Why aren’t they using dual giant crusher, star shower and swarm of flies? I don’t get it why are they exploiting the high poise meta? These guys don’t know anything about real skill, they should pick up Dual giant crusher and rivers of blood

@@superwolfie4061no. That's called "neutral" in a fighting game. You don't force interactions constantly that's not how things work even in real life fights. People feel each other out and have to be careful. Souls PvP is generally pretty boring though compared to real fighting games, at least to watch. It is literally 90% spacing, but that's because the game is too simple.

Both hp bars emptying from right to left. I found it a bit jarring and 'hard to read' as is.

Do we really need more ranged spam in elden ring though? Man I miss the engagement range for majority of phantoms being melee in ds3, it's literally the opposite in ER, majority of interactions are at range and you have to fight through endless projectiles while they backpedal and run away...
To be clear I'm talking invasions here, it's not as bad in duels where there's only one set of projectiles flying at you

new to ER PVP here - why does their characters seem to be moved to fast while doing spacing? Is there any special sequence of commands that needs to be made here to achieve that speed?

@@drakaryonnsometimes watching from a free camera than third person gives a different feeling to the speed as well
They don’t switch directions often, they try to keep their sprint up by running in a circle to change directions instead of stopping and starting again

Yeah, if you hit them from neutral it doesn’t combo but if the first hit catches them late or roll catches, the second one always lands. Correct me if I’m wrong

Always see the same weapons and gear. This is what happened to magic the gathering as well. Tons of options but every one just try hards and copies eachother. These people are good enough they should win doin creative stuff instead of boring shit
ngl, hardswapping is kinda ruining the entire skill factor quite a bit.
Imagine in overwatch, that every single pro constantly swapped hero's just to counter other heroes... Yeah that's the kinda vibe it gives... Tournaments like this should be about mechanical skill, not how well you can navigate a menu, lol.
I understand feeling the need to swap to increase your chances of winning, however... that's the problem, if you need to swap build to win, you've already admitted defeat, you've admitted you don't have what it takes, to win with the build you entered with.

@@MyouKyuubi PVE scrubs confidently talking about PVP they know nothing about will never stop being funny. Hardswapping is a very high skill mechanic thats been here since the series began, and dramatically opens up the options for combat in this game.
You should get back to getting carried by your friend in the easy mode mod, and stop trying to talk down to players that are far better and more knowledgeable than you'll ever be.

Right, and swapping heroes in overwatch in less than a second to counter a hero on the opposite team is also a "high skill mechanic", right?
Technically, it is, as it reveals your game knowledge, that you know what heroes are best against other heroes, that's part of skill, i guess.
However... Is it fun to watch? No, lol... Does it compensate for the shortcomings in your mechanical skill? Yes...
You can cope all you want about how hardswapping is "high skill", but you're gonna sound just as p4th3tic as the counterswappers on overwatch.
@MyouKyuubi Overwatch to Elden Ring is not a fair comparison and the fact you're acting like it is is hilarious. There's no switching to Pharah to counter Reinhardt or whatever, that's why it works for this game but would be absurd in OW. Weapon matchups can be conquered easily even if one has an advantage over the other. No amount of skill lets Reinhardt hit a flying Pharah with his hammer. You're changing the weapon in your hand not your entire character

Hardswapping IS a mechanical skill. Using it doesn't make up for lack of it, LOL. You have to be skilled to quickly navigate and accurately swap mid combat. And you still have to use the same mechanical skill with the weapons anyway, how is switching between a dozen movesets less mechanically skillful than sticking to 1 or 2? Makes no sense

Now, that being said, what i'm saying is that counterswapping on Overwatch, is the EQUIVALENT to hardswapping on Elden Ring. Precisely because the REASON to ENGAGE in it these things, are the same.
To compensate for lack of mechanical skill with the hero/loadout in question.

NO, the reason why it works for Elden Ring, and not high level play on Overwatch, is because there's no punishment mechanic... In overwatch, swapping heroes, resets your ult meter... That is a punishment.
IN elden ring there's no ult meter, so there's no punishment, that's literally the only difference.
And just because the Elden Ring menu is harder to navigate than the hero selection screen, doesn't change the fact that you're swapping weapons because you're not confident in your skill with your current weapon. Sure navigating a difficult menu really fast, is... a skillset separate from the in-game skillset... that doesn't necessarily mean it should be part of competition... Just because navigating a menu fast requires skill, doesn't automatically justify the use of such a menu.
I mean what if a cheating software has a difficult menu and it took skill to quickly navigate it, would cheating be justified then? Lol, obviously not, grow up.

@@allenbradshaw6959 60 hp + Morgott`s Rune. In Tournament conditions Great runes are allowed. Also hp talisman +2 and tear that heals you when you`re below 25% of your hp
