Such an easy and powerful technique. So much power to be discovered in DR. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for the tutorial, Josh. Short, sweet, and simple.
Great tutorial, this can be very useful, thanks!
need more like this. thanks. now i can use my phone and make it like mirrorless camera. got my subscribe
Amazing thanks
Great stuff!! Thanks!!
Superb instruction
Great Tutorial
You can also make a manual render in node level, if you what to maintain the effect.
Excellent tutorial: clear, concise and easy to follow.
Thanks. It is an easy way, if we missed a bokeh shot in real time.
Great video
This is really great, it feels really natural.
May I ask, if it ever gives you those bokeh balls when there's light in the background.
Dude, maybe these simple tricks don't show up on the phone screen, but on the big screen they make you grin.
it's not good enough, the depth map is way too rough and flickering. maybe OK with a tiny screen.
You could always change the blur shapes and composite mode to refine the effect.
Hello, I'm new to your channel, and I found this really helpful
I am quite curious that if it gives you the bokeh balls when there are lights in the background?
Great video, no silly music and straight into it. How do you determine that .477 value though? Just the one that you found worked on that clip?
Yeah. It all depends on the clip which will be unique for every different person.
While this is nice and very convenient, is not new as we were able to do this with previous versions using the magic mask. I am pumpted for this upgrade though
nice video. I tried to apply it to my video and out the nodes like you showed but it still doesn't give me the greyed out visualization of the depth map.. Any advice?
Noted
do you recommend adding the blur before any corrections or after?
So digital-fake like phones vs cameras bokeh... really you like it guys?
i agree and somes coms make me fear ^^
it's a little trick for beginners
Need more videos bro 🎉✨😊
This was great information, but am I the only one that feels the lens blur when used with this method seems like it's in an incorrect blend mode? Almost like it's overlaying and creating almost a misty look if the effect is cranked up too high.
Great tutorial but Depth Map is not available on the free version. Just ran into that wall. I was able to do everything but it watermarks it. Looks like I need to pay for the upgrade. But I have a good reason now.
Is there any way to avoid the subjects looking like they're floating if they're shown from head to toe in the frame?
Feather mask out the blur In the bottom of the frame
when i add the depth map it comes up grey, not black and white - any idea why?
Edges are little bit softer 😕
Bro shot this at city creek.

Nice tutorial, but the result looks pretty bad, even worse than what the iPhone does. But it's neat to know that they're working on those features.
"You dont see ghosting" when somehting really unnatural happening on the edge
Your audio volume is too low.
Simple and usefull, but please stop zooming and dezooming on your screen. That's very disturbing (and clearly not necessary)
Everything is going to be ok.
you'll never get it to the quality of a real 1.2 lens, good gimmick but wouldn't use this on pro jobs
Just say this video wasn’t intended for you or don’t say anything at all. Smh!
@@AirFryerPapi, exactly.
Well I would use it because no one is going to know.
As long as it has good framing and beautiful lighting. Everything is good for the client it is good for me.
Anyway this always depends on how much is the client is paying. If the client paying good money, i would consider renting a f 1.2.
adding depth map to the clip doesn't do anything to the clip... Despite Depth Map Preview being on..
