“Detain me then” *immediately resists*
Detain does not necessarily mean Detain in handcuffs. Legally, those are two different things. Shortly after, an officer says "now you're resisting arrest", which is blatantly false given that the officer himself stated that what he was attempting to do was only a detainment, not a detainment in handcuffs or an arrest.
Security guard was clearly a dumbass, but that doesn't mean the officers are doing their jobs right either.
Hes a combat vet. We don’t like getting jumped on. If you walked in our boots, your opinion is valid. If not, shut up because you have no idea what sone of us live with every single day. I myself am 1 foot in the grave all the time & nobody cares anymore because everyone forgot the two wars we just got done fighting. I pray that none of you have to know what it’s like. I wish I could go back & get my mind back.
@@CCountZero Being detained just means you're not free to go, at any point they can't put cuffs on you especially if you're being detained while wearing body armor and carrying weapons, the moment they went to put cuffs on he had no right to resist it which he tried to do
@@Mvrky0 Wrong. Detaining in handcuffs is defined in law, and in most states is only allowed if the detainee might pose a risk to the officers, just like it's also possible to be detained in a police vehicle so one can't run off.
Being put in handcuffs absolutely does not equate to being arrested.
The officer said his intention was to detain. He doesn't get to suddenly claim resisting arrest, as he made it clear he was not being placed under arrest, only being detained.
The officer doesn't have to announce every intention he has, the interaction started with him refusing ID with is a detainable offense when you're being investigated, he refused to provide it and then told them to detain him because he wasn't going to provide it, at that point what do you suggest a police officer does? Do they just stand there? Do they let him walk away? What other scenario can you see happening other than being placed in cuffs?
The moment he said "theres no proof" you knew he was done.
Sounds like a shit kid sitting in the principal's office, not a grown man.
Yep 10 seconds after contact.
I knew he was guilty. Then "detain me". And then he said "may have done it by accident... it's on the console".

Being security is simple protect property and life you are paid to. I always preferred it over state work. It pays better too if you do it right. Less head ache too. I never understood people who tried to make it more than that. Like some guards demand more power to “do their job”. All state laws cover security work under private persons arrest, civil arrest, and merchant rights. If you act outside of that you are doing way too much. Stay to your contracts and act with in the law. People like him make me cringe so hard. Your comment made me LOL though 😅.

The captain should have arrested him put him in jail! Impersonating an officer should be a felony
It is a felony. White privilege on full display here.
i thought it was.
@@matthewperrigin9292 It was treated as a misdemeanor! ReRead the story in detail including other sources ! It will blow your mind
@@johnhardasnails7464It's always a misdemeanor. In every state I believe. It only becomes a felony with certain things. Like.. say you handcuffed someone and put them in your car, that's false imprisonment. If you did something even dumber like DRIVE that person somewhere well, now that's kidnapping.
But the act of just stopping someone and pretending to be a cop so you can "assert some authority" over another isn't that big a deal. It's annoying, and childish, but if it doesn't go beyond that then yea.. just a misdemeanor. You'd be surprised how many "vigilantes" exist in this nation. People who aren't cops but want to ACT like them, while saying "I'm just looking out for the greater good", or whatever.
Too many people sometimes want to take the law in to their own hands. The best thing ANY citizen can do is be a good witness. Seriously. If you see a crime occur, call 911. Record it with your phone from a safe distance if possible. Have a good memory and be able to recall the victim and suspect involved, including what they're wearing, their approx. age, height, weight, gender, ethnicity, etc. Be able to explain and elaborate to cops what you saw. All of this helps, and of course you typically have the right remain anonymous. No one will ever know you shared information on a crime with the cops unless you're standing in the road talking to them or you give your name for record. It doesn't necessarily mean you need to testify against someone in court lol. Obviously, you CAN if you want to. You could tell cops you'll be a participating witness if you wanted to.
I was thinking the same thing. Probably, in blue states, it is.
If it looks like a cop, talks like a cop, has red and blue's like a cop, has a k9 like a cop, still make sure it's a cop! What a world we live in.
Still, when First Amendement Auditors request the names OF cops, a lot of them respond with "its right here" or I don't have to identify myself, smh. Can't trust wannabe cops OR actual cops.
And if you take 5 seconds or pull off at a safe space to make sure it’s a cop and it’s a cop, the cowards in clown costumes will draw weapons, attack you and charge you with resisting arrest, evading and obstruction.

Be safe and blessed everyone!
And tack on a "failure to stop" charge.....good idea.

I also did wonder if I would then get a charge of not stopping or using my mobile which is illegal here but hell..I'd rather get that than not be safe
I would also add, while on the phone, ask dispatch where the closest station is and go there…
(FYI: I’ve been a police dispatcher for 20 years).
“You’re Putting My Integrity In The Trash Bro” NAH YOURE DOING IT YOURSELF
Unless that guy is guarding a vault, or armored truck, he does not need all that garbage on him. Just a failed wannabe cop on a power trip.
Yeah, handcuffs guarding a gas station. Lives with his mommy.
Impeding the passing lane should be an arrestable offense in itself.
How is personating a cop a MISDEMEANER? The laws need updating!!! This guy should not be security any where!!!
has a radio with no one on the other end 😂
So he can pretend to be talk to his pretend friends.
Charlie , bravo , alpha , romero , forxtrout ! ima need ordnance on these stoplights !
15:45 They are going back and forth about how and why the lights were turned on but never addressed the obvious: he is not ALLOWED to have blue lights if he's not a cop.
Depending on the state (or maybe all states idk) you can use them on private property
Can have blue lights, it's actually red to the front that is not allowed in the state but some security companies in Albuquerque have both red and blue and always claim its legal for them to have both on private property. Doesn't feel like it is right but don't know if it actually is.
Volunteer Firefighters have blue lights in Illinois
NM he can have them on the vehicle, but cannot use them except on private property he is being paid to cover. They talk about it in the video.
@@MeerkatADV it seems like according to state law 66-3-385 section e that no vehicle is allowed to have a red flashing light to the front except as described.
This is probably the only situation where "Do you know who I am ?" is an important question.
