I worked on this video and it was amazing!!! I'm the guy tossin buckets on Dan the drummer's side. The dogs were all incredible and stayed focused all day. Testament to Lauren Henry and Talented Animals-greatest two weeks of work in my entire life...thanks again
4:20 is my favorite when the dog goes "oh shit no wait I can balance on this one" I just love all the times that dog messes up and tries to fix his mistake
This made me cry because of the dedication and talent that everyone and every dog had to have to make this video. I respect the band so much because of their patience. I cry of sadness because this wonderful talent is not well known when it should be. This is pure talent here that deserves to be well known and it saddens me that it is not. But, I cry of joy because of the accomplishments the band has made. The creativity is just jaw dropping and beautiful. This video was 6 years ago and I just, I can't even comprehend it. Amazing, just truly amazing. I wish the best for all of them and hope that the band becomes a huge success, because it truly, truly deserves it, unlike popular music today that puts little to no effort at all into their songs and videos, and yet is more successful. That saddens me so much, but I know to be patient. If anything, this band has taught me patience.
Bryan Agostini Thanks for your judgement bro. There are people who can connect to music very deeply and lots of them cry over certain songs. Only those people would truly understand what I meant by my comment...... "normal" people wouldn't understand that much. :/
+ShanChan don't listen to him - being moved by things like this is totally normal. some people are uncomfortable with it, but they need to mind their own business tbqh.
I mean, since we're engaging here - don't you think maybe some people just cry at some things you wouldn't, and that doesn't necessarily hold more weight for them than being moved by something holds for you?
Man, if you aren't moved to tears by the incredible things that humans(and dogs) can accomplish when coming together, what will? You might be in tune with your emotions, but understand that some people are just as touched by human cooperativeness as you might be for something more dramatic or sad.
When you watch it like this it hits different.. the concept, planning, training, practice, and flawless execution come into vivid focus. OK Go to me are a bunch of artists in every sense who just happen to be in a band.
I had always assumed they filmed each dog separately with a green screen, then combined them. The fact that they were using multiple dogs doing tricks at the same time made the final video exponentially more amazing.
I started crying when Trish did, then I straight BAWLED during the full take. Everyone deserves a gold medal, aaaaaand I just wanna hang this video on my wall. Thank you for showing over all these years what it's like to just never give up on your ideas, and I hope Obsession wins the Webby Award. 💗
trish sie reminds me of a teacher i loved. and if there's anything better than watching the final product, which is one of my all-time favorite music videos (at the top of the list with possibly all other ok go videos), it's watching the making, with all the chaos and hilarity. and watching trish get all emotional makes me love them all even more, they're so invested in each project. to see the final shot get nailed from behind the scenes was exciting. and the dogs!!!!
pretty moving stuff. We all love the end product the band (and all the other folks behind the scenes) creates - but to get to see the magical moment when hours and hours of work, culminate in an emotional pep talk followed by THE take... incredible. This might be my favorite OK Go video of all time - and it's not even an official music video!
4:55 Gosh, what a lovely speech Trish! She's right, this was a very special project, and I can tell that everyone involved got very comfortable with each other and the dogs over the course of production; I'm kind of envious of them. That said, at least EVERYONE online got the incredible final video as a result.
i actually cried, seeing all these effort you guys put. the simplicity, the concept, and the attachment of your concept. im a designer, so i know whats it like to have this strong ideas, and when things gets tough u thought what the hell and settle for less (easier) so glad U DIDN'T and u nailed it. so thank you :") for the inspiration.
Wow! I just saw the official video today and was amazed. Thank you for posting this behind the scenes-footage. Awesome! Great artwork and I really appreciate how many hours that went into that. Such a good job the trainers did! Thumbs up!
It's so refreshing to see something different these days. You guys are truly unique, creative and very talented. Keep up the great work. It's much appreciated and thoroughly enjoyed!
Watched this whole series! Such a great video! Loved seeing all the outtakes and all the interactions with the dogs. Job EXTREMELY well done to everyone involved!
You guys, again, are heroes. All of you--OK Go, camera & crew, and the dogs. 'Specially the dogs. Well-done. Interesting to see from all those angles, too :)
Just think how hard it is to control a single dog... AND you made the whole video in one go! You guys are AWESOME!!!🤩 Who had the idea to add the goat? 😁
Thanks for sharing! I told myself OMG this vid is so good and it must have been so hard to do... the behind-the-scenes is fascinating. And it doesn't take the magic out of the video at all :) Congrats to the whole crew and woof woof to the dogs!
