I have this problem with my neighbors looking down into my patio from their second story window. I put up 3 10 foot rectangular umbrellas that till no view of their house whatsoever. Even heard her say “ she’s blocking me, I can’t see.” Why does she have to watch me while I’m in my yard? Cleaning, planting relaxing or playing with my dogs?
Yeah m back porch is about 4 ft higher than my neighbors so I can see into their backyard without even meaning too. So what we do is if their outside sunbathing or whatever we try to stay inside just so they don’t feel uncomfortable. But if they are just out or king in the garden or playing with their dogs I just say hello then try not to look at them. People just need to respect ch other and it’s easier to get along.
Just wish ours had a 6 ft fence all 260 along his side of the line. He parked it right ON the property line. Our county has a setback code....Then we wouldn't have to see his junk, which he has started parking in front of the end of his fence in the front yard.🙄.

This woman is elderly. Leave her alone! Some people are so ignorant. She looks peaceful and does not bother anyone. No one has complained about her before. The stress she must be going through! God is with you honey. Just keep praying.
Put in a very tall growing bush on your side of the fence that will block the camera's view. Shame on that disrespectful neighbor invading your privacy with a camera.
Yes...Arborvitaes , No there is no room for them to grow...and the neighbor will complain it is tearing up the drive. Go for a tall Privacy Screen , then add to the top, some type of decorate fabric like you use on patio umbrella. It is a screen, not a fence ,,no rules or regulations.
@@shannon9155 And why? Whose business is it how tall your fence is? You should be able to put up any height fence you want so long as it doesn't interfere with the migration patterns of birds or cause jetliners to divert to an unobstructed air space.
In my country everyone has a fence. It's very common. The crazy neighbour is mad because now she has to buy a tv to watch people. I hate neighbours who look into your house all day.
I didn't even know it's actually a thing, looking into other peoples homes... I'd feel really awkward if I even made eye contact for a split second with someone that is inside his home lol.
My childhood home in another country had 10ft fence & so did everybody elses house. We didn't learn to climb trees as kids we learned to climb fences 😆
here i am dreaming of a neighbor who is interested enough in me to look in to my windows and tell everyone, i live a very interesting life and it feels wasted without ppl talking about it or not recognizing my talent or my decor. Wish i had those neighbors, i would remove all my walls so everyone can see =D
My weird neighbor in Florida kept moving the survey stakes on our property. We decided to put up a fence. When our surveyor started to measure, we realized nutty neighbor had moved the stakes so far over we had only 18 inches of property on that side of the house. We really had 23 feet. He kept chasing us off “his property “ when we’d walk down the side of our house. He was really pissed when we put the fence on the correct border.
The laws need to be updated. Now it’s basically if I can see it, I can film it and with today’s technology even the poorest pervert can afford a camera.
I had a property line problem with my people nextdoor. He had his farm equipment parked on what he called his property. One day the weeds were three feet tall my son was playing outside. I could hear him but couldn't see him. So I went looking for him calling his name . I found him in the tall weeds by the farm equipment. When the people came home I ask them if I could cut the weeds down for the safety of my son. He said go ahead. So I started early Saturday morning and the last stripe of weeds I cut I hit something steel with my lawn mower. I stopped and looked at what it was. I found the tee iron marking the property line. I got my tape measure and did some checking. I found out I just mowed my property not his. So I showed him the tee iron and told him to move his equipment off my property.
No one should be able to to install a camera that invades your privacy in your property. There needs to be law addressing this type of voyeurism/ peeping Tom
The camera is installed inside their home. What you are suggesting is that it should be illegal for someone to look out their window and that is just stupid.
@@stuwest5862 Shouldn't be aimed at the neighbors property. Aim down at your ground/driveway if you are worried about some breaking in. It could be below the top and the fence, and record anyone walking on that side of her house. Cities/Counties/States need to pass new laws regarding cameras and invasion of privacy laws.
Cameras are illegal if they are pointed at the neighbors windows and invades their privacy. I would install my own cameras pointed right back. Neighbors from hell...harassing someone for no reason.
