My favourite ep season 5th's finale when he hallucinates about Cuddy helping him to detox, sleep with him and leave a lipstick in his bathroom. In the end he finds out that it was all an hallucination, the lipstick was a vicodin bottle and he ends up going to the psychiatric hospital at the same time as the Chase and Cameron's wedding is happening.
I think House's Head/Wilson's heart was the only House episode I cried over. And what Wilson said in the episode was right. I didn't like Amber until she was dying. But I cried so hard. Although, I don't think it was over Amber. I think it was seeing Wilson so sad.
@@EphemeralProductions Gotta agree. I was surprised how close her demeanor was to how she is on the show. Usually actors who play baddies go out of their way to dispel that in interviews, but she seemed to lean right into it. Olivia Wilde seems genuinely nice though. The actress who plays Cameron seems smart.
My top 5: 1. Three Stories - The universal pick I guess. The way the story unfolded is genius, funny yet bitter at the same time. 2. House's Head & Wilson's Heart - How can I separate these two? The writing is soo amazing. It's nice to see the casts pick these too. 3. Both Sides Now - The ending scene is so impactful! If the series ended there, and nooo I still loved the following seasons too, but if the series ended there it'd still be perfect. 4. Broken (1/2) - I enjoyed how House befriended Alvie and slowly accepting his condition. I love all the patients, and how they coped through their battle. It's just a long season pilot but it felt so impactful for me. 5. Son of a Coma Guy - Tough pick, and Tritter's saga is stressful for me, but this episode is just too impactful to be skipped. - Honorable mentions: No Reason (the ending twist is genius), Mirror Mirror (because this is soo hilarious lol)
Tritter's saga was indeed the most stressful stretch of the series. Just like House, the audience just wants to forget about Tritter, but Tritter's always a step ahead.
Yeah I saw the episode!! I was surprised lol. Yeah, he got a job in real life at the White House so.. there ya go. Still a great show. I have two seasons left.
Wilson's heart is a good one and the only one I cried like an idiot while watching. I saw the raw feelings in House's eyes while he was hooked up to the deep brain stimulator and the tears streamed down his eyes when he realised Amber's death will destroy his and Wilson's friendship. It's also sad when he admits to Amber he rather die than losing Wilson.
I really love the "All In" episode, where House leaves from the Hospital's party to treat a young boy that has similar symptoms as one of his previous case, an old woman called "Ester", which however ended in death.
The episode where House picks up 13 from jail. The entire helping a patient over the phone. The potato canon competition. "I'll kill you" at the end really gets me.
that 1 was really depressing tho. that lady went thro all that pain for nothing especially when cuddy forced house to lie to her to go through that pain but she died anyways. but one one hand satisfying because it proves that god dosen't exist. if it was me trapped under there i would have said "either get my leg out or shoot me in the head with a gun, i want to go out peacefully"
He IS british. That is his real accent. For the rest of the show, he loses his accent and takes on an American one. Listen to his interviews and you'll hear him speak in his own accent.
Nandan Prasad 😂😂😂😂 You really don’t get the humor of a British man playing a American doctor faking a British accent? That went right over your head huh? 😂
Really loved the episode with the girl that was alergic to light. That episode stuck with me I always get so mindblown when they reveal what was wrong with her. Also the chinese girl with the nails in her head from when her parents had tried to kill her. And the woman with rabies, because i GOT THAT ONE. I had a hunch it would be rabies and it WAS. And it was so sad too. The guy with leptospirosis, the woman with endomethriosis, eclampsia, the guy with the teratoma, for fuck's sake the woman with a fucking FRACTURE IN HER FOOT that caused her all those problems but she never took off her socks and because it was so cold, the cold had numbed the pain so she couldn't feel her broken foot, uh the drama in the show is amazing too but it's such a high when they correctly diagnose the patient, it's like when Hercue Poirot reveals the murderer! House is the Poirot of medicine fucking love this show!
Props to David shore for making this amazing show. Three stories was great. No reason was amazing. Detox really got into houses vicodin addiction. Just an overall great show. I'm kind of sad to admit that it started going downhill. Probably ran out of ideas but man this was a great show. Definitely top 3.
