Mick s mask is his face now. It perfectly portrays his mood and personality, more so than any other member in slipknot. Truly terrifying and intimidating but behind it a humane intelligent and well spoken mind. Gotta love Mick Thomson
I guess having the same design every cycle helped that. Hes been able to tweak it until its perfect
This is why I think they shouldn't change their masks a lot. The masks that change the most lose their personality, their identity. Whenever Corey changes his mask for example, we all know who is the man behind the mask and it's nothing else but a dude with a random mask on his face, no big deal. Mick's, Craig's and James' masks, on the other hand, have a personality of their own and we always remember these guys by their masks more than anything else. The same goes for Chris' and Joey's mask. They are/were able to keep the "magic" about their masks by keeping them traditional and only changing very few details.

I'm watching the old interviews of the band with Joey, Paul, and Chris in it. Tbh it was the best time of my life the 1999 and early 2000s. Joey, I miss you so much 💔

I was 11 years old, but this was my favorite era of Slipknot. The album was okay, but as a unit, the band was something else. The companionship and style was everything. I miss it.

It’s so weird to see Mick so vocal about the psychological aspects of Slipknot. Normally that’s left to Shawn Corey or Joey when he was in the band. When he is vocal it’s usually about the music itself or the physical aspects of touring.

This is such a unique interview. They have so many great things to say. & this is when Slipknot was still in its prime. I love this band so much but Slipknot will not be the same as it used to.

If you observe, it's not just Jim that says "You Know", the others say it too, but Jim's 'You Know' rate per words is higher than the rest.
It's so funny, seeing Chris next to Corey as he goes off about everyone putting their two cents on the songs, knowing what we know now...
Same thing with Joey and Jim, about only making 7 demos.
Jim has been very public about not liking AHIG because they never actually jammed that record, but was constructed by Joey.
And Chris was very public too about not feeling like part of the band, and not being able to collaborate to the extend that he wanted to...

Funny hearing about them talk during the All Hope is Gone era, cause if you watch one of their documentaries on RUclips most of them hated this album. They barely had any interaction with each other.
Vasage X I think a lot of the hate for this era was in retrospect/looking at the later half of this era. They were very happy about it when the cycle started

i feel like we can see clearly that interview chris gave about “the mental abuse in slipknot” makes more sense now, everything he went through, how he was treated, he was really tellng the truth, and sometimes it’s even possible for you to notice the strange atmosphere that gets when he’s with others, i can’t explain-
Too bad Mick doesn't do media too much. the few he was in, it was always nice to listen to. great sense of humor and at the same time very careful with his words. He seems very articulate. Such a great voice too.

I was at the virgina beach va stop of this tour. My first real concert me and a group of friends traveling by car from North Carolina 5-10 hrs with a pack of blackie miles.Cooler full of energy drinks Cigerettes everything Pulled into va beach around 11:30 pm.
The classic 9 was the best. Miss Joey and Paul.

This tour was epic. Og lineup. The mud people at dte! It stormed beginning of their set. It was perfection. I remember looking behind me at people moshing on the hill all tore up. It looked like fuckin tornado ripped through that place. One of the best shows of my life. Never forget