I think camera's are everywhere anymore. I live in Pa and if you put up a fence, you have to move it 12" in on your property, so if I would put up a fence I would move it 12" in on my property, so you have 2 feet of space between the fences. So if you have a nasty neighbor, they would never cut it. I would probably have to cut it.
In most areas, you can install a spotlight and point it right at their window, or at least at enough angle that it will block that camera's view. Cheap solution to dickish behavior.
My parents house is at the top of a small hill, maybe a 30° incline to the bottom of their backyard fence. They also have a large patio deck extending from the home. A new housing developed bought the land behind them and began developing and, sure enough, eventually someone bought the house built behind them. It was an older couple (man and woman) in their 60's who were retired. One day as they were moving in I was over visiting my mother, and the new neighbors spotted me (due to the slight incline they had a perfect view of my parents yard without even looking over the fence). The man yelled over that I looked strong and able, asked if I would like to earn $200 and help them move a few items into their home. I agreed and drove around to their street. Well...it wasn't a few items lol. They had me ride along with them to a storage unit and I basically ended up moving ALL of their heavy furniture into a U-Haul and then moving it into their home once we got back. The man didn't lift a finger and drank Scotch the entire time and blabbed endlessly about himself. He also said the work would take "no more than an hour" initally but it took nearly 5 hours. Once I finished he gave me $50 and claimed he was waiting on a check, and would give me the rest in 1 to 2 weeks. That was a bit irritating, but I agreed and left. Over the next 2 weeks my parents said the new neighbors were extremely chatty and friendly. My mom said that the new neighbors were ALWAYS in their backyard and seemed to be watching them. They would try to offer my mom stuff from their garden over the fence and if you got caught in a brief "hello" back to them, they would keep you out there for 30 minutes talking, especially the husband. After 2 weeks went by I went to their house and they wouldn't answer. So I left and came back a week later to visit my mom again and to also try the neighbors once more for my $150, only now when I returned the neighbors had built a 10 foot tall privacy fence so that neither we nor they could see each other from our respective backyards. Not only did they do that, they built a fence around their front yard so that nobody could even walk up to their front door to ring the bell. I drove around once more and entered the gate in the front to access their front door and doorbell. The man answered the door reeking of whiskey and was cussing me out. He slammed the door and his wife came back to the door a moment later and told me to "get the fuck off" of their property. I was stunned. I couldn't believe what was happening...but it gets worse. I ask for my money and they acted like they didn't even know who I was. This is after 2 weeks of chatting them up over the fence when I would visit my mom and the 5 hours I spent in their home and riding in a U-Haul with them. I was perplexed. Stunned. I began to walk back to my car and the husband came out to the front yard with a 9 mm hand gun and pointed it directly between my eyes and told me he would kill me, but he hadn't put a magazine in the firearm yet...so when he pulled the trigger nothing happened. I get back to my car and call the police. About an hour later the cops came round to our front yard and said the man was pretty irate but that he claimed I was an intruder. He also said he had no idea who I was and no clue what $150 I was talking about. They asked if I wanted to press chargers and I said no, I didn't want to make any issues for my parents. My mom's husband living there with her was a police officer at this time too, ironically. Fast forward about 6 months and we are all eating dinner one night on the patio. It's 4th of July weekend. We hear cursing and vulgar expletives coming from the neighbors side. Basically he was trying to ruin our peaceful family gathering by being a creep and being vulgar. He also had installed cameras facing into my parents back yard too by this time. So I had enough at this point and stood on the large dog house my grandpa made for our family dog and could see into their backyard. They made a really impressive outdoor lounge area, they had a garden, they had maybe 5 or 6 cameras on the house and fence pointing towards every angle of my parents house and monitors out there on their outdoor sun patio thing to watch them on. So they could see us but we couldn't see them. As soon as he saw my head pop up looking over...from our property....100% legal and within my rights to do... He shouted he was going to blow my head off. He drove around to our house and banged on the door. My step-dad answered with a shotgun pointed at his face, but I had no weapons. I told the guy I would beat his ass right then, but I don't know what happened...he had a come to Jesus moment and probably was crapping his pants and went from insane murderer to the nice, friendly, chatty neighbor we knew for 2 whole weeks that offered us veggies from his garden, etc. Within 2 minutes the police were on our front lawn and had him in handcuffs. He was like "is this about the $150? I'll pay him the money". Yeah... I declined the money and we let him go with no charges, wildly enough. During the whole fiasco his wife was yelling sexual and vulgar obscenities over the fence to my nieces and nephews who were there for the July 4th BBQ. People are truly fucking terrifying in this world. It takes a lot to earn my trust these days.