170 tries!!! I'm really impressed and affected! You give me motivation to do the things I love to do and just try all over again! THANK YOU, it's AMAZING.
This really blew my mind when I was watching it. Your dedications for music and great videos are greatly appreciated. I believe your name will go far and become huge. :D
@drummerbill805 You guys did an amazing job - have been hanging out for a behind-the-scenes for this video because of its complexity! This is great stuff.
At the beginning the phrase "Never work with animals" came to mind, but even if they got frustrated I think they were very happy with the end result. This music video always makes me smile ^^
Their slow and gradual realization that yes, they indeed have successfully completed the take, will never fail to make me smile.
Bob: "Um guys... I think I forgot to press the record button."
That reply me laugh so loud I woke up the cat & wow, did I get "the look."
I worked on this video and it was amazing!!! I'm the guy tossin buckets on Dan the drummer's side. The dogs were all incredible and stayed focused all day. Testament to Lauren Henry and Talented Animals-greatest two weeks of work in my entire life...thanks again
How wonderful that must have been. Its just pure joy to watch. :)
Well done! So jealous! Gotta love passion projects.
Only 2 weeks?
@@JoshuaTootell yessir! The band had to leave for about a week to play some shows so it wasn’t even 2 weeks in a row!
They’re all doing such a good job!!!
4:20 is my favorite when the dog goes "oh shit no wait I can balance on this one"
I just love all the times that dog messes up and tries to fix his mistake
The same dog managed to balance on a bucket that was on its side earlier in the video! Like "it fell over, but I can still stand on it!"
I'm still amazed the dog barked nearly PERFECTLY on beat at the end. That take was one in a million💖
0:44 when Damian almost steps on a dog and Andy almost pushes him over lmao

One of the most amazing behind the scenes EVER! I love how it's just a beat count keeping it moving along. Just wow!
The final take just made the actual music video seem so much better. Sometimes seeing behind the curtain makes the magic better.
I had always assumed they filmed each dog separately with a green screen, then combined them. The fact that they were using multiple dogs doing tricks at the same time made the final video exponentially more amazing.
You just insulted OK Go videos :P
I started crying when Trish did, then I straight BAWLED during the full take. Everyone deserves a gold medal, aaaaaand I just wanna hang this video on my wall. Thank you for showing over all these years what it's like to just never give up on your ideas, and I hope Obsession wins the Webby Award. 💗

Best video on you tube that I have watched. Thank you for caring about rescue dogs. Thank you for your music, and awesome videos.
I think the only reason they were able to stay composed for so many takes is because they were working with pure untapped cuteness.
I always cry watching the behind the scenes, such talented people, and dogos, something like this can only be possible with great love and dedication
4:55 Gosh, what a lovely speech Trish!
She's right, this was a very special project, and I can tell that everyone involved got very comfortable with each other and the dogs over the course of production; I'm kind of envious of them. That said, at least EVERYONE online got the incredible final video as a result.
The joy of these outtake videos. LOVE LOVE LOVE
I cant even imagine the talent it took to make this video! Both from the humans AND especially the animals!!! Thanks for a behind tbe scenes!!
Man, these guys must have so much patience. And it always is worth it!
Thank you so much for this! I can never get enough of behind-the-scenes looks when it's so obvious how much work went into something like this.
i actually cried, seeing all these effort you guys put. the simplicity, the concept, and the attachment of your concept. im a designer, so i know whats it like to have this strong ideas, and when things gets tough u thought what the hell and settle for less (easier) so glad U DIDN'T and u nailed it. so thank you :") for the inspiration.
That was so amazing! I loved being able to watch it from those different angles. Great job, everybody who worked on the video, and great job dogs!
One of the best videos I've seen! Made me really happy! Thank you guys!
I always come back to this band and their videos! They’re beyond incredibel
I'm not sure who was more tired. The dogs or the people
there is the saying "never work with animals and kids." But when it works it is AMAZING!
their dedication to their art makes me believe that there is hope for the world. i would love to shake their hands and simply say 'thank you'.
Wow! I just saw the official video today and was amazed.
Thank you for posting this behind the scenes-footage. Awesome!
Great artwork and I really appreciate how many hours that went into that. Such a good job the trainers did!
Thumbs up!
that was just.. amazing. no other words.
you guys are something else
makes me wanna cry. so much effort to make this good video!
Incredible Behides The Scenes! I love it, especially the final =)
OK GO have the best music video that I've seen.
omg....more than 100 takes....i think i would have cried at around 70....great job, you are now my favourite band
Watching this makes me appreciate how hard bands like Ok Go work. They are just incredible and incredibly patient.
