Type 3 was the only test that I had to take twice in order to pass it. I made it a point to be universally certified, whether or not if I ever see a low pressure system, it’s just good to have and it looks better on paper.
My dad and I were just talking about this. We both work in apartment maintenance and they seem to be wanting technicians and above to have universal certification. Really type two is all you ever need.
@@carlesious1 if I remember right, I think I missed my type 3 test by 2 questions. I went back a week later to take it a second time and passed. I was so stoked.
I'm here to thank HVAC School for all they have done for my college and for me as well. I'm a student at a community college and my father is the one who brought me into the world of HVAC. But at my college, I noticed that there's a lot of young guys who needed a second chance. And here it is, we are all now Epa certified, and I will continue my education for my associates. But for a lot of my friends this was their last class it was very emotional and also beautiful to see the amazing work me and my professor had done to teach these guys everything HVAC in 4 weeks, with the help of HVAC School. I couldn't thank you all enough for the information gained from your content. Thanks. - Dante Collins, Houston Community College, Work Force Education 2024-2025
Thank u so much for those helpful videos and the amazing way explaining stuff by watching ur videos and some other u recommend I was able to take my exam and pass all 4 sections together I got 4 years experience of industrial Refrigeration System but didn't k much about the commercial with your videos it took me less then 2 weeks to pass all 4 together
You're videos are so helpful. The classes in in are good, but just not enough hands on before testing for my learning style - so your straight forward discussions are great. About to retest for type 2 & 3 here in about 20 minutes, so I repeated your videos for the hour drive. Thanks so much, and I hope to one day know half of what you seen to know 🤙 Cheers
How did it go? Were you able to pass? I'm set to take my test at the end of the month so I've been Binge watching and cramming the study guide. I'm aiming for universal
Took my test today, passed the core, type 1 and 2 fairly easily but missed the type 3 by one question ! pretty annoying but as im a UK national and doing contract work in the US, the type 2 will be all i need.
your a great teachers i appreciate the knowledge u have giving. one thing i know ima pass the test all 4 . i know not all will be on the will be on the test but im ready
4:48 - Here you say 25 in Hg; but, you point to 25mm Hg. Either you misspoke, or the chart you showed is misprinted. Please clarify for future viewers.
Not to change your thought train but have you ever reported on oil trapping on long linesets at more than 20 feet height distance where condensor is three stories lower than the evaporator ?
Yes. The certification is sequential. To get type three you need type two, to get two you need type one, to get type one you need core. To be able to buy Freon you need a minimum of type one. The core does nothing for you really. Type one is your appliances that plug into the wall. Type two are wired in. Just a rule of thumb. Not how they classify them.

@@Kadaf1 I think they were the same, maybe in a different order. I honestly can’t remember as I took the test almost 3 years ago.

25 mm mg
Also, 25mm is roughly 1in, so I don't see how 25mm Hg is the same as 28.9in Hg. Great videos in any case

Can I get licensed without the type 3? Or does it vary between states