Ariana Zuniga It honestly went downhill in s8. In my opinion its probably the worst season expect for the last few episodes. I feel lime the ending should have been more than what it really was, but i dont blame them they were rushed.
"Informed Consent" is one of the best and definitely the most underrated. "Are you a man of your word?" "No, actually, I am not" And his "I'm proud of you" to Cameron - so touching.
I loved the two-parter where Amber dies. I loved how in the first episode you don’t know who’s missing, the writing and story telling is just amazing. And then, of course, Wilson’s Heart. Omg I cried and cried. I always thought that it was so moving that when they wake her up to tell her she’s dead, and for Wilson to say goodbye, Wilson says a bunch of medical jargon that I couldn’t understand, but then there is a horrible look of shock on Amber’s face where she understands. She just says, “I’m dead?” It was beautiful and so gut wrenching. I cried and criiiied. And honestly I didn’t like Amber that much. But she was good for Wilson, she made him tougher, I think. It makes me wonder how House MD would have ended differently if Amber didn’t die.
I think that house's head/wilson's heart was my favorites, but then I also love the story telling episodes, like three stories and nobody's fault, because those were really thought out and they were put together in an excellent way
I love the entire Season 4. I thought I'd be sad because the team is different but I enjoyed it sooo much. I love the new team and all the name callings lol.
Off the top of my head and in no particular order, Euphoria I and II, House's head/WIlson's heart, Three Stories and Help me are definitely some of my favourites
My favorite episode was Help Me Season 6. It showed why House tried avoiding spending time with patients (he felt a connection with a girl after being stuck under a collapsed building with her). It was a really tragic episode but revealed a lot about House and his leg pain/vicodin addiction. His time with Cuddy also shows how he wants to love but can't give it just like with Stacy.
house's head and wilson's heart were the best episodes i have seen because it's the only episode where they have gone closer to house's head about how he thinks and the part where he figure's out it was amber the way they have written these episodes is truly amazing an hat's off to the actors who portrayed the emotions it was literally moving and it even made me cry
I loved the one with the very autistic kid whom House saves. The kid cannot communicate with people yet there's a moment where he and House exchange a "look" for several seconds after he's fixed.....chilling tear jerker every single time.
I really loved Amber's character, well kind of love/hate thing. She was like the female version of House. I cried my eyes out when Wilson had to switch off life support on her. Definitely my favorite Ep of the entire show
I really love the last episode of the 5th season. In my opinion it's so amazingly done, it all comes together and makes sense in the last minutes, I love like House realizes that all these things he thought are true were actually just lies right from the start. It was one of the greatest moments of whole series.
wow i'm seeing a lot of comments saying they hated amber until she was going to die... i actually got to love amber because of how caring and level headed she was with wilson she was a totally different person when she wasn't wearing her coat i felt like she complimented wilson in many ways, like the episodes portrayed i hated how the writers took her away from wilson and breaking his heart like that :(
Honestly I thought she was playing Wilson. It was not until she was on her deathbed I realised it was all real. We were introduced to her as a cutthroat B so I thought she had an ulterior motive with Wilson.
The one where he goes through all the classic movies and the one kid keeps calling him out on it? And the girl with the black eye and crush are waiting for the principal with house?
Personal top 5 picks: 1. Three Stories 2. Broken (1/2) 3. House's Head/Wilson's Heart 4. One Day, One Room 5. Lines in the Sand It's actually a really close toss up between Clueless and Lines in the Sand, and both of them are so high up because of nostalgia reasons (grew up watching House during dinner and reruns with my mumat night), but Clueless always just stuck out to me more outright. I vividly remembered the scenes and the conclusion, the process going along ith it, sitting on the couch long after I was supposed to be in bed but still watching with my mum, but Lines in the Sand resonated a little more with me. Even if it was the shitty early 2000s understanding of autism being displayed in that episode, it still hit a decent amount of points for autism, and it's definitely not a coincidence that House had to deal with his issues with change in that same episode. Maybe I'm biased, but the classic Sherlock Holmes flavour of autism was very apparent in that episode
This show was so well written and acted. The entire cast was always outstanding. IMO: House - Hugh Laurie - is one of the best characters in television history. There are a few others; but I won't name them here. Bravo House!