My hold house had 6' privacy hedges along the back and my neighbor was always complaining about them being too high. The day I moved in he came over and started complaining about them to me and how the previous owner didn't take care of them, etc. He wanted them cut down to 4' and I was like "no, I like the privacy" and he started with the "why? Are we so gross to look at?" garbage. The guy was a jerk.
@@EmmaDee He claimed that my hedges were preventing him from growing grass on this like 10; by 2' section next to his driveway. It was a bunch of crap.
A lot of new people moving in these days, and want to run the neighborhood like an unofficial HOA - in hopes of pushing people out who've been there for decades peacefully.
Wow poor lady being harassed when she should be able to enjoy her retirement years. Where is her family? Someone help this lady please. Hell I'll go help her where is this at??
I know what you mean, been on our property in Georgia for 40 years, then come some dumb bratz inheriting there grandma's house . And it's been war since, the peace we used to have... . Is no more.... blessing to all who go thru this.. .
I went through something similar only I had to get a protective order against my neighbor who kept putting packages at my back door then tried to claim I was stealing them, but I recently had a small victory and won in a civil suit he brought against me. It sucks but I've learned to pick and choose my battles wisely, especially with neighbors
She’s mad because she watched you from the window like it was her own personal entertainment. When you tried to have privacy from her judgmental spying eyes she made it her new project. Instead of loving her neighbor she’s hating on you. That’s been my neighbor. Not recently thankfully! She used to knock on my door and check on my kids and let her dog in my yard to poop and spy around as much as she could. She liked to judge how we lived so she could find satisfaction in judging us. They didn’t approve of us homeschooling, now they homeschool and they lost their daycare.
Home schooling is more often than not terrible for your child. Even if you can provide sufficient education in math, science etc. the socialisation part where your child grows up among peers is so crucial. Its simply egotistical to homeschool.
@@IsomerSoma right. You think. Your lacking in understanding and have your flawed assumptions. “Most of the time” means your making the same ass umptions. Seems the entire country is having to “homeschool” in various forms. The fact that the archaic assumption of socializing is the basis for your accusations means you assume homeschooling is all the same. We socialized a lot more before Covid with clubs, co-ops and a schedule that allowed for more time socializing. Public school kids have so much piled on them they have little time for actual socializing. Like a shame on them for bugging a 76 year old woman and then making her pay and repay for damn fence. Like what is the point and since when can your fence only be four feet? This is the definition of a Karen
What exactly is wrong with that fence - I am on my 3rd privacy fence. Her neighbor just is angry because now she can't look directly into this lady's yard & house. Most nice neighborhoods let foliage and bushes grow up to give them a sense of privacy and seclusion and what is wrong with that anyway. There is a certain type of person now who resents someone else seeking privacy and I don't understand that. Get a life and stop staring into a person's home - give this little lady a break.
The fence looks terrible on the nasty neighbor’s side, maybe that’s why she’s upset. But the older woman has every right to privacy. She has a beautiful home and maintains is very well. Nothing worse than living next to bad neighbors.
@@misscleo378 exactly! I just posted a comment about this, it seems nobody else noticed this. Most city property fences like this have the nice looking side facing out. I don’t deny her a right to privacy but have some consideration for others too. The neighbor could put up a fence to hide that eyesore too, its not necessary to be a dick to the old woman, why don’t people talk things out? I bet most issues can be resolved in conversation if people are willing to cooperate a little.
I understand this poor lady. I live up in Carmel (VWC) in a house for almost 18 years. In May of 2017 I got new neighbors that moved in and they brought with them their twice convicted violent felon 24 year old son who was living on house arrest with them. All they did was party and ya-hoo and smoke dope! I went bananas! It got real ugly but the son eventually moved out! Total loser and loser parents! Enablers!