The dedication this band has towards their music videos is surreal.... This is why I will love you guys forever
It's so refreshing to see something different these days. You guys are truly unique, creative and very talented. Keep up the great work. It's much appreciated and thoroughly enjoyed!
I thought they have different shot and edited them together after, but no, everything in here is done in one shot. This is amazing
you look at these videos and think - wow, they really must have put a lot of effort into this, but we really have NO idea, do we...
These people and these amazing dogs are the epitome of Zen ... so much patience and love ... thanks and love to all involved in this project!
this is so adorable, the doggies are trying their best!
It took a while but theyre really trying their very best!
Every time I watch this, I am more amazed by the courage of the dogs and the perseverance of the humans. Way to go, all!
Just think how hard it is to control a single dog... AND you made the whole video in one go! You guys are AWESOME!!!🤩

THANK YOU, it's AMAZING.
Nothing short of amazing and wonderful.
I don't know why but I started tearing up a bit watching the final four angle version! That was so awesome! WOW!
Holy crap. This is the dictionary definition of perseverance and hard work.
WAOOOOOO pero que hermosoooo!!!! Que gran producción!!!! FANTASTICOOOO!!!!
The song on this video is called
OK GO - White Knuckles (Static Revenger Club Mix)
Enjoy =)
Simply the best music video EVER.
Give the director a beer! What an incredible job of coordinating the choreography, music, dogs and people. Sooooooo impressive.
Holy crap. That's amazing to be able to see how it's done behind the scenes. Truly great, guys!
6:34 The wide angle is really neat to watch after seeing the full video. Awesome!
you guys are the most patience band in the world, all of your videos took a lot of takes
Just incredible how everyone, dogs included did such a fantastic job! awesome, just awesome!!!
5:35 "And I know some of you are very bonded to these dogs that you have to give back to their owners..." 💔
Did you mean 'Outtakes + 4 Angels', because that's what I see
One of my all time favorite videos.
This is amazing work. I watched the whole thing and loved it!
3:52 "I ain't jumping through your arms"
Bravo. just, seriously, bravo...
So awesome 0u0
I can't stop admire how much effort you put into making this clip 0u0.
And this remix of song is fine too : D
I think the only reason that OkGo's videos are SO awesome is their patience!!!!
sooooo fantastic! cant stop sharing!
loved the complete thing, and could watch this over and over again so funny
It's so cool to see how they do their videos
LOL 3:10 when you're showed up by a dog
also 2:20 CUTEST outtake
This video is adorable and all, but the blooper reel remix is straight fire
Love how the shoes get progressively dirty
Epicness this made my week seeing this outtake reel let alone my day
Best making of EVER
Incrível, que trabalho!!!! Parabéns !!! Clip maravilhoso
when everyone think the video is amazing...the outtakes turns out to be extremely supercalifragilisticexpialidocious fun!!!
wow! just so many to take in during the rough take of the video that you have to watch it over and over again to see everything that's going on
The dedication of these guys, holy shit. Definitely paid off though
i remember when i used to give my mom a hard time because she cried at almost anything semi touching, but here I am, crying watching outtakes of dogs
SOOOO CUTE! Wow that takes alot of takes, patience and time! Haha! LOVED IT!
I feel like crying because I love all of these boys so much. The humans too. I love everyone in this bar.
that last take they show is actually the take that's in the video
awesome video!
Incredible !!!
This is totally awesome!
Yeah, this is really cool, but let's see them do it with CATS.
I agree! But it will seems really hard to train cats like them
Hahaha! The video would be two seconds long...or two hours of uncomfortable starring
I think it can be done... but man, that would be HARD.
The Belgian malinois with the bucket finally got it!
I LOVE THEM!
i appreciate this song sooo much more now that i saw this
WAIT.... there WAS a goat in the video? (4:47) I thought the goat in the muppets video was just a gag, not an actual reference to this video.
At the beginning the phrase "Never work with animals" came to mind, but even if they got frustrated I think they were very happy with the end result. This music video always makes me smile ^^
that's what i call dedication
Even the outtakes are cool !
congrats..excellent job!!
Amazing watching it all come together at the end!
The outtakes are way more fun tav the video!
It looks like Damian is allergic to dogs
I thought that too!! But it turns out that its kinda opposite because he's allergic to Cats
I love the one where Tim points at the bucket, and the dog just boots it over.
Seriously, everyone who worked on this video had the patience of SAINTS.
And PUPPIES PUPPIES PUPPIES. Love.