My top 10: 1) House's Head 2) Three Stories 3) Euphoria I & II 4) Both Sides Now 5) No Reason 6) House Divided 7) Baggage 8) Locked In 9) Out of the Chute 10) Insensitive
I think it's funny how many people (including Shore haha) love Three Stories and, yes, it's a good ep but far from my idk top 20. I love Games and I know it by heart by now, just watched it SO many times - I love the whole dinamic between the team, the dialogue, love love it. Some of my faves are Euphoria 1&2, Birthmarks, Autopsy (I guess I know it by heart too - IS IT STILL ILLEGAL TO PERFORM AN AUTOPSY ON A LIVING PERSON?), Son of a Coma Guy, Baggage, ugh so many of them. The last episodes on s8 are also super emotional, and have great writing. I JUST COULD DISCUSS IT FOR AGES I LOVE HOUSE SO MUCH
I agree. The two-part season 4 finale was excellent. The text and writing were amazing. The acting was superb. The storytelling was emotional. I did not expect Amber to die. I like the character - she seems very inspirational to me. I was feeling really sad. I was especially emotional and sad when Wilson found Amber's note in which she said she was going to pick up a drunken House...
Honestly my favorite episode has to be houses head. It just shows a lot of things happening to house and its really good. For maybe a comedic episode oh I don't know maybe the Flynn one where he has lupus. Houses head episode is season 4 episode 15 I believe. The Flynn episode im not sure what its called.
I also like the pilot very much. It's got a very unique vibe to it. I dunno if it's the colors or what. Maybe the fact that the characters weren't shaped at that point and early episodes didn't focus on them as much. It was more about medicine and house and others felt more misterious...
im gonna pick a favorite episode by category best comedic or light hearted episode: TB or Not TB and every episode with house creating his new team except for 97 seconds. best touching or emotional episode: Autopsy and Fetal position. best case episode ( episode with a wow factor final diagnosis): clueless, Safe, insensitive, occeam Razor, Paternity and Damned if you do . best with a controversial patient or with a highly debateable subject : acceptance( about death penalty), informed consent the one with ezra Powel about ( about euthanasia), The Tyrant( making justice on your own) and happiness vs your gift or talent half wit and Ignorance is bliss. most tense or exciting episode: Euphoria best double cases episodes: airborne and whatever it takes. best shaking up the formula episodes: Frozen and Three Stories
House loves Wilson so much, that when he figures out that Amber is the woman he is seeing, who he knows Wilson loves, he cries. Because for once, he is truly sorry.
My favourite episode is the one where a highschool girl falls ill in the planetarium and to solve her case they connect her to a device that makes pictures out of her brain waves . It was the first episode I ever watched of this show . I was normally scared of medical dramas but this episode was so intriguing I fell in LOVE with this show it is genius
Three of my favourites (bc I'm only on S5 and I've forgotten most of them) are as follows (not exclusively in this order): Son of Coma Guy - Just absolute brilliance and I loved all the Wilson in this episode. I can't remember the name but the one with House's father's funeral - Again so phenomenally funny and witty and RSL's acting is brilliant. (I love him if you couldn't tell @dylankussman please tell him this) House vs God - The only disappointing thing about this episode is the fact that it was Chase (bc I hate him), but the faith healer and Wilson's cancer patient and their relationship vs House's rationality is everything to me and watching House just scream internally for an episode (and nearly exploding by the end of it) was ridiculously fun to watch (and guess what? I love Wilson's scenes in this one too! (My love for RSL is astounding rn, I can't even explain it. Like, this man is 55, married, and has two kids, but I, a fourteen-year-old kid, am completely enamoured by him and everything he does.)) ALSO, Foreman is my favourite, so any time he gets to be in charge, I'm THERE and so happy for him and supporting him from a faraway future lmao. I especially love the episode when Foreman gets his own case because it really highlights how brilliant he is, not only as a doctor separate from House, but also as a character and a person within this world of P-PTH.