Cover the windows with one way film. Tiny the windows with the Metallic side out and let the camera pick up glare. The only downside is at night. If the curtains are open and the lights are on, she would be visible.
Can I say fckn harassment from the city got dam. This poor woman contacted the city, got approval for fence, and moved forward with it. Next the same city turns around and sends a nastygram about the very fence they already friggin approved! Can a beotch get her own friggin privacy! Dam all she wants is privacy in her own home!!!
I'm so happy I live on my farm. NO neighbors in sight, lots of stars, no traffic, and I get to fall asleep with coyotes howling every night. The BEST life ever. 🥰
Every neighborhood has to have at least one shitty neighbor that has nothing better to do with their life. You put up this privacy fence because you got tired of her spying on you, and she decided to get even because she now has to find something else to occupy her time, like maybe getting a job!
All my neighbors are awesome. The ones behind me have a stupid dog and they could do more to make it quite. The other two are awesome and one is helping me build my fence. The meth heads down the street are all nice and keep to themselves. Pretty comfortable here lol.
There needs to be a nationwide bill passed for this in regards to residential properties. People take advantage of it and do it on purpose. What I would recommend is installing windowed mirror tint on all the windows on that side of the house. You’ll still be able to see out, but they won’t see in. An extra benefit to the mirror tint, if the sun hits that side of the house at all, which I sure hope it does, it will reflect and wash that camera right out rendering it temporarily dead. If it damages the camera, the home owner would not be liable because you allowed anywhere to install any tint on any house EVERYWHERE :)
@@agentdsmith I guess she will have to put up with letting in fresh air from the opposite side of the house. Not that great if she needed to air out a bathroom or something.

I’ve been through something similar. I had a neighbor use the old law still on the books called “adverse possession”. It’s where a neighbor uses your property for five years and then they can claim it (CA). It turned out it was two attorneys who were my neighbors who planned this knowing the law. I knew a friend who knew an attorney who took me on pro bono. Long story short....we won, he had them disbarred and of course they moved. I had another neighbor move my fence five feet over my line when I was out of town. I won that one also. It is truly unbelievable how spiteful and mean people can be. First thing I did when I’ve bought homes after that was to walk the property line. I’m really distressed that people have such spite inside them.
@@daviddiehl197 Oh, too bad, but it was great of you to try. One day you'll just be driving around and look over, and there it'll be. Until then, thanks again for trying to help this sweet elderly lady out. 😷🖐

The only problem with that is if someone slips and breaks their leg on that driveway it is your Dad that will get sued since it's his property. Something to think about !

The neighbor "doesn't feel safe?" That tells you all you need to know about that woman. You can probably guess a whole lot of demographic information about her. The poor old lady should be left in peace.
The neighbor who doesn’t feel safe is Lakesha. That could tell some people you didn’t listen to learn only to respond with race baiting. Can one guess a whole lot of demographic information about you as well? We all need to learn to live in peace. 💛💯
If you read the ordinance she was in non-compliance from the front of her house to the street. She' should have gotten a permit and that would have prevented this confusion. The person who built it should have known the laws, but either didn't know or built it anyway. Most cities don't allow you to put any kind of privacy fence that extends past the front of your house.
This lady needs to buy herself a mirror the size of her window and have it installed with the mirror facing out. She can put a nice picture on the back of the mirror - OR there are very good quality window clings that offer privacy while you can still look out, the sunshine is reflected outwards in mirror fashion which really helps in keeping your house cooler. Good luck to you Ruby - we here in Canada have similar problems with jerks on a mission.
I feel for the elderly neighbor but this is probably what caused most of the problem. If you want the fence you should have to look at the ugly side or choose a design that doesn't have an ugly side.
While I think neighbor reaction to the fence is excessive, I think the issue is that the fence was built with the unfinished side of the fence looking at neighbors property. If I don’t remember wrong, the finished side of a fence, should be facing outside not inside.
The neighbor may have made a stink when the work was being done and refused to let anyone stand on her property to work. This the smooth side is on the wrong side.
