Great video. I am not really into bracelets of any kind. That being said I really dig the watch. I have this exact same model with the black dial and broad arrow handset. I purchased mine here in the States and it had been my go to watch ever since. I am so glad that I got mine as you can't find one anywhere. They are coming out with a new model made up of 3 watches but they aren't available with the ETA 2801-2 but the manual wind STP1-11. Hope you are enjoying your, mine is a keeper. Thanks, Brian.
My brother was a Marine and had one of these on a Zodiac Seawolf in the mid 70's. The clip was a little different though. I had forgotten about it until I found Serica watches and it was on their website. I am VERY hard on everything and a G-10 is the only thing I trust anymore. I have lost to many watches due to either broke pins or straps popping off or just braking. Loose one submariner and you have to find a solution to the problem. I may get one of these just for nostalgic reasons. Thanks for the video.
Very cool man! Never even seen such a bracelet. At first I thought it was gonna be one of those elastic style like on some timex. Be really sweet on vintage watches.
Man! I think a follow up vid would be great - talk about if crud ends up in those spaces on the bracelet, and also - if you get annoyed by the screw down crown on the hand wind only with 1.5day power reserve. Seems crazy to me, but you'd have to live with it to know for sure. Sure is a damn fine looking watch brutha.
Great deets re fit. It seems like no one ever talks about that ish. Also. G10 squaddie bumper is killer. Gotta talk 'em into making one for the pulsar!
Hi, what happens if you wear the bracelet loose? I'm used to wear my watches pretty loose and I think that the "loop" part will be going up and down on the bracelet. What do you think? Thanks!
Great video, as always. I'm excited to get my Serica on this style of bracelet. If I don't totally dig it, I'm gonna swap it out for a mesh. I'm an unabashed mesh guy.
I like it, thank you for the video! In 2021Smiths will release a Sellita SW510MP B powered chrono with 40x46mm case and 20mm lugs. Depending on the case finish this bracelet will be on my radar for a possible killer combo. Cheers!
I have the same watch and bracelet. The bracelet doesnt pinch hair as I thought it would. The links stay separated and the gap doesnt close to cause a pinch. I have wide hands and a smaller wrist(6 3/4"). I didnt see the chart to measure my hand so I just ordered it. Its technically my size bracelet but I struggle to slip my hand inside sometimes. I also blindly ordered the black leather strap, which fits me well. Updated Version 2's are out👍 but no white dials.
Of course they add sapphire after I get one, lol. I'm surprised there's no white dial! Of the new dials, the original dial is still best imo, that Cali looks rough with the double indices at 3-6-9-12....
@@ChillinwitWatches I would have loved saphire on the WWW but I take care of my watches. I sent them an email about white dials and they said they are focusing on the black lacquered dials now but maybe they will have a lighter color on the next models with new cases. I wanted the white dial but with black hands for better legibility. Figures the white dial I didnt buy will be worth millions now😞 The California dial is so odd I like it😁
Why does everyone act like these clips are standard? It confused the shit out of me when I was buying actual vintage swiss bracelets. These are totally different than the original type which just snapped in.
Hollow bracelets DO NOT MEAN CHEAP BRACELETS!!! And its never as true as it is in the modern day - a cheap milled bracelet and clasp will be significantly worse than a stamped one of the same price. People act like weight is the be-all-end-all and this exact attitude resulted in extremely crappy bracelets from the cheaper brands. Not only this, but you can make extremely good quality sheet metal bracelets that are as comfortable as silk and beautiful.
I'm relatively sure that these are the exact same bracelets sold on Ali Express for $5.00-$20.00. I have compared that and the Forster and can find no difference other than the clasp branding.
I just found your channel while looking for information on the Bonklip. Your video was exactly what I was looking for. Thanks.
Sweet! Glad it could help!
Never seen one of these before. Sounds pricey, but I appreciate that it's a vintage design. Overall looks pretty cool.
Amazingly comfortable if a little odd in it's construction, a great vintage option tho!
Found your channel because I saw the bonklip serica video. Great channel and instructions. Subscribed!
Sweet! Thanks man! And welcome aboard!
This bracelet goes so well with this sexy Serica field watch. Thank you for the review.
yo, how do you only have under 400 subscribers?! I love your contents, keep it up yo!
Loving your enthusiasm, Pete. Great vid.
Thanks man! Patiently waiting for your vids!
nice review. The final effect of the bracelet on the watch looks great IMHO
Would love to see the bonklip on the G10! Have you tried it and does it work or look goofy?
Well done. Interesting Braclet. Really enjoying your content.
Thanks bro, same to you! Crazy bracelet huh?

Forstner in the USA also makes a version of this bracelet - slightly longer with 18mm link width and a more elaborate locking system.
Isn't that who this one is from? I thought Serica was using Forstner bracelets.
@@ChillinwitWatches I believe they are using the josephbonnie bracelets from the UK.
@@marksulloway5669 oh yeaaaa!! I made this vid a while ago, totally forgot!!!! Good looking out kid!
Forstner one looks more secured,I use it on my Zodiac sea wolf skin
Hey man I know this is an old video but thanks for the explanation. Any experience with Forstner bracelets?
Not with any others, but I hear good things!

I probably wouldn't have either if it worked out, lol, but good to consider for future vids! The Squaddie is awesome!
Hi, what happens if you wear the bracelet loose? I'm used to wear my watches pretty loose and I think that the "loop" part will be going up and down on the bracelet. What do you think?
Thanks!
It doesn't slide free, it has a flange that links into the bracelet. It would have to be really loose for that to come out I think...
Also, these aren’t meant for wearing really loose, like the way women wear rolexes etc
If the bracelet work o fixed bars you should have tried it on the cwc g10, would have like to see the look :)
Unfortunately it won't work with fixed bars, be cool if it did tho!!!
It looks perfect.
And I like the look. I'd be inclined to put it on something even smaller and thinner. Send it to me and I'll try that out for you on your old Smiths!
Would kill on a 36!

I think you were supposed to measure around your thumb and palm together
At first, I thought it would be similar to a Speidel Twist-O-Flex bracelet (which works very well on vintage and vintage style watches.
Agreed! I have a twist o flex, seller super fun!
It's science, yo!
Ha, I love that explanation!

The pricing needs to be around 50-60USD, it is a hard pass at 91USD.
It's a little steep!
It's actually 91 EUR so it's even more expensive than that

guessing you couldn't remove it if your watch doesn't have lugholes??
