I need to replant some sod in about 1 yard around a new patio. The paver folks left me with this yard of baserock. The condo folks need it to be grass up to the edge of the paver. I understand the prep work and laying of the sod needed. My question, when should I allow the yard cutting folks, to cut my new 1 yard strip? They cut once a week here in FL this time of year. Thanks. Oh, I do have access to a water hose for that strip to water myself...
How do you make sure that the new sod will be level with the existing lawn? It seems that by digging up 6 inches of soil and loosening it, once you add the sod and begin watering, that area would begin to settle, causing it to be lower than the rest of the lawn?

Spraypaint. Your local pqint store will be able to colour match if you bring a sod sample in to them.

Check if your area has block and stone business near by; most carry sod, mulch, dirt, etc.
Garden centers, some flower nursery’s. Etc.. google locally….
