I'm most worried about the fact, how those columns sustain the entire second floor instead of the quality of each renderer. :S

They are made of Titanium. And the whole balcony area is not solid floor, wall and roof. It's all hollow inside with fake concrete finish.

you don't know to use Lumion 10 enought to do this comparison. The reflection is muche better quality that you show in your video
ok, i just use it three days. ask one question, Do you know how to render quick in high reflection in animation?
If you add the 10 planes for reflection in Lumion, will increase substantially the final render time for the animation it could easily add 15 to 30min depending on the output

D5 has free version
As a 3D visualizer, I find D5 more realistic than Lumion. This holds true when you look at D5's GI and reflection.. Animation wise, D5 still wins.. Lumion's animation has flickering on the grass area.. Quality over speed, I would choose quality.. I wouldn't want to spend more time amending flickerings and bad comments from my client

I've been a Lumion user for years. When I discovered D5 recently and used it on a few of my projects, I knew right away that it has great potential to become an undisputed market leader. Cheaper, faster and has incredible PBR assets and ray tracing technology, it is by far my new favorite. Give it another year or two and it will only get better. I have to say that I'm impressed with D5 more than I was impressed with Lumion when I discovered it years ago.

This is a very first side by side comparison between Lumion and D5, and due to the numerous reasons, I can't say this is a fair fight between those 2 Softwares, especially when the skills of the guy that made this comparison are not on high level. Lumion is on market for several years, and during that time, they have solved numerous bad spots in Lumion rendering, on the other side we have D5, very,, young" software that will need numerous improvements till it reaches the quality of other software. I am using Lumion for the past 3 years, and from my point of view, what i can say for D5, i like how it handles Interior scenes, especially lighting, global illumination, on the other hand, details of objects are not very sharp, its to blurry, and the whole inclosure of working in D5 is not made with the consultation from the regular user like on the other hand, lumion has made their interface perfect. All i am saying, D5 render is very young software, and it's too early for compare, but i found this software very promising, and i am definitely planning to switch on that software for interior scenes.
Mladen Radosavljevic agree your point! Some function I didn’t make compare,Because it’s D5 pain point! D5 didn’t make animation asset right now ,because it’s gi method is change every month! And reflection bounce will add to x 5 times ,it will add render time anyway! But if u see my render showdown video before ,u can find D5 is get growth every month!so we can wait they grow and get more good price !(maybe lu will discount) i think it’s phased compare!

YES, it is already support in 1.6! and D5 not work on AMD unless you use crack ! find D5 amd crack on youtube!

when comparing you have to use exactly the same materials and models esp the lighting as well. Still prefer Lumion due to the toolset.

I think you can take better renders in lumion with different settings but render time goes really high when you do that.

This is the first time i have heard of d5:0 it made me curious because i saw it it my recommendations. Lumion has more clearer color tones but reflections and water was better on the d5. I have used lumion in college before but it was very heavy on laptops that doesn't have much power to render stuff and its slower depending on the computer specs. I've been using enscape ever since it released since its fast in rendering and can still have those realistic aspects to what the scene needs to be plus its not that heavy on my laptop:") i don't have the funds to upgrade my laptop to a better specs yet but i'll try d5 if my laptop can handle it.

i like D5 better in reflections and interior rendering. ( lumion reflections is good but have some problems ( u need to do trick/tweakin...) , and also especially they only limit u to 10 face, they have problem with curve glass curtains window/facades ). you should make comparasion to exterior with curve glass scenes. For shadow wise all both goods ( lumion have problem with high aerial views angles shadows of human/cars. i dont know D5 have same problem or not ).
but honestly both software have different kind of rendering engines. you should compare D5 with blender EEVEE or Twinmotion or plugin render in skp

for global illumination and reflection cant really compare the actual difference because both image have different sun settings.. kindly adjust the sun/shadow direction into one view only..in order to get the feel and be able to make proper comparison.. thanks

Both of them are good rendering engine but honestly Lumion is somewhat better,especiallt in the aspect of vegetation, however D5 render costs less than Lumion.its more affordable.

Lumion不能所见即所得，完全提不起兴趣使用……而且渲染引擎有点烂，连官方的范例都感觉很假。
