself) but you tell people why you do that, which help people create mat/PBR's all by themselves

    For Mixing 2 nodes: You can also use "CTRL-SHIFT Right Click on the first node" and than drag and drop the green line on the "second node".

    Hi Ryan your mushroom tutorial series sparked an idea in my head an I made a film and I am going to submit it to a film festival when I am done I was wondering if you would like me to give you credit because I made the mushroom scene from your tutorial series and great videos as usual!

    • @RyanKingArt
      @RyanKingArt  2 года назад +2

      Thanks! You can credit my tutorial if you'd like to, but I don't require that you have to. Its totally optional. Although, you might want to change up your result, and make it looks somewhat different them mine, because there are lots of people who do the same tutorial, resulting in similar looking art. So you might want to change yours up a bit just so its more unique. Just an idea. Also, do you know if the film festival allows tutorial results in there submissions? You might want to read over the submission rules to make sure that's fine. : )

      @@RyanKingArt I figured It out. Since I'm running on a 4k screen under Render Properties>Performance>Viewport>Pixel Size was set to automatic which is x2 meaning the viewport was half the resolution. I set that to 1x and now the viewport is crisp and detailed.

    I have a problem with texture baking things, whenever I texture bake and turn the baked texture into an image, when I zoom out, seams start appearing, they look like black lines, is there anyway to hide the seams without using texture painting or using photoshop, I’ve asked someone this question on a separate social media/platform, they suggested photoshop and I don’t wanna buy photoshop just to fix a problem, and I do not want to use texture paint on my texture as it won’t look appealing no more. Is there anyway to fix this in blender itself?

    • @HerobrineHunt3r
      @HerobrineHunt3r 2 года назад +2

      I think this was a thing called UV padding or mip mapping. A way to solve this is maybe increase the bleed pixel amount when baking so the baked texture islands spread out more and cover up the seams
      edit: the setting is actually called the 'Margin' in the 'Output' submenu of the Bake drop-down menu.

    • @omg_squid6949
      @omg_squid6949 2 года назад +2

      @@HerobrineHunt3r How can I increase the bleed pixel amount? BTW thanks for replying.

    • @RyanKingArt
      @RyanKingArt  2 года назад +2

      I sometimes have this problem as well. I'd like to figure out a solution to this, and then maybe make a video on it.

      @@RyanKingArt THANK YOU SO MUCH!

    • @HerobrineHunt3r
      @HerobrineHunt3r 2 года назад +1

      @@omg_squid6949 Ah i think the setting was actually called the 'Margin', which is in the Output tab of the Bake dropdown menu in Cycles.
      I think the UV seams show up from a distance because I assume, the texture is sort of 'crunched' from a distance and doesn't fill it completely.
      I don't know about the technical side of that sort of stuff - but by increasing the margin in the bake settings, the baked texture islands will spread out more and it should fix the issue.

    How does the order of the bump nodes affect the final result?

    • @RyanKingArt
      @RyanKingArt  2 года назад

      I'm not sure exactly how it does, but I know that it does. I've seen it change its look when I add different bump maps together in different orders.

    • @Erik-pt2yw
      @Erik-pt2yw Год назад

      @@RyanKingArt I'm looking for an explanation on this topic for very while, my guesses are that bump just "adds" value from normal input, so on high values it seems to have shading issues because it's either higher 1 or less 1, but I don't really know what's going on when you change the order, please let us know if you find out this precious secret of those bumps