The city needs to change the law about privacy regarding this situation where the camera isn't for surveillance surveillance for crime but obviously into someone's windows!
I think I have a solution, a high powered laser pointer can damage a camera. Sooo, need I say more (just make sure you are out of the cameras line of sight)? Another option, at least for night time, is set up a reflective mirror, it will bounce the IR light back at the camera and blind it.
I had a similar issue where a new neighbor decided it was ok to just look in my house whenever he wanted. I put up a fence (within code), and he put up a couple camera's. Well, he really got pissed with my next step. There is a product called Wndow privacy film. It is a very thin vinyl that you put on the inside of your window. You can still see out with no problem at all, but anyone trying to look in, only get a mirror effect. Bought it, and it was super easy to install. He tried to complain that my windows were now a danger, because it was "blinding" when light hit it (which is completely untrue as it does not reflect light). But, police told him I was not violating any laws or codes, and the window tints were perfectly fine to use. They also told him that there is a "Peeping Tom" law, and if they get one more complaint from any of his neighbors, they will becoming back, and not just to talk. Yup, apparently I was not the only neighbor her was doing this to. It is kind of funny, because I suggested the window tint to all surrounding neighbors, and now when you drive down my street you see a bunch of houses that look like they have mirrors for windows, and boy was he really pissed about that, lol. This all happened about 3 years ago, and he just placed his house on the market. Thank goodness, cannot wait for him to be gone. But, I am leaving my window tint up, as it really is great. I get all the light coming in, without worrying about weirdos looking in.
At 2:30 take a look at how shitty that fence looks from the neighbor's side. EVERYWHERE I've lived, the code calls for the "better" side of the fence to face the neighbor. Is that not a code violation? Shouldn't that fence be disassembled and rebuilt with all the posts and support pieces facing Ruby Ballard Harris for her to have to look at?
There’s window covering that you can apply that will allow you to look out but stop someone from looking in. You can find it at hardware stores and it’s not too expensive.
Oh momma I'm so sorry this is happening! 💞 I wish I was your other neighbor... I'd be helping you all I could, I'd put up privacy screens That come out" but not over the fence! Long as you cant see the side of there home at all...plain and simple! Then billed up a very lovely an nice sitting area on the other side of the home! Forget about these people Sue them for harassment if they continue to spread false statements To the city council... God bless you sweety 🙏🙏🙏
`That camera is non functional - no blue light. And it is behind glass which means if it does work at night.... (big IF) the infrared beam would blind it out when it bounces off the glass. Edit 6 days later: Can someone buy a roll of mirrored window tint for Grandma's breakfast room windows - if that's the concern, then Lakeisha can look at her self in the mirrored reflection.
Same with my home, been here 21 years, girl next door moved in her bf 2 years ago and it has been a living hell. He cracked doors of both my cars, obnoxious dog...driveway always full of projects and his trucks...and now cameras filming my property. I put up a fence, it is ridiculous what people get away with. It does cause someone health issues, it has me. Stress and heart strain and they couldn't care any less. Calling a property lawyer this week.
Purchase a green or blue/violet light laser (Ebay). "Paint" the camera lens multiple times. Repeat as needed to discourage invasion of privacy. [From personal experience, I know it works, to limit prying eyes from a nasty neighbor.]
Why would you be concerned about neighbour putting up a fence...every country that i have lived in you are allowed to put up a fence or wall! I couldnt live with my neighbour being able to see if my house every day!
The fence is really ugly on the neighbors side. In michigan you are required to put the "ugly" side on the side of the people who built it. The fence builder also did a terrible job on the ugly side.
If I lived near this nice lady I would volunteer to install an extremely bright flood light to shine at that camera 24/7. Make it solar powered so no extra expense on her utility bill.
Had/have a similar situation with the Karen’s next door. They put a ring doorbell camera on top of their garage to watch me leave in and out of my house. So I put up a mesh privacy fence 15 feet in the air . The next day they removed their camera from eye view .
Like braking tiles from the edge of mi house outer wall dumping there garbage on my roof throwing pint on my walls and most importantly messing with my car while it's parked
I would put an awning over the window that slants down toward the fence. Or just use window blinds since there really isn't anything to see out of the window except the side of the fence. Sucks to have a neighbor like that!