Even after the show has been over for years, I still get emotional watching the scenes in this clip. In my opinion, the 2 best TV series were Twin Peaks & House. I hear that "House of Cards" was very good.
My personal favourite was The Right Stuff. I loved how the case was written, we got freshly new characters with new methods, and i especially loved the way House fires the disposable applicants
It's just amazing how Hugh was able to hide his accent in the show. Probably the most amazing aspect overall for me. What an actor!
He wasn't hiding an accent. He was making another accent, which is probably even harder
I heard his real accent and, even as a British person, it freaked me out.
Charred Pigfoot Not used to seeing him look like house, but use his real accent.
Charred Pigfoot British actors do it all the time. Hell, the new spiderman is English.
Yes!! i was so surprised to hear british accent

Both Sides Now

That was a great episode
Tears flow from my eyes every single time I watch it. I can’t resist, no matter how hard I try.
was that close to the episode where he was treating the intersex kid and got on methadone?
I think House's Head/Wilson's heart was the only House episode I cried over. And what Wilson said in the episode was right. I didn't like Amber until she was dying. But I cried so hard. Although, I don't think it was over Amber. I think it was seeing Wilson so sad.
Dana Osgood And the last episode. I was wonder what will House do after Wilson's death.
Yeah, Wilson's Heart messed me up. It's one of my fave episodes, but I just can't watch it.
It was Foreman that said that. Agree with you that it was a brilliant episode.
Which season and epi?
for me its Help me. House finally caring for a patient, manning up to do the job and amputate and losing after doing everything right
Anne Dudek is so adorable, which makes the skill with which she played cold and calculating Amber (at least superficially) all the more impressive.
I don't know why but up me she seems aloof and a bit haughty. I could just be "mis-seeing" things
@@EphemeralProductions I agree. It seems she was cast till play herself. At least the clips on this video make me see her that way.

ea09 I see. To add in your list I'll add Broken & Detox inside
euphoria 2 its amazing
What about Help me?
i never get tired to watch this series, watched full at least 2 times
I JUST COULD DISCUSS IT FOR AGES I LOVE HOUSE SO MUCH
6:37 the best answer, of course, comes from Hugh Laurie
Gotta go back and rewatch the two-parter - again. That last scene with Wilson in this clip, I’m still weeping as I type this.
Three Stories was genius. I've got the ones with the laughing police officer way up there as well... One of the best shows I've ever seen.
Only on season 3 but I can’t get enough of this show it is awesome
my favorite ep: the end of season 5, when house lost his mind...
Amber's death is one of the most well written stories in the show.
It’s so weird hearing Hugh Laurie talk in his real British accent. I’m just so used to hearing him talk as House.
I really miss this show :'(
I really loved the scene when Thirteen talked about Huntington’s
Honestly my favorite episode has to be houses head. It just shows a lot of things happening to house and its really good. For maybe a comedic episode oh I don't know maybe the Flynn one where he has lupus. Houses head episode is season 4 episode 15 I believe. The Flynn episode im not sure what its called.
Ariana Zuniga me too
the best comedic episodes in my opinion are : TB or not TB and mirror mirror
One Day, One Room is my favorite
Laziest answer ever. "Pilot, because it was the start of everything."
oh yeah? you're lazy for pointing out the obvious lazy answer
Ikr!?
exactly. I am not sure if she had watched every episode before this interview even tho she is a writer. Lol
I also like the pilot very much. It's got a very unique vibe to it. I dunno if it's the colors or what. Maybe the fact that the characters weren't shaped at that point and early episodes didn't focus on them as much. It was more about medicine and house and others felt more misterious...
Uh... she did give multiple points as to why she really enjoyed the Pilot episode.
