You two are a proper laugh, so amusing watching you make these 5 min vegan dishes. well played lads, but more importantly you are providing the greater community with some wonderful and easy to make healthy and affordable meals. keep up the good work you pears
Love you guys!!!!! I just turned my friend vegetarian. He hates cooking so I'm teaching him all of your 5-min recipes and he's loving it now hahaha. Thanks guys!!!
We just made this for dinner, it was such a huge hit with my son and my husband. We love you guys so much and own several of your cookbooks for this reason. Your recipes are just pure magic and they hit every craving you never knew you had.
just ordered your new book, can't wait to try the recipes. love love love your RUclips channel!! thanks for making easy, tasty vegan food from a fan in Tasmania, Australia!! xoxo
Fantastic dish! It's so nice to have you guys for company while I cook, it makes cooking so much more enjoyable instead of being a tedious chore. Thanks 😘
Wow!!! i just made this. without the mushrooms (ew, mushrooms, lol). i added 2 sticks celery instead. this was AMAZING! my mother used to make (meat) spag bol every wednesday when i was a child, and it was awful; sloppy and just tasted of tomato. this is anything but sloppy. its so tasty. it took me about 15-20mins as im a super slow veg-chopper and i let the onion soften a little longer. i had some left over jacket potatoes so i had it over that and it was great, i think u could have this with any grain/carb. this is the 3rd "5 min dinner" ive made from these guys and theyve all been amazing and so easy!! cant believe i didnt find this channel sooner! thanks happy pear!
Oh my fecking gawd, you two are now, my two most favourite guys on u tube, and I worship a few. I've been trying your dishes for two weeks, and cannot fault any of them. You need to be on "this morning " with Holly Willoughby and Philip schofield, as their new healthy cooks. I FECKING LUV U GUYS!
Ok I decided to make this last night, wasn't expecting it, but was blown away! I used gluten free spaghetti instead of courgetti. The flavours combined make heaven in your mouth I'm telling you!!!
This is freaking amazing. I know for atleast us young people we know that vegan food can be good but if often takes a hella lot of time. This is 5 minutes! Super cool, I'll try this in one of the next few days
Hi, Another amazing dish cooked this evening from Bosh all plants cookery book. Page 86, Spaghetti Bolognese and I was astonished how filling and tasty this meal was considering there was no vegan mince in it too. I will try your above You Tube video for the other variation to Spaghetti Bolognese next week. This book was well the money our son paid for me. Thank you once again you have inspired me to cook vegan meals forever now. xxx
big fat omnivore from america here trying to make a difference in my diet... I subbed white onions instead of red, soy souce instead of tamari and black beans instead of lentils, left out the sweetener. Sprialized some zucchini... LOVED IT! plus, as I tally this as a 3 serving dish... it's around 260 (edited) calories per serving(most of that's the oil)!! Filling and tasty! Didn't add any of the almonds or nutritional yeast... will do that next time
This has a lot of similarities with the Sloppy Joes you guys did the other day - which I used half of it for the sandwiches and half of it for bolognese! Definitely approved.
Well if that isn't the best recommendation for spiralizing ever=D You guys are the bomb.com. Your videos have the same quality as Jamie & Gordon--no joke! Lot's of love from NZ!!
I am actually from the US & my hubs is a Kiwi. that's how I landed here. My birthday is on St. Patrick's day and I have always loved all things Irish, so thanks for that Irish love. Here's wishing you mega YT stardom! You so deserve it=D
I just made this dish and it is soo awesome i love it!! 😍 did not have any mushrooms on hand so i skipped them!! Still turned out perfect and delicious *0*
Your channel should have been called the Happy Tamari :DDD keep up these 5minute meals with international dishes. Could you include veganised Irish and English, maybe Scottish dishes as well? plsssssss :)
I just took down your ingredients, and i'm about to give it a whirl.. I'll be back with a score out of 10 lol :D . oh yeah it was loaded with flavour and textures, I give it a 8 out of 10 👌
You can do a simple vegan Spaghetti alla bolognese using mashed tomatos, onions and... chopped walnuts! You'll love it! I'm italian... I know how cook pasta! ;-)
Before using beans and legumes, you need to rinse them thoroughly under cool water. If you're using lentils, mung beans, or split peas you don't need to soak them overnight (you can cook them after rinsing them) Cannellini, chickpeas, Red kidney need to soak overnight. After soaking, drain the beans and rinse them thoroughly with clean water. Cook the beans until they are tender but not mushy (If you are using a pressure cooker, the cooking times will be significantly shorter), Salt can disrupt the cooking, so should not be added while soaking or during the first hour of cooking. just add salt a 5-10 minutes before they're ready.
