Cycling the Old Coach Road - Horopito to Ohakune

A 20km biking route taking cyclists along the old coach road that used to run between Ohakune and Raurimu Spiral on the Central Volcanic Plateau before the North Island main trunk railway was completed in 1908. Riders get good closeup views of the old viaducts , abandoned when the line was straightened in the eighties.