Put in a flood light and point it right at the camera.
Best idea yet.

There is a sidewalk there, so perhaps a narrow trellises with cheap plastic vines on it.

The real crime is that you need to call the city to get permission to do what you want with your “property”.
Exactly, we're just given the illusion of "owning property "
When it comes to fences yes.
@@shannon9155 And why? Whose business is it how tall your fence is? You should be able to put up any height fence you want so long as it doesn't interfere with the migration patterns of birds or cause jetliners to divert to an unobstructed air space.
No, it’s there to protect both parties, because otherwise, people might build something over the property line.
You never really own your house...
Lol
Wow!!!
Tf is wrong with these people. 18 inches vs 23 feet
@@BestMods168 - he did have a serious head injury years earlier on a motorcycle. So………
That is crazy illegal to mess with survey markings
The charges they should be going for is harassment using a camera as the tool, not public filming laws. Peeping toms and stalking is illegal
I had a neighbor years ago that pointed a camera at my house, it's only illegal if the camera is pointed at a window and can see inside the house.
Hopefully the POS neighbor only put up a fake camera.
The laws need to be updated. Now it’s basically if I can see it, I can film it and with today’s technology even the poorest pervert can afford a camera.
Interesting calling her a peeping Tom.
It's not illegal to install a camera looking out your window regardless of where it is pointed, dumbass.
Somebody help the poor lady. Noisy neighbors.
Yeah. She sounds like a nightmare. Did they say she was noisy as well though? Maybe this woman could call in noise complaints?
No one should be able to to install a camera that invades your privacy in your property.
There needs to be law addressing this type of voyeurism/ peeping Tom
The camera is installed inside their home. What you are suggesting is that it should be illegal for someone to look out their window and that is just stupid.
The camera isn't invading someone's privacy.
There should be a law banning you from commenting on youtube.
The camera is put up for the sole reason to harass the neighbor so yes there should be a law against it.
@@stuwest5862 Shouldn't be aimed at the neighbors property. Aim down at your ground/driveway if you are worried about some breaking in. No you wouldn't. Contractors are leeches.
They make wallpaper that has bathroom designs. Put that on the inside of the window.
Wait till the neighbor calls for the illegal bathroom
Cameras are illegal if they are pointed at the neighbors windows and invades their privacy. I would install my own cameras pointed right back. Neighbors from hell...harassing someone for no reason.

Creeps? In what way? Could you offer a little more insight into the creep part?
even the elderly are susceptible to evil witches
Install cameras of your own into the sick neighbor's yard and post her comings and goings online.
This is a great advice!! She should do fight back with technology!!
Savage move would be building a private outdoor shower so it is considered a bathroom and have the city force her to remove the camera.
Put an old toilet in the yard on the neighbor's side of the property - that'll give them plenty to argue about. :D
It appears the angry and troubled neighbor either has a connection in city hall or has played this game before.
But why play this game? What can you get out of it besides making everyone as miserable as this person seems to be.
He asked WHY??? I would have been like WTF ARE YOU SO DAMN NOSIE.

The fence looks great by the way ; I would have no complaints if i were her neigbor. I would have one the same way.
Cover the windows with one way film. Tiny the windows with the Metallic side out and let the camera pick up glare.
The only downside is at night. If the curtains are open and the lights are on, she would be visible.
Point a laser into the camera at night (ensures that the laser is hitting the lens). This will obscure the image from the camera.
Can I say fckn harassment from the city got dam. This poor woman contacted the city, got approval for fence, and moved forward with it.
Ed Carrithers rather have you as a neighbor. I wouldn’t mind hearing that :/
The mirrored tint isn't a bad idea but it won't work if the window is opened for fresh air

Why in the world would anyone want a LOWER fence? The neighbor is nuts. The fence provides privacy for both properties.
My closest neighbor is five miles away. Aw peace and tranquility.
Sad some people are truly miserable I hope you get some peace and justice seeing you lived in your home for such a long time ❤
In Florida she would be told to turn the fence panels around, they are backwards, I've seen it happen.