3 cloves of garlic, chopped
2 TB oil
1 carrot grated
1/2 red onion
200 g oyster mushrooms, finely chopped
pinch of salt
4 TB of tamari sauce
1 TB liquid sweetener (date sirup, agave sirup, maple sirup, honey)
1 400 g tin of lentils, rinsed
1 tin chopped tomatoes
small bunch of basil
season with salt and black pepper to taste
sprinkle with nutritional yeast
keep the 5 min ones coming so useful for me as a vegan student !
Thanks Patrick! Let us know what recipes you'd like to see next!
It's also very useful for a single mom! Thank you!
They're good recipes but maybe cook them a little longer
useful for a glutenfree soyfree almost vegan too :)
@@HuusHuus-zc2zl Exactly what I was saying. Onion or peppers do not cook down in 5 minutes. 15 minute meals are more realistic IMO
You two are a proper laugh, so amusing watching you make these 5 min vegan dishes. well played lads, but more importantly you are providing the greater community with some wonderful and easy to make healthy and affordable meals. keep up the good work you pears

I have to say I haven't gotten on the courgetti bandwagon, being vegan & all, but this looked like such a great way to do it--YUM!!
This one really surprised us, it tastes much better with the courgette that actual pasta. :D
Well if that isn't the best recommendation for spiralizing ever=D You guys are the bomb.com. Your videos have the same quality as Jamie & Gordon--no joke! Lot's of love from NZ!!

Hahahah def will do! 😄😋🙌
looks great lads. anyone know of supermarkets that sell oyster mushrooms?
I spotted them in aldis
What would you suggest as a replacement for mushrooms? I'm not a fan, but love the look of this dish!!
mince or quorn mince x
TVP would be great! Or maybe even tofu or tempeh! Really, probably, whatever you're into that would add that sort of rich meatiness! 😃
WoW! this is hell fire stove! I really like such fire! Wok style!
where did you guys get your oyster mushrooms?
Yummo
Yum!
😍
I just took down your ingredients, and i'm about to give it a whirl.. I'll be back with a score out of 10 lol :D .
oh yeah it was loaded with flavour and textures, I give it a 8 out of 10 👌
how can we replace the mushrooms since we are allergic to it
Try tofu or beans or leave it out! 😄😜🙌
Courghetti...hah! Love it! Much better than zoodles.
jackienopants, what are zoodles?
@@munestones6949 Zucchini noodles. They call it courghetti because they call zucchini courgettes. You make it with a tool called a spiralizer.
@@munestones6949 Courgettes are known as Zucchini in the US.
That looks more like a campfire than a frying pan! Whoa!
Hey, it wouldn't kill the flavour if I added a red chili with seeds would it?
Only one way to find out! ; ) Maybe start with half to see how it does?
kinda surprised you didn't go for those fried breadcrumbs(i think it was called pan gratata?), the traditional Parmesan alternative.
Those flames freak me out. I see in later videos they use an electric induction hob. Wonder if they had a fire?
Excellent. It really took only 5 minutes.. Thanks vegan Bolognese!! ☺😎
Fuck yeah nutritional yeast. I put it on everything
What product did you use to spiralize the courgette? Btw courgetti - lol
It's a Kenwood spiralizer 😄👍🙌
You can do a simple vegan Spaghetti alla bolognese using mashed tomatos, onions and... chopped walnuts! You'll love it! I'm italian... I know how cook pasta! ;-)
Mmmm yummy, thank you for the tip :-P
loooking yum!
Great channel😄
Cheers Grace 😄👍🙌
I get that using already cooked legumes is easier, but it is so much cheaper to buy dry ones. Can you show us how to prepare them if we buy them dry?
Pot, water, boil.
but soak before overnight to reduce boiling time
Senta Kretzschmar
Not necessary for lentils.
