I had no idea this occurred. I saw Steven plenty of times, and at the Albert hall 2 or 3 times as well. Managed to see porcupine tree last year at Wembley too.
A part of me wants to hate on the gear snobbery. But that was my first thought too! 🤣🤣🤣 Them Mapex drums sound awesome tho. I own a lower mid range kit by them and they have this very pronounced aggressive staccato to them I enjoy while I can’t yet afford an SQ2
Man, that Chapman Stick sounds great on the bass line. It must have been an awesome surprise to see Gav come out! I feel so fortunate to have seen PT on their recent tour from right in front of Gavin and Nate.
According to GH himself it nearly killed him (dramatic exaggeration no doubt) playing that kit. Craig has his kit set up pretty extreme and Gav's a much taller chap.
@@ThePCForever not a link as such - I spent an afternoon at his place taking photos for Drumhead Magazine back in 2018 and after we wrapped we spent a couple of hours chatting shit. He makes a good cuppa. And is as nice, and human, as he seems. Absolute star turn he is.
I'm guessing Steven is about 5' 9" (175cm). I didn't realize how tall Gavin is. He has a kid face, I guess, which makes me think he wouldn't be so tall. Love seeing Gavin play with Steven. Nick is awesome, but that voice. It's how I imagine Jordan Peterson sounding if he sang. Sorry.
I get what you’re saying but I enjoy nick’s singing. I find his vocal works well in steven’s music. Bear in mind Lazarus isn’t typically played by steven’s band.
Having the slide guitar going throughout the song, even during the singing, was an odd choice. Bit annoying sounding tbh. Anyhoo, enjoyable listen nonetheless. Gavin's tastefulness was very recognizable even without his chops, because this wasn't a song for that. Thanks for uploading mate. Cheers!
What great musicians! What a song! What a treat!

Wow, Gavin with Mapex kit and Paiste cymbals!

Gavin plays my all time favourite drum fill in this song. The one with the double bass coming out the bridge

Do you have a link to that interview? That's hilarious

Love Steven and PT but I can't help but think that the crowd was disappointed that Lazarus would be the song that Gavin would come out to play. Lol.
Io ero lì grande emozione❤
The song starts at 4:03 ....... How big a mark do you think i am ?
Steven with ABBA-Shirt...................................
Gavin has to be at 20% speed for this song

That's really acurate, I saw Steven once and and for what i couldntell we must be roughly the same height, (i'm 1.76)..How did you figure that Out?
Can barely hear the Chapman...

Clip the first few minutes brah, puh-lease
Nah. You can always choose not to watch it again. Brah.
Why is Gavin not playing as the main drummer anyways? Guest?
Craig Blundell was the drummer on this tour, he guested for one song.