Seriously the city needs to tell this woman who’s complaining that they will fine her and start charging her for every complaint.
The City should be supporting and defending this poor lady. They are not much help. She is being harassed.

Usually the one putting up the privacy fence is the one being wronged
So sad 😢😢
Around here we need to have the nice side of the fence facing out, this lady's fence looks backwards to me.
Same here.
Never understood that you should be able to have the attractive side of the fence facing your land
I feel for the elderly neighbor but this is probably what caused most of the problem. If you want the fence you should have to look at the ugly side or choose a design that doesn't have an ugly side.
The neighbors can paint the "ugly side" if the so choose to so what's the problem???
Where I live, if you pay for the fence, you get the nice side.
why I live on the very rear of 38 heavily wooded acres..................
While I think neighbor reaction to the fence is excessive, I think the issue is that the fence was built with the unfinished side of the fence looking at neighbors property.
If I don’t remember wrong, the finished side of a fence, should be facing outside not inside.
I think you are right. The unfinished side should be facing your property. The neighbor could plant shrubbery.
The neighbor may have made a stink when the work was being done and refused to let anyone stand on her property to work. This the smooth side is on the wrong side.
The city needs to change the law about privacy regarding this situation where the camera isn't for surveillance surveillance for crime but obviously into someone's windows!
In many places the "finished" side must face the neighbor if you erect the fence. This lady's fence is the opposite.
That's not a law, it's a suggestion for maintaining good neighbor relations if you want that, it's the nice thing to do but you don't have to.
@@terramarini6880 In some places it IS in the ordinance. Where I lived in Florida, the county had such a provision.

I think I have a solution, a high powered laser pointer can damage a camera. Sooo, need I say more (just make sure you are out of the cameras line of sight)? Another option, at least for night time, is set up a reflective mirror, it will bounce the IR light back at the camera and blind it.
You point a Laser pointer into the camera lens. It will no longer function as a camera
I'd be helping you all I could,
I'd put up privacy screens
That come out"
but not over the fence!
Long as you cant see the side of there home at all...plain and simple!
Then billed up a very lovely an nice sitting area on the other side of the home! Forget about these people
Sue them for harassment if they continue to spread false statements
To the city council...
Just leave this poor woman alone! Her home is beautiful and clean. I can’t understand why people have to be so nasty. 😕👎🏻
Sounds like my neighbor whom likes to creates problems.
She can randomly put a cheap laser with widespread aimed at her fence. Will knock out that camera. Or an infrared light at night.
Purchase a green or blue/violet light laser (Ebay). "Paint" the camera lens multiple times. Repeat as needed to discourage invasion of privacy. [From personal experience, I know it works, to limit prying eyes from a nasty neighbor.]
It's an apartment building on the left. The landlord can help this lady by hiking the rent.
Tall fences usually make the best neighbors.
Why would you be concerned about neighbour putting up a fence...every country that i have lived in you are allowed to put up a fence or wall! I couldnt live with my neighbour being able to see if my house every day!
The fence should be 20 feet tall.
Actually fences shouldnt be that short. Its called a fence which means no one can just hop on it and no one could see you from outside.
That’s so weird like why would u be wanting to look in sombody house for and she said they was staring at her eat? That’s so weird.
Had/have a similar situation with the Karen’s next door. They put a ring doorbell camera on top of their garage to watch me leave in and out of my house. So I put up a mesh privacy fence 15 feet in the air . The next day they removed their camera from eye view .
Earlier my neighbour were good but now these new fellows came they are destroying my property again and again
What are they doing?
Like braking tiles from the edge of mi house outer wall dumping there garbage on my roof throwing pint on my walls and most importantly messing with my car while it's parked
I would put an awning over the window that slants down toward the fence. Or just use window blinds since there really isn't anything to see out of the window except the side of the fence. Sucks to have a neighbor like that!
Tall shrubs. I don’t think most cities have restrictions on the height of tress.
Speaking from bad-neighbor-experience, trees/shrubs can be easily vandalized. And these types of crazy neighbors will do it.
This woman put up this fence to prevent her neighbor from staring at her. The neighbor needs to stop harassing her. End of story.
