Well, Shawn, it looks like you hit the jackpot once again, and when you win, we the viewers win. Thank you for sharing your 2 great finds with us.❤️🙏❤️🙏❤️
The best sounding/playing set I ever played was a Club Date just like those.Same time period. A house set at a Senior Center in Port Richie,Fla. back around 1982.They let me take it home to do some repairs. The Pioneer snare was absolute perfection. I will never forget the residents dancing 20's style while playing those drums.
Nice sets man. I know what you mean about gluing the wrap. That's the only way to go in my book. It has to effect the sound of the drum not being glued.
Thanks brother 🙏 it's the only way I'll wrap a set! If you are going to do all the work and spend the $ why not do it the way it's been done forever. I've seen many Asian kits with only tape bubble and get wavy after time. Just my opinion though.
He should've laquered it as natural woodtone. These kits are like a classic vehicle, they're only original once. So if you're going to strip off the original wrap, don't try to be the Ludwig factory by rewrapping, because they never turn out as good as they did originally from Ludwig.
I Dig those. Can’t help thinking, while taking the old wrap off that first kit, I hope the guy didn’t pull off any wood! Eeeeesh… Not trying to be a downer, though. We just have these thoughts ya know. That Club Date is piiiiiimp! Thanks for the video!
Really cool to see these! About the only thing I find on marketplace are beat up Ludwig Accent kits that look like they've been pulled out of a ditch.
Thanks man! I see a lot of those or $2500 pearl exports 🤣 not that exports a bad, great for the money but not that money haha

Thanks for watching tom! They are great! Think it's probably the less hardware attached to the shell, I love pioneers!
Oh? This is another one! I thought you restored and re-wrapped the yellow/baby-blue one! 🤪 - Hey, love your videos! Greetings!
Yes this is another one, I still have that one too. Thanks!
Love the stories Shawn! Hilarious checking out other buyers! Best was kit you found out in the field ! 😂
thanks man! haha
Shawn, you're gonna need a museum addition to the house! Lol
Haha it's pretty tight
Awesome. I think I like the sound of the Downbeat better. When you play Ringo, you have to put your wallet on the snare. Or a pack of Marlboros.
Thanks 🙏I do too! And some tea towels haha I'll probably swap out the heads on the club date eventually.
4th video in a row the goat strikes again
Thanks 🙏 but wait there's more haha

Yes the double-sided sticky tape makes the drums bubble up if they're exposed to any heat!
Another great find Shawn!
Thanks Earl!
Thanks for sharing.. Love your content.
🙏
Both killer deals I think! I'd take either set at those prices. That original kit is sweeeeet.
Thanks brother 🙏
Amazing!
🙏
I'd be interested in watching you glue the wrap on these.
Planning on it!
‘Here come ol flattop……’
🙏
Both sound great but there’s just something about the Downbeat that speaks to me more
Me too!

@@shawnsdrumcave Great! Glad to hear it. Take care Buddy.
Nice drum kits.but should of had a professional do that.wondering what color was the wrap before
I agree! But I'll fix it, it was silver sparkle originally!
do you have ant ludwig kits for sale love that black ouster kit please let me know
I don't at this time! Thanks for watching
Let.me.guess you got these kits for like 600$ each
You'll have to watch to find out 🤣 not quite but still good deals imo $850-1500, brushed the cob webs off the wallet for these lol
To even find someone trying to sell one of these kits around me, at 1500$ is as good a deal as I'd ever find around me
@@NintenDub bummer man!
People do the most weird things to there drums, I find it very strange ?? at least you'll sort it out professionally Shawn ??
I agree and yes! I'll straighten it out! Thanks 🙏