Not really "lazy" if you ask me
im gonna pick a favorite episode by category
best comedic or light hearted episode: TB or Not TB and every episode with house creating his new team except for 97 seconds.
best touching or emotional episode: Autopsy and Fetal position.
best case episode ( episode with a wow factor final diagnosis): clueless, Safe, insensitive, occeam Razor, Paternity and Damned if you do .
best with a controversial patient or with a highly debateable subject :
acceptance( about death penalty), informed consent the one with ezra Powel about ( about euthanasia), The Tyrant( making justice on your own) and happiness vs your gift or talent half wit and Ignorance is bliss.
most tense or exciting episode: Euphoria
best double cases episodes: airborne and whatever it takes.
best shaking up the formula episodes: Frozen and Three Stories
Sara Zonana Honorable mention from Season 4 elimination episodes: Mirror Mirror XD Everything is fun but this ought to be the funniest for me.
All 4 years of watching this show on repeat...still can't believe Hugh & Dr House is the same person o_O
The season finale of season 5 was amazing! We got to figure it out with House and it just was so unique
Three stories is probably one of the greatest episodes of any tv show ever
Exactly
House is one of my favorites shows no because is good overall but because they have episodes that are so incredible good.
House loves Wilson so much, that when he figures out that Amber is the woman he is seeing, who he knows Wilson loves, he cries. Because for once, he is truly sorry.
"Help me" is my favorite episode!
In no particular order.
1. Three Stories
2. Help Me
3. Broken 1 & 2
4. Birthmarks
5. House Divided
6. Euphoria 1 & 2
'I love them all equally: they're all my children.'
I wonder what House would say to that.
The Amber Death Episodes were some of the best cinematic sequences I have ever seen. Honestly.
Three of my favourites (bc I'm only on S5 and I've forgotten most of them) are as follows (not exclusively in this order):
Son of Coma Guy - Just absolute brilliance and I loved all the Wilson in this episode.
I can't remember the name but the one with House's father's funeral - Again so phenomenally funny and witty and RSL's acting is brilliant. (I love him if you couldn't tell @dylankussman please tell him this)
House vs God - The only disappointing thing about this episode is the fact that it was Chase (bc I hate him), but the faith healer and Wilson's cancer patient and their relationship vs House's rationality is everything to me and watching House just scream internally for an episode (and nearly exploding by the end of it) was ridiculously fun to watch (and guess what? I love Wilson's scenes in this one too! (My love for RSL is astounding rn, I can't even explain it. Like, this man is 55, married, and has two kids, but I, a fourteen-year-old kid, am completely enamoured by him and everything he does.))
ALSO, Foreman is my favourite, so any time he gets to be in charge, I'm THERE and so happy for him and supporting him from a faraway future lmao. I especially love the episode when Foreman gets his own case because it really highlights how brilliant he is, not only as a doctor separate from House, but also as a character and a person within this world of P-PTH.
ur so real for the rsl love
I love how Hugh Laurie did a British Accent for this interview
He didn’t “do” a British accent, that’s how he speaks. He IS British.
I assume you are from the USA ?
When u can’t remember your kids name so you say you love them all equally
i have never heard Hugh use his real voice it mad how he can change it just like that
Favorite episode has to be with the CIPA patient. Also didn't know Hugh Laurie has such a thick accent
"thick accent"? That's RP.
Chase's episode in the final season was one of the best imo.
Three stories was amazing! I love the complexity mixed with the emotional nature of it.
Jeremy effin Renner was playing in House. My list of discoveries has filled up again, the last time was that Fassbender was in 300.
This was peak TV. This, Sopranos and the Office.
Even after the show has been over for years, I still get emotional watching the scenes in this clip. In my opinion, the 2 best TV series were Twin Peaks & House. I hear that "House of Cards" was very good.
I really love three stories .. being a chronic pain patient myself .
Three stories is an amazing episode!
I think I like Hugh Laurie's answer the most :D
My favorite episode is "Family Practice", the one where Cuddys mom gets sick
My personal favourite was The Right Stuff. I loved how the case was written, we got freshly new characters with new methods, and i especially loved the way House fires the disposable applicants
Mines the 2 episodes with Forman being in the hospital
Sinatra EU euphoria was incredible. its the most exciting episode of the whole series
I think foreman was in the hospital in all the episodes
Thruchas This is a really dumb joke, but I couldn't help laughing.
Thruchas Hahahahaahhaah the banter is real
I love them all like my children, none of whom I can remember... wait can I try another metaphor?
