It's still so odd to me that, originally, Team Rocket Meowth was the only Meowth that walked upright while all the other Meowth walked on all fours like Persian, and it was unique to him, but now every Meowth walks like Team Rocket's Meowth. I feel like it kind of cheapened his uniqueness.

The graphical glitches that can happen are certainly….interesting. I was helping my friend in a stream (her first Pokémon game reaction + me explaining some of the details and references while vaguely redirecting her in the same way one might herd a cat toward the location she wants to go) and at some point my character’s face just got frozen into a freakish grin that only shifted briefly to adapt to a scripted animation before grinning again. It was very unsettling and hilarious at the same time lol

Honestly, a better example for that unaware meme would be fluttermane, since that not only is equally menacing, but it also is a Mon that clodsire actually counters. Even with out ddances, roaring moon just clicks eq twice and murders it.

Pause lost any right to claim he's an OG Pokemon fan because he doesn't know that Meowth the species that was originally quadrupedal, however because of the popularity of Team Rocket's Meowth in the anime, Meowth became bipal. It was part of Meowth's backstory that he learned how to walk and talk like a human to try and woo a girl.

I just finished Scarlet the other day....yeeesh...poor Arven...dude has the most heartbreaking story line in the game..in all the games...Penny and Team Star is pretty relatable to anime, manga, and video game lovers since we tend to get bullied in school for liking that stuff...so yeah...story for this gen was pretty stand out, wondering what they are gonna do for DLC.
Normally, Meowth's walk on all fours, but Team Rocket's Meowth walks on two because a lady Meowth he fell in love with said she preferred humans to pokemon, so he struggled hard to learn English and walk on two legs to be more human-like.
Unfortunately Nintendo decided to have all Meowths be on two legs to avoid having to make more sprites for the game

Gotta say I'm loving the new Pokemon Scarlet version, up until the start of the new year till now I caught 7 shinies so far. 3 Lechonks,2 Litleos,1 Tarountula & 1 Scatterbug. And I'm not even a shiny hunter I'm just exploring the region lol.

There was a few mainseries games that Pikachu and Eevee were unobtainable in game, only one of which they shared. Pikachu needed to be transferred into Black, White, Black 2, and White 2. Eevee needed to be transfered into Ruby, Sapphire, Emerald, Black, and White. Good memes, good fun video. That just simply came to mind with Noble's comment after the one on Ghastly and Gyrados. At least in terms of gen 5, Ghastly being in only White, Magikarp making into all four.

I don't recall if anything was said about the other parent aside from the journal saying they left with Arven shortly after he was born, but he still says he had no one but Mabostiff. Did they still become a researcher? Could they actually show up in a DLC trying to use the time machine to bring back the one who died?
It's weird that when they redid the French Canadian Pokémon dub, they decided to go with the French Pokémon names instead of using the English one like when I was a teenager 25 years ago. Cue the moments where my daughter corrects me because I call Ash "Ash" instead of "Sacha". And when I play the games with her, all the names are unknown to me. Like what's a fucking "Dracofeu"? It's a freaking CHARIZARD!!!

Just about any dragon type in a meta with fairy types would run coverage moves with the investments to out-speed and OHKO any opposing fairy types, or invest in enough hp and bulk to tank super effective hits.
I’m making a fake on region for a fanfic based on the East coast, southwest, Midwest, and southern US with a bit of Alaska and Canada. I have the staple Pokémon of Gaston line, Magikarp line, Eevee line (with a dragon and bug evolution added), and Pikachu line. But the Pikachu line is hard to find in the wild because unless they stick to groups at all times, they’re just picked off. One of Pichu’s biggest predators is the Pseudo legendary line’s first and second evolutions, which are salamanders that hunt by spitting water at Pokémon on the edge water’s edge. And the Pikachu line isn’t native, it was brought over because of popularity alone with the Kanto starters, who flourished so well in the region that the got regional vainest. Pikachu we’re just completely sniped anytime trying to set up a thriving colony was attempted and it’s only starting to work now because of modern tech. So there are 2 Pika clones. An Electric/Earth pocket gopher and what is literally just the ghost of all these perished Pikas. It’s called Pikaboo and one of the main characters catches one as her first Pokémon and named her Spooky.
There is also a Fairy/Ice type Pokémon that exists only because a bunch of Alolan Vulpix and Alolan Ninetails escaped captivity and bred with Glaceon and Sylveon. They have no evolutions, but look like a very fluffy, pale pink and white cross between Eevee and Vulpix. They character that catches Pikaboo has one as an unofficial starter (rich girl running away from abusive home story). It’s called Polepine and hers is named Tundra.
The grass type starter is a wild puppy, so it has a sort of split evolution. It’s the same creature, just different secondary typing based on how much friendship you have when it evolved. Above 50% it evolves into a Grass/Fairy line and below 50% it evolves into a Grass/Dark line, both with the aesthetic of different fairytale forests- a bright and shining fairy forest with lots of light shades and colors or a dark and dangerous mystic forest with deeper hues and ominous shades. They both have different personalities, too. Grass/Fairy is loyal and attention seeking while Grass/Dark is aggressive and hates being touched despite craving close connections. The one main rival raised his to be a Grass/Dark out of hurt feelings for something that happened. On the other hand, the one main character raised his to be a Grass/Fairy and helps the rival (not his rival) connect with his Pokémon so that it learns to trust and rely on him, which is hard to do for that species.
The fossils are a rock/ghost saber toothed cat, a rock/electric raptor, and a rock/steel ceratopsian. Fossils are best found around a tar pit and there is also a Ghost/Water Pokémon that is just a blob of sentient tar brought to life because of all the animals that died in the tar pit it was born from. Tarpear is basically the region’s Ditto only… scarier, when it uses transform, it turns into a gooey, black, tar version of its target that had no face except for glowing white eyes. Rachel, the main main character has one named Blobby and she loves him.
And the region bug type is just a set up for a visual pun. Pupperpillar is a caterpillar with a puppy head and Puppa is a chrysalis with marking that looks like a dogs face all to make Flydo, a papillon dog with butterfly wings foe ears. The first Pokémon Rachel encounters when she becomes a trainer is a shiny Pupperpillar she helps on the way to the professor’s lab to get her first Pokémon. When she leaves the lab with her starter, she finds the Pupperpillar followed her scent and had just caught up with her. She wanted to be Rachel’s Pokémon so she became the first one Rachel caught. Since it’s line is the Cuddle Bug Species, Rachel names her Snuggles. By the end of Rachel’s first day as a trainer, Snuggles has evolved and Rachel learns how to get her to her final evolution. Flydo has 3 forms based on dog coat patterns. They all have a bug type green base with darker bug type green markings that symbolizes their secondary type- brindle stripes for grass, phantom bicolor for fire, and merle patches for water- as well as paler bug green markings unique to each individual to tell them apart. You evolves Puppa by exposing it to a leaf, fire, or water stone. Since Rachel chose a fire type starter, she and Snuggles choose to use the leaf stone. Snuggles is to Rachel what Pikachu is to Ash, so she’s always out of her Pokeball and assisting where she can.
I like how the Pokédex and region is turning out. It’s been fun making it! Finding new creatures to make Pokémon out of is hard but fun. And Inlove doing split evolutionary lines like with the grass starter, the regional bird, the regions pre-evo for Milktank and Tauros, and a foal Pokémon that (like the pre-evo) evolves based on gender (mare or stallion).

For general purposes Unaware is actually the better ability against human opponents, versus computers Water Absorb is preferred. Though in the end it all depends of your situation.
